European Rallycross Championship 1985, full Season
In the Rallycross season in 1985, nine events are run in Europe.
Division 1, Anders Norstedt from Sweden, won his first ERC for Group A 1984 with his Saab 900 Turbo, and he is ready for his second triumph. His competitors are Swedish Lars Nystrom with his Volvo 240 Turbo and Norwegian Bjorn Skogstad with his Opel Ascona i2000.
Division 2, Martin Schanche from Norway, won his fourth ERC for Supercars, and he is in search for his fifth. His rivals and competitors for Supercars is Finnish Matti Alamaki with his Porsche 911 Biturbo 4x4, who wants to win his second ERC title. And Swedish Olle Arnesson with his Audi Quattro also wants to win his fourth ERC title.

Yes i totally agree 💯% & the same for Nascar as well. At one point Nascar was the most popular sport in North America beating the “NFL” which is saying something.

Bandimere was taken off the schedule due to the highway E470 construction. Before it came back the next year.

I had the fiberglass Door Panel of the John Collins JVC Stereo Funny Car in my shop for years (1st Crash in this vid). They had left the shell lying at the far end of (La) State Capitol Dragway. I went out there & ripped the Door Panel loose & carried it out under my arm with all kinds of other loot. 63 now, I was 20ish then. Had forgotten that panel till now, back when they hand-lettered & painted bodies. Never saw it after '16 flood, it was just gone-
