It's a shame when you drop down you seemed to be pulled back to the end of the screen mate it looked a decent game apart from that which is a shame 🙂👍

I only completed this game once as a kid, it was mad hard. It's weird because although that's not one of my favourite games for some reason it brings back massive memories. I remember writing a story in school set in the 'Klondikes' because I'd seen the level on this called Klondikes. I must have written some shite because the teacher asked me if i knew what the Klondikes were I said no, so she asked why I'd written a whole story based on it. Proper caught out!

Monty Mole retros back - AS SUPER MONTY 😹🤘🕹️! I played this game for the first time on my Amiga 500 as a kid back in the early 1990's. The game was so very difficult, there was only a energy bar. So no lives - AND NO CONTINUES 😹!! So i finished the whole game with the cheat mode 😹🤘🕹️. I also bought this game for my Commodore 64 as one of the budget priced GBH game tapes back in the early 2010's. The game was still difficult 😹, but the soundtrack 🎵🎶 is still pawsome 🐾 😺👍🕹️. And you, Richard, did your best in this gameplay video 😺👍🕹️. A big retrospective like 👍🕹️ from Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮.

Oh mate the c64 version of this game is so bad it's hilarious 😂 The Speccy version is an all time classic, first game I ever played on the Spectrum and I started saving for one immediately after, I was in awe. Haha that death fart sound on here😆 somebody at Durell hated c64😂😂😂

Oh yikes, you really should try the Speccy version - it's night and day. This version is an abomination. EDIT: now I've got to the bit where you say you don't know what the issue with the C64 version is, seriously this isn't the same game at *all* as the Speccy one. It's not just a bit worse, it's a whole other thing. EDIT 2: and while you have the Speccy out and are playing Durell games, try Turbo Esprit.

The C64 version is terrible. The ZX Spectrum version is pretty good.

I like this more than Bubble Bobble. I have it on the C64 Addicted To Fun compilation. Played it a lot on Sega Saturn but never finished it.

This is an awesome game! I haven’t seen the C64 port from memory but I’ve played the Master System one and the new port they did for the Mega Drive Mini 2!

Absolute classic this. Great for sibling co-op leading to inevitable tantrums and meltdowns when the other player messed up 🤣 Todd mentioned the mysterious second tape in the box. No idea what it is other than seemingly a cheeky second homemade copy of the game, perhaps we made to lend to a friend. Nice vid, definitely up near the top of the C64 games for me 🙂

Wouldn't of expected this to be Bubble Bobble 2, from bubbles to rainbows. Can definitely still see the similar fun formula in the mix though. Wonder what the vehicle themed boss on the 2nd island would of been? Well played and nice video Richard!🕹🌈 🏝🍀

This game was so much fun. I used to play it on the Atari ST and now its a favourite on my Pi emulator. As a sequel to Bubble Bobble they did exactly what they needed to, everything was more vibrant, cute and totally mad like an acid trip! Good choice.
