So I’ve been using Nitros for awhile. Really love the price on them, and I can keep up with my pals playing titleist. I recently shot a 44 w the Crosstour at our local 9 hole course. Might be time to upgrade though after watching these videos. Subscribed!

Volvik is crap. But tell us dude have you ever swung a golf club in anger. What does cutting ball got to do with their quality except proving that your a twat.

These were all just cheap rock hard balls for beginners and hihandicappers who lose 6 or more balls a round. Another one I remember was the "Dunlop DDH".

The Magna was meant for begginers, as its size made it easier to hit and get up in the air. However it won't go as far as a normal sized ball. Callaway now make a modern version called the "Supersoft Max".

via bounce test, Srixon is the live'est ball, but @ $3/ball just too Xpensive. Wilson ultra is just as hot, feels great off the club, and costs just $1/ball.

Normally the testing on water balls shows a decrease in distance. The longer in the water the less distance. I would like to golf ball testing Seattle or London for the effect of rain.

Blunt force trauma on that ball. I have used and played dozens of lake balls ( balls I fished out my self) and found no difference. Most course lakes are on a 2-3 feet deep so 1M deep. That is only a 1.1 Bar pressure so nothing.

I find lots of balls mainly in heavy rough but ocassionally i find balls in the many ponds scattered around the courses i play..i dont use any balls that dont have a urethane cover. I have tried using urethane balls that i find in the water and i do notice a drop off in distance and spin. They also seem a bit spongy. I havent cut a ball in half but expect they would be the same colour. I doubt very much with the cheaper covered balls there would be any difference to be honest

Nice music : ) I played the left dash balls and very hard 103 Compression. I think they were designed for very hot playing conditions. Then it may be softer. You would crack most modern Carbon drivers faces in the UK winter conditions.

Always mark your sharpie line across the “Refurbished” text. Then it’s Genuine 😉

Its an older model ProV1x and the refurbished balls have extra paint that falls off too easy, and the logo is always a lot thicker

For the average 90 shooter golfer golf ball choice matters zilch. Players who rarely hit fairways and greens can probably play with a range ball and it’s not going to make any difference. If you’re a player that can actually hit the sweet spot on a consistent basis and compress the ball on the face, then of course, golf ball selection is a big deal. I see average players at my club spending a fortune on golf balls and hacking them all over the course. Golf ball choice for these guys will make no difference.

I'm an amateur that's still learning, so getting 200 very slightly used Srixon softfeel matte oranges for 50 cents a ball works best for me right now. Won't have to worry about re-upping anytime soon, that's for sure. :)

Played around with all 3 golf balls. Performance on the Volvik was the best.

Pretty sure it's a legit V1x, but the one you already had cut open is the current one (2023 model which is also on the market in 2024) and the refurbished one i agree with the other poster, that it looks like a 2013 version. Not surprised if they made those changes over 5 iterations of the ball. It's been 3 generations in between. As for the weight i don't know.

Played both Ultra and Chaos great off the driver , better options to use around the green and putting. Wilson does make a great golf ball model Staff.

Looked to me like the lake ball was darker by a small amount, May have been a different lot. Meaning the balls were made on different day's. Just an idea.

I just started golfing again after 12yrs off. I foolishly bought a bunch of Nitros. They hit like plastic rocks. I have found a great feeling cheap ball though, Cut Red. I can get them for $22/2 dozen. And they must’ve fixed their cover issues, I haven’t had a single one split or crack like some people. I would really cuss if I played the Titleist. $5 every time I smashed one in the woods. 😂

I think for beginners that loose a lot of balls Nitro is fine but as soon as you get better, spend 1,50 or 2usd on something like a Vice Tour or similar and you will get a better ball. There is really good premium balls from 2,50 and up like Vice pro Plus or Mynt that have great spin and distance more comparable to a ProV1

I used to play just any golf ball I found on the course. But they behave so differently, I now firmly believe you should choose a ball and stick with it. Particularly with approach shots.
