A forest land manager doing what is best for both the landowner and the land. Here you can find videos from what logging in the Maine woods is like.
All Droned Up - Jarvis Forest Management Ep. 12
In this episode, Bill and Nova use the drone in a variety of locations to get a birds-eye view of things. The detailed play-by-play is below.
To add a little insight into what goes on from day to day at work, Jarvis Forest Management has created a multi-episode mini-series. We laugh a lot, work a lot, and just have fun. We hope you enjoy this little insight into what we do each day.

00:00 - 00:11 Nova gets the drone stuck in a tree.
00:50 - 01:03 A woods road.
01:03 - 01:51 Nova uses the drone to follow Bill as he goes and meets with the foreman.
01:51 - 02:25 Nova follows the road to take a brief peek at where the skidder and delimber are operating.
02:25 - 03:25 Bill follows the skidder as it comes up to the road to deliver wood to the delimber.
03:26 - 04:26 Bill likes to call this segment "How Not to Bring a Twitch Back into the Woods." The skidder has a weak hold on the brush that he is bringing back into the woods and ends up hitting multiple trees in the process. We don't want this.
04:26 - 05:44 An overhead view of a delimber operating. The delimber scrapes and cuts off all the branches on the tree before cutting the log to size. They then pile the log with other logs to later be placed on trucks to be hauled to the mills.
05:45 - 06:24 The feller-buncher walks a cut tree over to where he has piled others. The skidder will then come and get these piles and drag them out to the delimber.
06:25 - 07:29 A crane loads wood onto a truck to be hauled away.
07:30 - 08:44 The truck turns around and heads back to the crane to get the second half of the trailer loaded.
08:45 - 09:11 Off the truck goes!
09:11 - 10:02 Scenic views of Spectacle Pond in Blanchard Township.
10:02 - 10:55 A cow moose swims/wades along the pond while eating.
10:56 - END Bill brings the drone in for a landing by the truck as Harley and Nova watch and the credits roll.

How is that funny????
Patient zero
25 Miles south of Boston, MA - When I was a kid back in the late 1960's - 1970's dad would buy a truck load of wood from Maine to heat the house & sauna bath with. It was my job to cut, split & stack it which I really liked doing. One trucks worth would last 2 sometimes 3 years.
Super cool! I’ve never heard some of the vocalizing you recorded. I’ve seen hen turkeys and woodcock on nests. They both tend to flee. I’m a forester in eastern Virginia just outside of ruffed grouse range but frequently hunt them in the western part of my state.
Pretty cool. Moose left slightest oil slick on the pond. Plus the turbulence in his wake. Neeto. Subscribed. Thanks
I’m sad
So cool!!! Miss you guys
Thank you, miss you too!
Omg My dog had same problem And I was feeling so helpless 😭 finally I called the specialist who killed him with some injection to give him relief.
Very sad. Not because death isn't in everyone's future, but because things have been so badly damaged unnecessarily already that it just hurts way more now to see it. There's really not much of our natural world left.
Brainworms are natural....
@@Just-a-Fish.Moonlighter Yeah that's true. What I said is also true :)
That's sad I was young when this happened
This incredibly sad.
So sad to see a magnificent creature's brain severely damaged by a horrible parasite that literally turned it into a living zombie
The creature woulda been shot and eaten anyway
It’s not a parasite, the body itself is killing it

Fwi this is cwd chronic wasting disease it creates holes in deer elk or moose as you see if you do se one of these animals do something like running in circles that’s what’s happening the best thing to do in the situation is stay away get a rifle a shoot it it it’s sad but that’s what’s best for the animal and you
Stupid
This is nothing new
That's a 2 truck barge in India
Someone shoot that poor thing and take it out of its misery. Brain worms and things like CWD are slow and painful deaths, that moose is being tortured from the inside.
I've herd the 4.5 only works with the Av-3000 mask ,does it really work with the av-2000 mask?

Where did the video take place
Hi! Nova from the video here, this all takes place up in North Western Maine in the Jackman Region
Why the f did you laugh?
The moose is acting oddly. He probably thought it got drunk on fermented fruit, wouldn't be the first time. He had no way to know it had brain worm, if you didn't have the video title you couldn't either
Skillz.
Female grouse will limp on 1 leg acting hurt to draw you away from the nest or chicks. She will just stay out of reach making u think u r going to catch her.Once you are far away enough from the nest and no longer poss a threat, she will fly away!!!
If that thing gets near me and I got a gun, than I would’ve shot it
Somthing tells me those packs get annoying after a while if they keep going off because the wearer is idol.
Will someone do the right thing and just the moose

@Blood Beryl FaZe doesn't own the word either.... faze just so happens to be a normal word. Lol
The brain worm moose seem to taste the best. Always trust in God's plans. He's the writer of the blueprints.

That's terrible (Didn't stop me from chuckling and liking the comment though)
I got mad at the guy for laughing. But then I read a comment that pointed out he could've not known what was wrong with it at the time. Which is true. Hopefully.
Nazeem Uh..no. But alright man. By the way, shouldn’t you be doing homework?
@Nazeem ah yes, laughing at an animal that will most likely be in constant suffering and unimaginable pain is ok, and if your mad about it your a “pussay”! Makes perfect sense!
You can laugh at every animal sufferings all you want, it's not like it's gonna hurt them. Pity them if you want and no one will stop you. Help them if you can, that is if you can even reach the Animal.
He obviously didn't know what was wrong with it, just like it's obvious you don't know you only support Ukraine because the propaganda told you to.
He said something is definitely wrong with him so that points out he didn't know what was going on
That why they call it lumpy

THE WAIST BELTS GOES FIRST! You don't want to put pressure on your back do you? Remember Kids Waist first then shoulder straps, not too tight because you need to move freely.. Safe Fire battles my friends.
Exactly what we learned in academy. Glad someone is preaching the right steps 🤝
That cow moose infected with brain worm needs to be humanely put down as a matter of urgency. She is obliviously wandering around right next to a busy highway and could quite easily be the main cause a very serious road traffic accident.
Very nice
Guy probably didn't know what it was at the time. That's why he was laughing
That poor moose, and you just sit and laugh?
He might not have known what it was at the time, and just thought the moose was being stupid
Thank you this is awful
Bill, do you know how I could download this video, we need it at LVFD, I look on Scott website but I don't think it is any longer available there
Bruce Lund yes, just go to TH-cam video downloader
How could you get so close to it? O_O Do they ever charge people?
I was in my pickup. And yes, at times they will charge.
+Forester Bill Jarvis I see. This was still pretty brave either way. Thanks for the footage.
She had brain worm, which means her brain was slowly eating away
Sad
