Snatching a draw was pretty impressive still tbf
Yes 3..d3 is "unorthodox" but it is a gambit declined and gets him out of position so maybe it's just the Danish Gamibt Declined - Clappencheeks Defence! 8..h6 or f6 feel bad as it is just weakening defence around your king especially since your bishop already protects, and pins his knight, stopping jump to g5. Good instincts his Bb5 is a mistake you can grab the h3 pawn for free Qxh3, but decided against it. Ok 9:25 he's just exchanged pieces and made a disasterous Rd5 move will you spot he just hung his bishop - you are thinking of Ke2 which does nothing. Rxa7 wins bishop and destroys his chances. YAY you spotted it. The joys of commenting as you play. Ok a difficult mate to spot you were rightly panicing about his advanced pawn. Such a shame you'd speeded up towards the end and missed Bxc3+ that would have been amazing wins his rook on a1 (mind you would you have spotted a free rook on a1? 🤣🤣) and wins his a7 pawn. A draw was a fair result in the end.

personally i think best move in opening instead of Bc5 was Nf6 preparing d5. W video tho, keep it up brother. The commitment to the daily chess is impressive
nf6 white be able so play ng5, then you need to play d5 and thats starts some of complicated lines, bc5 is the best movie, if ng5, queen takes
Was it a music strike for the background music on stream?
I believe so
6.Nxd4 losing knight? A tough game difficult to get back from that knight move. To be fair I've played exactly the same opening before and done the same. The game was an over the board in the club championship and I resigned - we were 5 mins into the game :(
Talk about relatable. Not my best work but let’s keep improving
Got to respect the daily upload at least. Would you ever play a game against viewers? Kind of curious how that would go. Also, yeah. Definitely branch out into other content if that's what you're interested in doing
I do on stream. I’m gonna keep grinding my boy
Never ever play randoms online rated, haha, I learned the same lesson!
First time i make a comment, i really appreciate you, you are really human, i dont understand why you want not play 2 or 3 games when you lose and you are tilted, i always do this to gain some confidence at the end, i dont like to lose at all. You are a really talented player ngl, im also making my personnal road to 1500 Elo and im 1468 rn after a few match and im shocked bcz at the beginning i didnt even considered it was possible for me (i started the game i was put at 800 Elo and i dropped to 500 Elo), specially when you make these mistake at 900 or 1000 ELO which reminds you why you are at these ELO and not 1500, when i look at your gameplay im litteraly seeing myself, you have the talent which make you usually outplayed your opponent, a lot of people still need more than 2000 match to pass 1000 Elo, but actually you need some secret weapon to raise more you're talent For me it was the Vienna gambit (gave me a winning streak of 15 in a row between 800 and 1000 ELO) and now it is the Catalan to have positional advantage in the game, bcz at 1400 -1500 they barely make blunder so you need these positional advantage, and with these two i have more than 73% winning percentage with black and white, i do not have chess coach but i just dont like to lose at all like you, thats why i try to learn these different weapon on youtube sometime. try to learn something different, something which what you will be able to outplay most of your opponent since the beginning, youll see, you will be unstoppable for a long time The game will be really hard for next ELO level if you still use the same globally known opening against everyone, try to outplzy them since the beginning. Keep up brother, i really really appreciate you and i feel that yoi can make it too 1500 and even more
Thank you brodie your comment means a lot ❤️
Aint no way someone acctually fell for the fried liver lmao
12:25 I saw the move Kd6 where it’s a fork, and if pawn takes then took jumps in with Rc1 Weird that it says good 🐧
i believe its because he can always take rook f1 to save the queen and then move queen back to c6 protecting Re8
