Just bought 3 bottles, which at me being 64, should last me the rest of my life. Back in 1981, my second girlfriend, Judy, said she loved to smell 1-12 on a man, and I like an idiot, didn't get it. Maybe out of nostalgia, I finally got some, and in fact am wearing some as I type this. On 6+ hours and it still smells great. I can see why (even as a straight man,)why Judy loved it.. I also have 3 bottles of Z-14. Between these two Halstons, along with some other good scents, I'm set.

I appreciate this review. What an amazing fragrance. I think Tierre De Hermes and Angel for men are some other riskier designer fragrances. What fragrance has impressed you recently?

Black Classic Match is good, has a bit more of alcohol smell but close to authentic Polo Black. Polo Black has better top notes. It's like comparing Coca-Cola to RC Cola.

Halston 112 is a classic, reminds me of high school. My favorites are Kouros, Lagerfeld, Giorgio Beverly Hills, and Lapidus.

Cuba gold, Brazil ,signature and gray are all bangers. I wear them happily.

Great review :) I also assumed I wouldn't like this because of the aldehydes. This EDP smells beautiful in the air.

Royal Copenhagen was my #1 back in 1984/1985 cologne. I hear they changed the formula from back then. I just LOVED it over my other favorites: Lagerfeld, Aramis, Drakar and Canoe

Most of the anti-fragrance people are actually navel-gazing narcissists using that as an excuse to stir up trouble. I wouldn't bend to their wishes if I was you.

I used to used to wear Obsession when it first came out. So I’m trying to pick up off eBay and I see it’s being made and cheap. But I hear the formula has changed and want to find the original formula. So I want to know when the formula had changed and what to look for when trying to find the old formula. I did notice some eBay sellers that claim it’s vintage, by stating “Calvin Klein Cosmetics” and made in the USA. Oh and the original had a light brown cap and the newer having a black or dark brown cap.

I use speed stick regular in the cooler months and out of curiosity I called Colgate Palmolive's official customer support number to find out what the note breakdown was of it, and she rattled off a bunch of them right off the bat. Unfortunately, I lost the list of what the notes were but two of them were lavender and sandalwood. But she rattled off about three or four others that make up speed stick regular. I thought that was interesting. I always thought I got a hint a wintergreen out of it, but I guess I was mistaken because she didn't mention that. That's about it. Have a good day.

That's my current cologne from 1972 when I was 7 years old! I now alternate between that and Royal Copenhagen 1970 (smells like a 1970s barber shop). I use them to remind me of my Grandpa, dad and uncle (all have passed away), so I love it. Jaipur Homme by Boucheron I also love. I also associate Pierre C with 1970s classic Playboy and Esquire magazines and their ads - the 70s magazines have a different look. Lmao. I love the early 70s and the later disco years.

Sometimes it takes getting used to a fragrance to like it. It is that way with cheap and expensive fragrances. One of my favorite fragrances is CK Obsession. Obsession is so complex and unique that it took me a few times to get it. Lots of people hate Obsesseion, and now I wondder how anybody could dislike it. A cheap one that I hated was Aqua Velva Musk. Somebody got me the big bottle of it, and I was nnot gonna waste it. I used it and thhought it was just a bland musk. Thought there was nothing unique abut it. After wearing it a few times I stared really noticing how creative the citrus and musk were together, and that it was more of a citrus scent than musk. Now I like it a lot. I even decanted some in a sspray bottle to use strictly as a cologne. That is a good thing to do with colognes that are also after shaves, put them in a spray bottle.

I’m buying it thanks for the review I have the roller ball choco musk but was curious of this perfume version if it’s good or not. It’s $8 in the US.

Can't tell if it's problem with my nose or the batch of 3G01 made in 2023 but in my bottle I can't smell the citrusy bergamot at all, and it's supposed to last through entire fragrance. I tested a sample before at store and it had the citrusy smell all the way to the end. I just filed a complaint and I'm waiting if I get replacement bottle. Do you have this issue that you can't detect the citrus/bergamot?

It's some weird talk about deodorant but ok let's talk: I like speed stick classic fresh but i prefer Old Spice Fresh, V.I.P. and Wolfthorn!...then Tom's Of Maine " Northwoods " and that's all!.. Axe, Degree, Nivea, Arm N Hammer Ultra Max and others are good no doubt but in my PH doesn't work....

I was born in 1962. I am 62 not 16.

Polo came out in 1978 there's no reason to support them that didn't invent anything aromatic fougers have been around long before that. That's like saying you have absolutely zero generic medication or groceries. Somehow i doubt you don't have generics of things all over the house. I bought belcam red, blue, green and black they are all $7 bangers. No reason to overpay on scented water

Have you tried the new cologne called Nitro Red? I’m hearing really good reviews about it. I’m thinking about buying a bottle.
