Using My Dry Sauna to Break in my Sure Grip Boardwalk Skates
มุมมอง 2403 ปีที่แล้ว
These new skates I bought are VERY stiff and hurt my feet . Watch as I use my sauna, as opposed to an oven or hair dryer that some people use. Did it work? Watch to find out!

What Rocks Teach Us About Our True Value
Thanks for this review! So many more choices than when I was skating 40 years ago. ;-)
They look kinda delicious
Extremely nice
Those agates are some only dream of
I’m thinking about buying this same one but with aluminum Avanti to keep the price lower. I hope it will not hurt my feet. I remember I have a Bont speed skate back in the days and those hurt my feet and I could not skate long in them.
My feet are slightly wide, and these are a medium width. If you have wide feet, I would suggest getting the wide version. You should be fine with the aluminum Avanti plate, they will just be a bit heavier. I am in love with mine, and these are by far my favorite skates. If you decide to get them, let me know how you like them. :) Happy and safe skating!
@@realreikirealliferealspiri9637 thanks. I have to measure my feet to make sure what kind of feet I have 😃
I ordered the 220 skates from my local rink pro shop for $600 as well but with Fuse Reactor nylon plates. I know it’s a bit cheaper online but I just want to support the local shop. My size was 8 1/2 according to Riedell measurement but I was like that way too small so I ordered size 9, which is more of my street shoe size. I’m glad I did that. It fits well and not too tight. I also tried the Riedell 110 skate they have in stock, but man it is very tight and it hurt my toes and they were not handmade leather boots but only for half the price. I’m glad I ordered the 220 boots.
The purple one looks to be filled with grape jelly! 😅
I just bought these exact skates and they are great. I love that the boot is not stiff. I also plan to replace the laces and get indoor wheels too. I am also an “old lady 😂” and my husband has gotten lots of chuckles watching me remember how to skate ❤
The wheels are 80a
Very nice finds 🤘
Always a good time hounding in the beehive state. 🍯 🪨 🐻
Do you still like your BTFLs? I'm considering them.
Yeah!! Get some
How far out of enterprise?
Tell me, what is your foot length and did size 39 suit you?
Thanks for the great review, Patricia! Yes, the skate tool addition was a running change we made as, of course, you need the tool. Skate, Dance, Enjoy!
Do you think these would work for a beginner skater? Is there enough support? Thanks :)
I appreciate your review - it helped me decide - and I ordered this pair from their website!! OMG I can't waaaaaaiiiit! xo
Nice meeting you on FB! Hope you enjoy your skates as much as we have!
Nice meeting you, too! These are fun skates, aren’t they?
@@pmorris1274 Absolutely! They are completely comfortable from the start. I did start to have heel slippage after a bit but you can remedy that by lacing them using a runners lacing technique. I do a lot of toe skating drills.
That is so pretty, awesome job :)
Nice finds!