@ still though, it is pretty darn good.
fuck yeah my professor is clappencheeks
You are goddamn right brodie
Watching rest of analysis - NO it was NOT a queen sac it was damage limitation because he had mate in 2. A sac is when you give up material to gain an advantage. By playing Kh1 you missed the opportunity to minimise the damage. The fact he threw his knight after your bishop sac got you back in the game. The key thing to analyse in this game was the ALMOST solved puzzle he played 22..Qxc2 and you said "there is a thing here for sure" go back and look at it again. See if you can spot the puzzle win after 22..Qxc2. You thought about each variation bar the one that wins.
When you say "sac your queen like that" it's NOT a sac it's trading the queen for 2 pieces and a pawn as his e6 pawn is hanging too with threat of Bxe6+ forking king and queen so he has to move Qh5 to avoid that. If you had exchanged your queen to remove his mate threat you'd have got 2 pieces and a pawn for the queen and if he failed to play Qh5 or otherwise protect the e6 pawn (which you could chase away) you'd have won his queen for the bishop. So you would have been 3 pieces up. You saw it as a sac when it was a trade albeit a bad trade Queen for 2 pieces and a pawn. You got back in the game because he threw his knight. The point is Kh1 is NOT hiding your king it allows Nf3 Qxh2mate. By moving your king you allow a mating attack. The idea was you needed to get compensation for the fact he had forced you to surrender your queen. So what the computer is saying you missed is that Ne4 threatens mate in 2. The ONLY defence to the mate in 2 threat is giving up your queen so lets give it up for 2 pieces rather than 1. So it is damage limitation NOT a queen sac.
Hi mein Junge
hellooo
The theory of 4.Nxe5 is covered in "How to throw away a knight for no benefit". It's an AWFUL move. 11.g3 is creating weaknesses around the king. Ne4 is better it defends the pawn Ok you grab his knight with 12.Nxd5 noticing you win a pawn and he gives up the knight for nothing. Your thought should be I'm a piece up now how can I get knight to a better square. Retreating to c3 then Ne4 is an amazing outpost for the knight and protects the f2 square. Your thoughts of Nb6 giving back the knight for NOTHING are odd. 7:43 Ok a bit more thought and you notice Nc3 is best. Good you are a piece up. Nf3 threat was brutal but you did have Ne4 which at least gets bishop and knight for your queen so total of 3 pieces for the queen and various forks that leave you still ahead albeit without a queen. Whereas Kh1 just loses the queen and you go from a piece up to a queen for two pieces down. 9:30 ouch you haven't realised that you need to trade your queen and throw away a bishop as well this is looking hopelessly lost when you were in a winning position. Ok I was premature 10:07 (37 seconds and 2 moves later) and he's not only let you off the hook but put you well ahead again. Interesting 17. Qc6+ and the only blocking move you consider is Qf3 rather than the excellent Ne4. which not only blocks the check but gets your knight to a superb outpost where it CANNOT be challenged by any of his pieces - the best he could now do is sacrifice a rook for the knight as he has no pawns or light squared bishop to attack you with. 11:41 Qh5 yuck giving away your pawns - this is becoming a bit of a theme, you get ahead then you throw pieces forward letting your opponent gobble up pawns and ruin your position. Qe2 was better developed the queen connected your rooks protected f2. prepared ground for pawn pushes against his king. 12:37 I LOVE that your instincts said "there is a thing here for sure" there is Nd6+ forking his King and rook if he takes you have Rfc1 pinning and winning his Queen (note Rac1 doesn't work becuase he has Rxf1+ whereas Rfc1 he can't play Rf1+ as you just take it with your king. Will you see it - exciting game. Ah shame that would have been a nice trick to win but time was against you.
You should look at the "Fried Liver" variation to the opening you played. It can put a lot of attacking pressure on your opponent.

