Nice review. Would have been nice if this upload were actually in 4k since you spoke so highly of the 4k video quality.
Nice video bro, I love my R8
Typical "I like my camera and I'm not going to do any objective tests nor compare it to cameras from other manufacturers type of video"
Gosh, you know, come to think of it, I think the same way about my car, my house and my wife for that matter. Sorry to ruin your day by picking a set of winners.
@LewisCarlyle How unprofessional! Calling a bragging video a "review" and then continue bragging about your other personal things
🙄
can you do a better one?
The K&F concept tripod looks similar to the National Geographic carbon fibre tripod. Both have a functional but cheap ball head that let's it down IMHO. The legs are fantastic. My solution was to replace the provided ball head with a Ulanzi U-70 that feels significantly better made and only cost around £25 (if you shop around). This makes the tripod feel more premium without a £300 price tag.
One of the best TH-cam Channel❤
Great video Lewis! Glad the R8 is working out well for you. The R5 / R5 II price and outrageous lens prices actually made me walk away from Canon altogether. All of my gear together (including a medium format camera) cost less than the R5, 15-35, 24-70, and 100-500. Unreal!
The Canon R8 is an absolute beast in such a compact package. Fun, affordable and pretty packed full of features. I think 24MP is just the right amount of resolution. Great review!
This is absolutely brilliant! Thank you! Your advice and a truly stunning model have made for a fun engaging lesson!
Many thanks friend. Hope this is helpful. Happy shooting!
*This is a great, outside-the-box photography tips lesson!* 📸 And it was great that Sarah helped out with the tips! 🤩 Awesome collaboration photoshoot you two!
I had such a great time doing this shoot with you! Definitely if you have need of a model again, let me know!
Looks great!!! Hope you're doin well!

Tip number 6. Make sure your photo-model is drop-dead gorgeous…
That's also helps a lot! 🙂
Denny I was going to say the same!
I subscribed, you do too, Colleague!
K&F Concept makes some great products and it's hard to find a better bang for the buck than their family of carbon fiber twist lock tripods. I have the exact same tripod in this video and never had any issues after taking countless pictures. My only recommendation is to replace to standard BH-35L head with the much better and upgraded FH-01 fluid head with adjustable handle. Once you have an adjustable length handle fluid head you will never go back to the aluminum ball in socket hand crank head.
NOT how to, just to see your pictures
Gosh darn it Frank, you're totally right. I am now Desperately awaiting YOUR definitive guide on Antelope Canyon. Every FStop, Every focal length, complete with GPS coordinates. Go!
Willkommen in der Unterwelt. Willkommen im atemberaubenden Lower Antelope Canyon in Page, Arizona! Love hearing your narration
I just subbed. Your channel deserves better recognition.
Love your video. This is a wonderful comparison
Another high-quality video!
Another high quality production.
great work Lewis! the bells are such an icon for a reason. It is great how accessible they are.
Great idea for a series of videos. I'm not confined to a wheelchair, but my hiking days are behind me. So, I'm always interested in how accessible a place is when planning my trips. In fact I'll be going back to Maroon Bells as part of a trip in September. I'll be a little early for peak color, but still, it's one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Amen to that! Hope you have an awesome trip!
Maroon Bells is a great idea for easily accessible photography. We're getting close to these colors showing up in photographs. Especially in Colorado.
great work Lewis! It's been years since I visited the garden.. definitely need to make another trip!
*That slick Dolly-Zoom shot at **3:08** didn't go unnoticed!* The time-lapse shots in this were awesome as well. Which camera are you shooting your b-roll with these days? R5? R8? I think this is my favorite video of yours yet!
Canon R8 all the way! Tough little video monster. That, and the iPhone, which is the camera you always have with you, wherever you go. . .
Another great video Lewis. No, I do not think it is unethical to remove people from photos. Love your work and would love to come out and shoot with you one day. Leaves changing soon...ahem.
Good stuff, Lewis! As always, your visuals are excellent!
Beautiful! Thank you.
Great video! Thanks for telling the tale and sharing the pics!
Love your productions!
Wow, this could be a bucket list location. I envy you guys in the USA. You can camp at such amazing locations. Here in German and Austrian Alps it is not allowed. The video had it all: A nice story, great locations and the right amount of humour. Thanks a lot for sharing this adventure.
*Holy Altitude, Batman!* I need to add this to my Colorado bucket list. However, every time I go for a grueling hike, I'm reminded that I don't really enjoy sweating to death. 5DSR for the win, again!
You didn’t explain “how” to take those pictures as your title is misleading. Yes, your picture are amazing. But I did fall asleep half way through your bragging. Thumbs down
Oh no! If only my bragging could have kept you awake long enough to develop a tiny fraction of humility! Perhaps then we could have avoided this whole thing where you embarrass yourself with petty trolling. Sorry to waste your time with beautiful images.
when/date exactly you have visited ?
Been looking into inspirations on describing Miami for my fictions. Vid helps me a lot! ❤
It must continue, and around we go again! Good stuff and love all the cinematic footage.
I am puzzled as to why you don't have 1,000,000 subscribers? Your videos are so amazing. The cinematics and story telling is top notch. Kudos to you Lewis.
Great stuff as always Lewis...never understand why you don't get more views. I'm very appreciative of content creators like you that inspire us!
Many thanks Michael! Yes I wish I could reach more people. I think TH-cam really loves lots of quantity, and unfortunately I just don't have the resources to make enough content to satisfy the algorithm. I'll certainly keep trying! Thanks for watching...
A gun??? Really??? Why do you have video of The Wave when this is about Antelope??? I was not stampeded in any way on my tours. Busy, yes, but not rushed and the guides were very friendly and patient.
A gun! Oh my gosh! Run for the hills! the photographer is a maniac! Also, not the Wave, but rather White Pocket, a geographic formation near Lake Powell, and by proxy Antelope Canyon. In short, sorry to disappoint you with patriotism and logic.
My sentiment exactly. Knuckleheads love their guns.
Cool visuals but I would have loved some tips other than you can't bring a tripod. What time of day? Rough Idea of settings and lenses etc.
Another high quality production...
man such a bummer about clearing those cherries. what a scene and image!
I think Photography is becoming like fishing. The average fisherman isn’t making money selling fish today, but it’s still a great hobby. Catching & cooking your own is better than a frozen bag of fish from the supermarket. Capturing a once in a life time moment or composition by hand will always trump the AI bots.
NICE!!! Loved the pics.
Nice! The raccoon was my favorite part, and the Jurassic argument….
I took my dad there 22 years ago before the world discovered the canyon. Got some amazing photos. Also got some ho hum photos. This video explains why some were rather flat- light settings were wrong for some shots. I had forgotten about that aspect and seeing this reminded me of the experience. Good times.
Love the helicopter shots!
Dude, the music selection is 🤌
Hashtag 1980s jams...
Great shots! Thanks for the thorough tutorial! 💕
AI Or composite? Im confused, its both fake
Yep. Both fake. We can't even out-fake the fakes.
