@udx-483muddbucket5 , I have a 2995DX-HP that was only 4 months old when the finals fried. I'm taking it to a local radio tech that was a former Ranger tech to get fixed instead of sending it to Ranger in CA. For a few days, I was running her wide open and didn't think whatsoever that the finals would burn up like that. I found out from the radio tech that the 2995 series base stations burn finals easily. Kinda bummed since I love that radio!

@@268Arizona I have a friend local that has two. Same thing with him. working one evening, turned it off. Turned on the next evening and no transmit or receive. He replaced voltage regulator and finals I believe and nothing. Had to send it in. You're lucky you have someone familiar with it. I've heard there is a replacement final that is more robust and operates the same without failure. I don't know that to be fact. Good luck. ✌✌

I had some bots subscribing a month or so back and since then YT is unsubscribing and canceling comments and likes from anything they feel isn't legit. If I don't catch what they've done and watch and comment they will delete you from my subs. ✌✌

I had to seek this one out not being on an even frequency and had to wait about 5 minutes to get my turn. lol ✌✌

@udx-483muddbucket5 I got my 220 line into my radio room the other day so yes I'm moving on up! Got my homebrew 4-500z tubes going so ive been talking a ton on am last few days! First time I keyed up on the superbowl ol D-rail came back and said damn 533 you got it going on! My Anytone now works great on am and I'm lovin it! I'm getting great audio reports. I use my TS 250 to drive the 4 500z tubes! Happy new year Steve!

Thanks. I like the M2 a lot. It came from a Silent Key and didn't cost me anything. I had been looking at them and like I've said, I don't put my work money into the shack so it would have been a long time before I got one had I not gotten it this way. I really have to thank Mr. Kenneth. It was as if he led me to it. ✌✌

You will have to get an adaptor but it will work and you will be able to use your other 4 pin mics as well. I have the adaptor on my AT5555 Plus to disable the powered pin and I can still use my mic on other 4 pin radios. ✌✌

@@udx-483muddbucket5 It's true that we have advantageous regulations here for retirement and social security coverage, but that might not last given the current government that doesn't know what to do anymore! We'll always have the radio, at least they won't be able to take it away from us!
