I find that we need to hold to opposite things that are two in the tension without disregarding either one while we wait on the Lord to show us the fullness of the truth. The Saviour is the fullness. When there seems to be contradictions it is the Saviour that makes both possible if they really are both true, He makes mercy and justice possible simultaneously. God will either make it clear that one is wrong or show how they both work through Him.

The gospel is not complicated. You don’t have to be so conflicted. If you say you love Jesus you have to love truth. He is the way, the truth, the life. Find rest in Jesus, not this man’s cleverish words. We are to love God with all our hearts and all our minds, not some or in some balance. It can be done easily if you are free from all this LDS conflict. God bless us!

I like Patrick very much, I think he takes an honest approach to the LDS church. Substitute the words, he talks to God instead of the word prophet. Think how you would feel if God actually talked to you. I have no doubt that I would follow his word to the letter and not only that I wouldn’t be changing doctrines. God is the same yesterday today and tomorrow, right? Not with today’s prophets . Today’s profits spend $5 billion on a shopping mall and get fined $5 million for hiding money. There’s no such thing as someone that talks to God.

WOW... I really loved Jared Halverson's explanations for everything in his talk. It really opened my eyes to how we can be so one sided on so many levels about so many things, if not all things. Truly a great speaker and teacher. He has certainly opened my eyes and given me much to think about, and has given me the tools to make the necessary changes. I’m a Mormon. We should believe the Scriptures, not man. And the Scriptures testify the Mormon Church is the only true Church of Jesus Christ on earth. But if something is taught that can't be verified by Scripture, think twice about believing it. I understand why so many people are leaving the church. Many false doctrines exist causing countless TH-cam videos mocking Mormonism. False doctrines like grandpa gods, (God the Father has a father), Mormons becoming gods of their own planets, Adam helped create the earth, Christ and Satan are brothers, God the Father has rarely spoken in Scripture, the African Americans were bad in the pre-existence; all of which no Scripture verifies. And each Sunday the Sacrament is tainted because only Elders and Priests can administer but the Deacons prepare/administer and the Teachers pass/administer the Sacrament. (D & C 20:57) And the Lord says, He’s bound when we do what He says but if not there is no promise. (D & C 82:10) …that the scriptures might be fulfilled; for ye shall do according to that which is written. (D & C 24:14) And we wonder why there’s depression, mental illness and other unspeakable events among us? And many are leaving the church because if you don't fit the mold the church leaders sculpture you're not a part of the click. Mormons believe the church leaders over Scripture. The zealous believers have the church leaders in mind with everything thing they think say and feel testifying to impress others how much they believe the current church leaders are God-inspired. But the Scriptures reveal the church leaders are the problem with the entire planet. For example, In 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 we are informed of a person revealed as the son of perdition. Therefore, if the Mormon Church is the only true church, and I believe it is and will back that belief using the Scriptures, then the only person 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 could be talking about is the current Mormon prophet. For what other church is the one and only true church with temples? And Joseph Smith taught a son of perdition can only be a church member holding all the rites of God's priesthood and using the priesthood against God as did Judas. Therefore, who else other than the current Mormon prophet could the apostle Paul be speaking of? It's as plain as the nose on a face. And even God in the Doctrine and Covenants tells us about the current church leaders and how displeased He is saying the end of this world will begin among them. (D&C 112:23-26) Joseph Smith taught the false doctrine of grandpa gods (God the Father has a father) not over the pulpit as a prophet but as a sermon at a funeral, which should not be taken as Scripture fulfilling God’s sayings to Paul, And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: (2 Thessalonians 2:11) That they might be damned who believed not the truth….(2Thessalonians 2:12) And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. Brother Halverson, I cannot thank you enough for helping to immerse us in all of our scriptures, especially the New Testament! I love your podcasts, your talks and presentations as you help us to draw closer to our beautiful Savior! I appreciate all the countless hours you no doubt spend in your preparations. I don’t know how you remember all those lessons you teach but I know they’re from the heart, directed by the spirit. 32 minute… We are again rooting their horn!! We always toot their horn.. It’s worship… We need to understand that they are men like all men.. watch the Chosen.. This show gives us the best interpretation of real men called by God… What we need to honor is God using imperfect humans to do His work! We need to stop talking about how wonderful these men these humans are. It’s a cultural shift! Stop defending their great intentions.. I’m sure they fight pride like the best of us!!! They want to be liked or honored or respected or heeded like many men do. We need to be in Awe that God is a God who lets mortal men in on His game! He’s the one to honor and follow!

Fill the house??? My question is…. What truth can we say about practices and teachings that were and did not reflect Divine opinion, belief, or doctrine? Can we fill the house with the truth that prophets are affected by culture and have bias? They sometime have taught from bias things that were false? Can we stop defending ideas that were totally wrong and acknowledge that prophets are only prophets when they speak Gods will to us? And sometimes these men speak non divine ideas to us??? Can we fill the house like this????

Are we to acknowledge that the prophet is wrong on something and be accountable to follow him anyway? Do we have to? Can we choose to not follow an urging from a letter in our culture or must we??????

What mistakes was Mormon or Moroni speaking of? Mistakes in writing? Or doctrinal or moral mistakes? Harming people? What are these mistakes he is talking about?

Sooo will the Church confess the sin of saying the new MRNA injection is safe and effective when it clearly isn’t? Will they confess urging an entire body of believers to get a medical injection against their previous decisions not to? Thry used ecclesiastical respect and authority to persuade others to harm themselves. Will they confess it?

You are trying to sell the gray area for a church that is distinctly black and white. I respect that you are trying to create a new Mormonism, and I hope that teachings like this can help moderate my wife's black and white thinking, but it isn't Mormonism, it's Halversonism.

Sadly that’s where some of our members are today, having lost the excitement for the basics of the gospel now find themselves needing to be talked of the spiritual ledge. Thx a loving Father in Heaven for blessing use with people like this Brother to reason with those on the ledge. The gospel is simply beautiful. Simplicity in life insures a happy life!!! I had a gentleman ask me what’s different about your church then all other churches. I said knowing God loves ALL of His children and is a fair and just Father, has provided a means of salvation for ALL of His children through the sacred work of PROXY. I reminded him that proxy means to stand in for another, and that Christ performed the greatest act of proxy through His sacred and loving Atoning sacrifice. So a loving Father has made provisions to save ALL of His children if they so choose. The scripture says Except a man be born of the water and of the spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of Heaven. So for ALL who didn’t get the chance to be baptized while on the earth, God was thinking of you when He arranged for proxy work to be done on your behalf in Temples that now are filling the earth. Also your freedom to choose is never taken from you. This work is of God and the return of His precious Son I look forward to soon.
