Playing with the Costco Maisto F1 RedBull 1:10 RC Car at our neighborhood RC race track!
Saw this toy RC F1 car at the local Costco here in SoCal for $49.99. Awesome details on the car, not bad for the price but we knew it won't be as fast as the hobby / competition RCs. The RC is pretty nice, comes with a lithium battery and USB charger. Quite responsive and fun to drive, top speed is on the slow side which might not be a bad thing, it makes it more playable like in the backyard or driveway, etc. and makes it less prone to damage from going out of control. I attached a GoPro to the RC to get some fun FPVs. We enjoyed playing it a lot that we went to Costco again this morning to get the Ferrari version lol.

Following Bart, 0908 2024. Too hot earlier in the day with the recent heatwaves, so night ride was the best option.

2024 0811 past 7pm ride. Using a Lezyne 1300XXL LED head light. Riding a 2023 Specialized Turbo Levo Carbon converted to 27.5, with Shigura brakes, fox 38 and x2 suspension, Shimano drivetrain upgrades.

I made it a point to ride today, before the atmospheric river storms bring in the rain in the coming days. The dirt was good, the air was cool, and the sky was something else. Pretty clouds and sunset colors made it a fun ride. Checked out Panda Express today and the trails builders are doing some magic! Fun trail with cool features!

GoPro facing backwards shows an interesting angle to see the trail features with less of the GoPro-effect. Trails conditions were awesome, just needed to wait for a few days after rain to get some hero dirt. Nice cloudy day to boot. Pedal MTBs to burn off the Christmas meals :P I'm riding a Pivot Mach 5.5 and Mike's on a Santa Cruz Nomad.

Full trail video of Insidious. The trail is still semi-wet from recent rains. Not muddy and no puddles on the trail, but tires had significantly less grip on the rocks. Chill pace on this ride to avoid any hard braking. Greer usually drains after 2-3 days of rain, but we got more rain than usual this time around so there was still a lot of moisture on the ground. Weekend Greer Ranch ride. Some fun bike train runs. Greer trails remind of Disneyland, where you see bikers descending on the climb up and the trails meander near each other. Rode some of my less frequented trails (Revolution, Rabbit Hole) that aren't my favorite on my pedal MTB because of the climbs involved, but they are quite fun on an EMTB since the climbs become a non-issue. GoPro mounted vertically in portrait mode, probably not the best for YT but just had to try it. This was on a chest mount, also probably not the best for portrait mode (I imagine helmet mounted is better for that). Extended solo ride hitting many of the fun loops in Greer Ranch. Most of these start from the top in the flag pole area. Under Drive branches out to Blue Bird, Invasion, Electric Catfish, and Panda Express (I forgot to ride this in the video).
