    Hey Jason, I have 2 Gendex 765DC for which the power indicator is flashing and the xray won’t fire? I can’t find any info in the service manual and my Patterson technicians say they don’t work on X-rays

    • @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel
      @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I hate those 765's. Not well made. It's probably the wiring harness in the arm or a board. Hard to really resolve that issue reliably. You might want to consider upgrading to a handheld unit or find some other x-rays to put in there. I love Gendex 770's

  • @dpetersontube
    @dpetersontube 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Is there an internal fuse or something inside the GX770? Because I accidentally tripped the breaker the first time I was trying to replace the switch. Now, with the switch in place and all wires connected properly, the unit does power on. The outlet it is plugged into is getting power (tested with a lamp) but the xray unit will not power on. Any advice?

    • @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel
      @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There is a whole row of fuses. They are on the left. Use the multimeter to check them out with power removed to the unit. This is either done by unplugging it or by flipping the circuit breaker be careful, as you know that electricity can bite you

    No need the bottle... just connect the drain straight to suction... lol why make it grosser then it needs to be?

    • @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel
      @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Only if you want more problems. All of the solid biofilm material could potentially clog your inground suction pipes. That would be way worse than the original problem. The purpose of using the bottle is to remove any chunky solids entirely from the system. I am not saying that what you are proposing would not work, but I think the risk of damaging your system is higher and I wouldn't no way ever. Suggest anyone run that risk. If you ruin or clog the pipes inside a cement slab, you have to cut the cement slab open to fix it or figure out a different way to run Suction. To anyone else reading this comment who thinks that it might be a good idea just to hook it up straight, please don't because you can seriously damage your dental office Suction system.

    • @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel
      @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel หลายเดือนก่อน

      2 issues. #1 is to relieve the hydraulic lock by loosening the hydraulic hose on the manifold to relieve pressure on the cylinder. This is dangerous and possibly very messy. #2 is to adjust the soft limits on the chair so that it won't go into the highest mechanical position and create a hydro lock. A qualified tech should know how to do this.

      @ the high speed handipiece show only 20psi no matter adjusted to maximum, which cannot drive the high speed handpiece. However if I put back high speed handpiece in handpiece hold slot ( like cut off the air tube ) and press foot control on for a minute , then remove handpiece out from slot ( like to release the air tube ) then the handpiece gauge can reach to 40psi. I have to do so each time if I want to use the high handpiece. It is annoying!

    • @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel
      @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@yanliu9765 is this rear delivery? If so, it might be possible that there is a hole inside of the hose. To check, fold the handpiece hose in half at the end by the handpiece. Step on the foot pedal. If the gauge spikes to maximum and there is no major air sound, this is normal. If the gauge only goes to 20 or 30 and there is a loud air noise in the delivery unit , you need a new handpiece hose.

After opening the cover to check hydraulics and oil I felt the motor and it was really hot. I let it cool for a while and then the chair kind of just worked again. I am wondering if the cost of the fittings to fix is maybe $10, why would you spend $50 in labor to fix it. You could cut it, then add couplers and more pipe to make it work again for less than $10. Unless you do not have the spare pipes with you.

    • @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel
      @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sometimes the existing coupler is against the concrete slab or there is a reason we want to re-use existing piping. There is sometimes no way to remove the coupler and still have any pipe left to glue another fitting to. If we're already there working and maybe don't have a particular fitting or room to work, this is a good solution.
