Making powerful sander machine with bench grinder
Hello friends, this video is about the sander machine build. In this build, half HP motor has been used which yields greater power while sanding, the maximum speed of belt rotation is 3600rpm. I have used 6mm steel sheet to make all parts. the pulley is made with wooden block and bore of pulley is 13mm. the bolts used for back plate and tool rest are sized 6mm, 2inches each with lock nuts. the size of ball bearings used is 12mm bore and 40mm OD, however you can use your desired ball bearings according to your requirements. the size of sanding belts to be used on this machine is 2 by 72inches. moreover, this machine grinds materials like iron, mild steel, hardened steel, aluminium, glass, brass, wood and other hard materials very well. with half HP motor it grinds material very fast from inclination of 0 to 90 degrees. It is very accurate in grinding all types of materials.

Satsriyakal. The idea is great and very simple, I liked it, but I think prolonged use of the drill will burn up the armature. It would be better if you installed a sewing machine motor and a small lathe chuck
How do you know it's powerful? There's no load, it's just freewheeling. You don't have an electric motor to connect to it, to make a generator? I have no idea how many watts this is.

Начало хорошее, но потом началось.. столько работы, чтобы поставить какую то дрель. Которая не даст никакой точности, у неё патрон болтается взад и вперёд. Да и тупым резцом точить, только нервы портить. Всё это можно было сделать закрепив дрель в тисах и пройти болгаркой по валу. ))

Impressive what you built with so little tools, but designs not so good, because too much strain on drill, that drill chuck and bearings are gonna be gone within a week of use, if not sooner. You need to figure a way to support that drill chuck, and remove working pressure from it. Still a thumbs up!
