Hello, I'll watch the video carefully. How much does 10 huxi cost?
I'm trying to get one of these trucks. soo awsome!
Love the scenery it looks absolutely stellar! Cheers from Texas 🤠
@@ShutUpBubi The best state in the USA! Thank you.
What a lot of weight and wheels to turn for a Flathead 6 Cylinder engine.
@AntiZOGZone Yes a bit underpowered similar to every ww2 vehicle but has amazing traction in off road conditions. They are a rare vehicle compared with other Dodge Weapons Carriers or Jeeps with only about 20,000 bieng made, and more expensive. Mine has a top speed of 50mph/80kmh. Both my Studebaker 6x6 and Willys Jeep mb are slower by about 10mph. They are a bit underpowered as well. Both also have flat heads. Unlike the other Dodge Weapon Carriers the 6x6 has both high and low range, useful in heavy sand. The 6x6 version was born because the US went from a 8 man squad to a 12 man squad. Once youv driven one you'll smile for a week.
What is the difference from a No 4 Mk1?
Very nice I wish I had one of those to drive around in East Texas. It would definitely turn some heads. Thanks for the video
They are a great bit of history and they look the part. We are taking good care of her as she is a special vehicle. Thanks for watching and hope your having a good day in Texas!
Very nice Enfield rifle. You don’t see very many of those in Texas in the mummy rap. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching.
Perfectly zeroed right out of the 68 year old mummy wrapping . Very impressive.
Nice, where did you get your frame horns? I need one for my 48 2A.
Hiya scratch got them from Marathon Spares in Tamworth. Hope you find some.
This rifles stock has been so highly polished by the previous owner it is very difficult to grip. Very slippery.
Awesome thank you for your comment 😀 Russian's loved the Studebaker it would have been harder to win without them and Russia didn't have a decent equivalent at the time. They could run on almost any octane fuel and was loaded with 5 ton regularly it bieng a deauce and a half rated off road but the 4x4 versions rated heavier rated for good roads. The Russian's didn't worry about weight capacity they just loaded the back to the cab roof. Russian's loved them that much Stalin sent the US president a thank you letter personally thanking him for sending such a great truck. The Studebaker.
Do you need any bits for the ford blitz? Happen to know where there is one ( not complete) in a pine forest next to my house
Yes i do need the odd thing.
well to be fair that wasnt a tractor more of a lawn mower.
True lol. Garden 🚜
We had that model in the cadets in the 70's, they were awesome guns, we used to do march and shoots in the Brecon beacons.
Must bring back good memories! Thanks for watching.
@@Outbackvintagevehicles no worries 👍 enjoyed it.
and after take some dollybird to the local pictures and see a Carry-On film?
@@wallybazoom5697 You were there....
Happy memories. I remember using a Lee Enfield MK 4 when I was in the Army Cadet Force about 1966. I got my Marksman first class badge. I still remember that kick!🙂
Wow great memories! I was told i was marksman class with the SLR that was a great rifle for the Australian army. Went the distance and penetrated.
I did get to fire the SLR but our little ACF detachment didn't have them while I was still there. Funny doing SLR rifle drill with a Lee Enfield, not easy lol.
Well done! That beautiful Enfield Rifle deserves the best care!
Thank you.
Looking good! A couple tips, don't pry the forend off from the front as this can crack the draws, and my brass buttplate was difficult to remove due to the tarnishing while in the wrap so a proper fitting screwdriver was a must to remove, it also cleaned up quite well with vinegar and baking soda to brush it back to like new appearance. Looking forward to seeing more of this rifle!
Thanks for the information mate always open to tips appreciate it. the video is actually about 6 months old so she's looking beautiful now. Im over seas at the moment but when i get back we are planing to make a video of a closer look and some plinking nothing to serious. i dont really remember to look at notifications much we dont really take youtube very serious its just a bit of fun and hopfully a few people enjoy the videos and we like chatting with people like yourself. thanks for the comment mate.
Im looking forward to seeing more of this rifle too. As an example of what i should and should not do to my currently unwrapped but uncleaned and unfired case queen. One thing I would like to avoid is getting oil on the stock, or handling it with dirty hands. I imagine it will get dirty very quickly. Hickock 45 has one that he’s owned for over 25 years and now it looks walnut it’s so dark.
I have 2 of those exact rifles. Never fired, still packed from the factory. Looks like they are winners!
Beautiful guns hey mate. We unwrapped this rifle this year it's like it was made yesterday from the factory and extremely accurate only have myself to blame for missing the first shot haha sorry for the poor quality of the video.
There is a double clutch. 1:10 The Soviet Gaz-52 truck has the same engine sound at high revs, the Gaz-52 engine is a copy of the Dodge engine
Nice! Did not know that. It would be a treat to drive a Gaz 52!
0:34 Goes in low gear
0:35 The Soviet Zis-151 also hums so much at high revs because it is copied from the Studebaker us6
Fantastic! Yes one can see the similarities immediately. The Zis 151 is a cool machine.
@@Outbackvintagevehicles Zis-151 is heavier and has a weak engine with a capacity of 92 horsepower. Studebaker us6 is lighter and has a stronger engine
@user-by7rr9yl2c Ah Ah okay yes Stude us6 was designed to go across country, fully loaded, no roads bieng lighter helped. Plus if the ground was swampy you can fit dual tyres in front but was heavy to steer like that.
@@Outbackvintagevehicles The Russians failed to copy the best qualities of the Studebaker us6. Is it true that the Studebaker us6 could carry 6 tons of cargo?
@@Outbackvintagevehicles I know such information that Studebaker us6 served in the British Army in the 60s
The Studebaker us6 is still usable, but there are no spare parts and the company is long gone
Parts are still available in Australia. There are more spare parts here than anywhere else in the world. But yes it can be difficult.
@@Outbackvintagevehicles Cool heavy and medium capacity truck 40s
Question to you...WHY do all the WC 6x6 have only 2 wheels at both of the rear axels, whereas GMC CCKW has 4 wheels at both of them??
To carry the extra weight. More tyre's = more carrying capacity.

