When are you completing this truck
You're a nice looking very talented man, do you have any progress for us to see please?
Awesome Bud... great info and hardout work in these vids. Been designing Caravans and Vans with full side slideouts, just waiting to fund up to start the journey meself. Thanks for your Vids and story, cheers and good luck.
Hey Dan how You traveling with the truck ?
Question plse - what's yr main reason/s for a slideout?
Nothing crude about your work mate...........Top notch!
Both Canadian and Australian window design are crap.😂
The craziest project 🤩
1:16 Wow, Luigi personally helped you.😂
Thanks bro❤
Super Mega Like ❤
bravo
Mate. Those stairs are AWESOME. I’m just about to start my own build and ran across your videos today.
Do you remember how much space you allowed on each side of the top to pass by the bottom, ie 1/2", 1" per side?
Your prob done by now but I would just put a suspension lock up system in the back end of the truck and then the only movement would be in the tyre side walls which would be minimal. Cool video mate... I'm watching in NZ
Where did you purchase your actuators and what is the maximum weight capacity. I'm looking to build a lifting deck in my yard
Just subd 👍
I think you're borderline nuts but the right kind ... greetings from Newfoundland Canada 🇨🇦 😊... amazing 👏. I found you looking for ideas on a slideout for a box truck . 🚚
good work mate. will pay off in the end
Coming along nicely. Been following you, and I am aware how small things like collecting water system becoming very important part of the project. I am almost there to start my similar project and learnt a lot. Thanks for for the videos and good luck with the rest of your work.
What are you doing with the troope
I watch this video of yours sir! I love what you did.
Where's the tank?
Where should I look to buy cheap sailboats? Thanks
would love an update if possible love your work and your crazy ideas
I have been trying to find a decent slide out build video. This was excellent, thank you!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
God you built something I only was able to imagine and sketch.. I'm so happy to see it come to life
Hi, I use 5550-II's or PXC-550's (loved them until the battery died) and recently I have upgraded to Bose QC Ultra to help dampen noise even more. I am considering a new project, which may seem like just a mental exercise but it has to start somewhere. I purchased an all-aluminum travel trailer, which had one-piece panels and solid foam insulation. However, I found out that air invasion and insulation were still issues. Therefore, I would like to find a way to seal the air as well. The temperatures here can reach up to 120°F with long summers. Additionally, I may also be exposed to high humidity and air pollution at times. I would like to use solar power as much as possible and will opt for thick solid insulation unless I can find a way to vacuum insulate. Thanks for sharing!
Hi, I've been looking for information like this. Max would be proud. Thank you.
Dan! We are looking at purchasing this exact van! Any more videos? Also we can't for the life of us fing out the brand of van
Where did you learn how to weld?
my dad has a 6x4 trailer rusty as all balls but has for falcon mags on it. mags are probably worth more then the trailer
Amazing work. You make my trucks look half assed.
Hi mate, Great job and well thought through. I have a an old Chevy truck (1978 Chevy C60 tipper) that I am thinking of converting it to similar to yours but it is not a high chassis. Will follow your work certainly. Well done. 👍
Hi Dan, would you mind giving me the specification and brand name of the isolation cladding you are using ? Happy New Year!
👍
It's good to see another upload from you. I'm just glad you've got a new space to work in. Thanks for sharing this project with us. It's amazing!
So much colors and textures on the truck. And then you have the plan to paint the inside WHITE 😭 🤣 don't do it 😘
White is good for ceilings... So many people make their motorhome ceiling some dark colour and it's like walking through a dingy nightclub. A white ceiling with dark walls is better than white walls and dark ceiling. Because light reflects down from a white ceiling onto surfaces. But if the ceiling is dark you get shadows on every surface that doesn't have a light directly above it, and surface mount lights project a narrow beam downwards. e.g. You can have a round surface mount downlight right above your head, look down to chop some vegetables, but where the knife is there's shadow! I don't know why people do it... Maybe they want the natural look of wood, but wood ceiling AND walls looks tacky. And you don't walk around with your eyes up on, or even look up at the ceiling when sitting down - so why make it match darker walls. Most of the time you look straight ahead or down, and only occasionally glance up anyway. So a ceiling should be matt white and if you want colour do it on the walls not the ceiling (like nearly every house is). Anyone who has been in a nasty greedy landlord's rental where they've used whatever paint they could get free from a garage sale on the ceiling knows what I mean. I was in a house once that had all light coloured pine planks on both ceiling and walls. It was the middle of a sunny day, bright outside, but inside it was like a dungeon. They had a glass wall across the back of the house looking out on the backyard, where the dining table was on the left and lounge area to the right, but apart from watching TV, everything else needed a light turned on. White walls with dark trim say an inch wide would look ok, but if not, yeah I'd probably make the walls darker than the ceiling (but not DARK), not much darker than a lightly-stained wood like a country farmhouse look.
Always good to see the progress Dan!
Looking the goods, won’t regret the super singles 👍👍
Great to see the progress, Dan. (And the shiny new (old) fire truck! I hope it finds a good home.) I hope the new year works out exceptionally well for you.
Congratulations on your progress.
Can the tanks be attached under the text our in the text
I'm confused are those black tanks the water tanks that are under the truck in the back
Is this drinkable water
Was trying how to figure out an easy slide out assembly and you have just saved me hundreds of hours of just how the fudgesicles lol I'm going to do it thank you and love how you showed how easy it was to make decent adjusters thank you
Mechanical engineer here. Gotta say, I absolutely love the "jump on it and rock it back and forth" method of evauating structural stiffness and deflection.