That opening is very weird 😵💫 9:54 when the opponent took the bishop, you could have forked in Ke7, then king moves, and you take the queen with another check, pawn takes knight, you take bishop. You risked not gaining a queen so yeah I saw it with my penguin skills Pengueen 🐧
Yes I see that now PENGEENO!!!🐧

Great mid game bro😁
Thank you my boy
hmm bishop check then exchange leaves him in a commanding position as your central pawns are toast. Move 11. Looking at moving Bishop you mention Be3 can't go there he forks - he does but he has 1 defender to your 3 attackers so if he does fork you then he loses the pawn. Ok a bad Queen move to pin his Queen then a sacrifice that doesn't work and suddenly you are a piece up. He failed to calculate you had a defender. Nice fork (title gave it away it was coming) He's basically mentally resigned at this point but you are 5 and a half minutes down on the clock so "taking your time" is not a great strategy. Nice solid win after a shaky opening dropping a couple of pawns again. What is rating now? Must be getting back up there?
back to 1240 I believe. Back on the way up. Definitely am being a bit careless in openings but I've been pretty happy with the middle games!
Ok 2 mins in and I'm thinking finally a game you might win on time :) Hmm giving up the knight to open g file leaves doubled pawns and loses your d pawn. you are ahead on development but 2 pawns down. Then downhill until he plays the bizarre 19.g4 opening up his king to your attack. his pawn push does nothing and threatens to lose his knights with a strong attack on his king with him in time pressure. 23.Qb6+ was inspired and may turn tide of game with him on just 31 seconds. And a win on time - good to win but shame as it was interesting. On the Analysis I think Sal's thought process is flawed. The point of the analysis at your level is not to think you need to see what the computer sees but to get an idea of what your opponents plans are - see the more obvious threats you missed - see the plans you had rewarded with good or brilliant move flags so you know you were thinking in the right manner. So yes you will never see all the moves a computer would but you can start to see ideas (just like in puzzles) where the extra pressure on something makes a position collapse for instance. Seeing you review the game is when we see you realise the things we were screaming at you as you played, taking that away by not doing the analysis, would ruin part of the fun of watching, for example watching when you go OOOH I had a free rook in the corner! (twice now 🤣) Anyway a solid game against a super slow player - if any lessons here - watch for loose moves that drop pawns. He would have been in a lot more trouble throughout the game if you'd not dropped the two pawns. So easy when someone plays slow to speed up and screw up. That said learning to use your opponents time to think is a good skill ie: if he plays that I can play this. Then you DOUBLE CHECK when he plays and you've used his time against him.
Personally, I enjoy watching the review. Because it can sometimes become a puzzle, when you run through a scenario. Although, I agree that you shouldn't get too invested in what the computer recommends. Some of it's recommended moves are just way too inhuman. I'm curious what others will say though. As for growing the channel, I have no idea how this youtube algorithm works 😂

I'M SUBSCRIBING TO THE PODCAST
21th minute onward the highlight of this video....mental boy going loose......
Yeah well. I mean 4.f4??? ok a pretty drunken move. 12..h6 was awful too allows Bxe6 Bxe6 Nxe6 winning an exchange and a pawn all of which you saw but didn't care :) Nd5 was safer than h6 as after Bxd5 cxd5 and you are safe. Rest was downhill till he fumbled his queen. Although you had several I'll check here and threaten his pawn when the pawn was already free to take. 18:57 you've already missed three times you could have taken that passed pawn which could come back to bite you. Lets see how it pans out. Ouch yeah that three moves where you didn't take his passed pawn turned the game around. Ah well hopefully you are too drunk to care. Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow when it comes.
Happy Thanksgiving Shammy!!!!!!
the last round ah haaa haaa
There is no way ❤️
Your mistake was not taking the past pawn, you had like 3 chances to take it. But who can blame you when you were drunk af🤣
Watching this video back is just comical
You should've probably went for a queen trade as soon as he went on e6. Would've solved a lot of your problems
Bro you got to get into the chess mindset before you play man, like maybe some music and whatever helps you focus
Very valid
7:14 Qb4 looks bad. That Bishop needs defence as if you take c2 with rook he takes bishop with check and the threat on the knight is neutered. Yeah the bishop on e7 was a problem for a while - the dancing of the queen without purpose when you'd not improved the bishop was the core downfall I suspect. Re8 covering the bishop and threatening a bishop move kicking his queen out of there was better. He played badly though that knight move was bad unfortunately you moved out of way and lost the rook after which it was game over. Earlier the plan of simplifying by Qb5 backfired. Leaving the Queen on d7 and playing d5 to free up your bishop and break open his pawns had more merit. Especially if you then got the knight forward he would have had to castle and after casting you had both F and C files to attack along. Shame you managed time better and had a very solid position just allowing him to push the pawns led to a slip and suddenly it's all over. Its been a good month I hope you find the motivation to continue.
Your analysis is spot on as usual, reading back the moves and picturing them in my mind I can see them so clearly and I can see exactly where I went wrong. I appreciat the love always I’ve never gonna give up I love this channel don’t listen to anything I say after I lose a game of chess 😂

Think positive. Boom 🐧 I can’t think of anything else to comment
Your review was pretty good at the end, but you missed one thing. At 25:00 playing the two rooks to d7 and d8 loses to e5 and e6, not e5 and exd6. e6 threatens the front rook, which is trapped. Your only choice is to take back with the f pawn, but then the white queen recaptures with check and your king is exposed with all your other pieces tied up behind the d6 pawn. Also, don't just rely on the evaluation bar. Maybe a chess engine can survive playing c5 but no normal human can. You spent the rest of the meaningful part of the game defending the backward pawn on d6 and it eventually sunk you. Chess principles like backward pawns are as important for evaluation as the engine is.
very valid points
Nah you will definitely get there you just need a better understanding of structures and how to defend pieces while creating threats and stuff
Yeah just learning stuff
It's not the weirdest video, lol, you are doing just fine. I lost on a video the other day, it's all part of it! Keep at it! :)