Thanks for watching!
Hey mate. I also live in Alice and just bought a studebaker. Would love to chat!
Hey mate that sounds good actually, happy to catch up!
@@Outbackvintagevehicles excellent. I'm on the east coast at the moment as is the truck. Hopefully getting it across to Alice in the next couple months. She's complete but needs a little work.

Bloody good to see gov....how are you goin with the ab120?
Cheers cobba we got her running but put it to the back burner because we thought the 43 Willys mb Jeep and Weapons Carrier would be more interesting.
Keeping that beast or are you a reseller? May need extra Jerry cans!
Hey mate we just collect and restore old vehicles this is actually the first running vehicle we've gotten but was to good to pass up!
What a beauty !
Thanks mate she goes very well 😁
The WW2 truck is cool.
Nice old Dodge 👍
Thanks.
Old inters are fairly reliable and easy to work on 😄
Certainly are it started up staight away and after sitting for 40 years haha
You’ve done well. That tub should come up very well indeed with time and patience. I have a GPW under restoration and an MB project set aside, neither of my body tubs are nearly as intact as yours 👍
Great job 👍
Definately think that chassis will tidy up well. New front cross members are available by the way
Looks like you are right into the Military Vehicles. Good to see, enjoy !
Made right here in South Bend, Indiana. The Ruskies also used them as carriages for the "katushya" rockets against the Nazis. One of the best heavy trucks of any era.
Interesting to hear. This one has been in our family since the early '70s. It worked hard on our cattle station in central Australia for many years. In 1974 in the big floods it was flooded up to and through the cab floor for over a week before it could be dragged out. My father replaced all the oils and it started straight up and went back to work. You couldn't do that with anything modern now.

Nice old man He is! Studebaker US6 means more than just a truck for us russians. It means like help came just in right time, It's looks like victory along with soviet tank T-34. "He" represents that wonderful time when America and the Anglo-Saxon world were our allies!
