Adventures in Vietnam
Vietnam
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 18 มี.ค. 2022
Our family relocated to the central highlands of Vietnam to live a healthier and more sustainable life. We are determined to create a new home for our family in the beautiful countryside, surrounded by coffee farms and rice paddies. Follow our adventures as we renovate an old townhouse, establish an English language school and craft beer brewery.

Why buy a house when you can only have a visa for 90 days at a time?
Hello, I’m in Da Nang Vietnam. I might be going to play cool later this month to do a TRC with my wife’s hometown just reaching out. Maybe our families can get together for dinner or coffee or something and talk some English remember I have a four year-old son Let me know if you’ll be interested. Hope you doing good
@@bryanr435 hey.. we are all fine and enjoying life. What days are you in town. We are actually riding up the coast slowly to Da Nang from the 30th. Meeting up would be great. Cheers!
@@adventuresinvietnam yeah that would be great and if you come to da nang I’ll be here a long time :-) keep me up-to-date on your travels and we can meet for dinner or coffee
Lovely moment. Waiting for new vids
You could have hired an architect. I see a missed opportunity here
I don't know why, but vietnam looks like Latin america
Awesome stuff Royster! Loving watching this entire series even if it is two years old now! I'll be doing the same thing in a few years hopefully! I'd have bought 2 more packs and made sure she kept the 100,000 VND after giving me a free one hahaha!
Where are the new videos
Netflix is such a bad company. They cancelled my account as soon as i was in Vietnam. Ive been using someone else account so its acutally cool apart from i cant read Korean. So i need to open a Vietnamese bank account and vietnamese phone number for it to work. American companies are so annoying. Netflix has also double charged me three months in a row. They refunded after i was on the phone to them

17:35 just pounding that concrete in sandals. I love it. Thats EXACTLY how I do things here in Canada! I can't wait to move to Vietnam! Awesome video, watching all the way from the beginning! Thanks for your uplaods!!!
No windows, No underfloor Dampproof membrane. foundations build directly on the ground. Wrapping a building with water proof coating traps in the moisture... Absolute disaster of construction results in hot humid mouldy nightmare. 😱
Why no more videos?
What city is this and what company is this construction team?
cmon man its summer time in Vietnam. wheres some new videos from one of my fav youtube channels. im in Da Nang and considering a train trip to Quy Nhon. I remember you did a video of that super scenic town slightly north of there
Hey are you still posting videos.. keen to seee where things are at with you :)
Hi I would like to go to PHU QUY island next month and would like to know if I need any visa or permit to enter the island? I couldn't find any information regarding this..
Make sure to take your passport and TRC as there is a military presence on the island. They will document your arrival and departure to the island. A trek up to the lighthouse offers a panoramic view of the island. Enjoy your trip. Cheers!
@@adventuresinvietnam Hi how do I obtain the TRC? it will be provided by the homestay right ?
its summer time. any more videos coming. they are super cool and this is why and its your reason as well but im not a big fan of the foreigner areas in any country really. would you recomend visiting Gia Lai? i wonder how to get there from Da Nang. must go to Quy Nhon and then take a bus up that way lol
Ngôi chùa này có đầu tư tất cả làm bằng gỗ khác với ngôi chùa làm bằng xi
That house is one story, looks 5 meters wide. Windows aren't allowed on sides with neighbors, their houses will butt up against yours on lots like this. (A villa is a house with yard around.) Our house in central Saigon costs $70k to teardown the old one and rebuild, including kitchen build out. A 3 story tube house with roof deck, 4 meters wide, 18 meters long. The land though is ridiculously expensive in Vietnam.
But you dont own the house ( your wife owns it ) and if she leaves you its over
I’m the eternal optimist. We have two children, 3 chickens and a dog. Why on earth would she leave?
@@adventuresinvietnam millions of divorced men thought the same thing
@@ThaoNguyen-jv4up billions of men live in marital bliss. Let’s keep things positive.
40 years ago that would be a fun watch. They have been a fast developing economy for around a decade.
omg did you take the motorbike all the way from your home. how long did that take. man my butt gets sore from Da Nang to Hoi An. also to Hoi An its flat easy rode but i imagine the road from your home to Quy Nhon has many hills and sharp turns? could you always rode a motorbike or did you need to learn when you came to asia?
anymore videos coming up. Does your daughter speak both English and Vietnamese. thats so cool
800 000000 vnd maybe the building cost, not including the land price
So beautiful. Could you write the name of the big pagoda please? And where is it?
has anyone ever told you, that you look a lot like Daniel Craig? Sorry if you here that a lot^^ German Husband to a Vietnamese wife here. We are living in Germany, but i would love to buy a house in Vietnam. Germany just passed a law, wich allows dual citizenship, so maybe i will go for that. Looking forward for more "house building" Videos.
Hi Roy, I'm in Daklak and about to begin a house build. How can I contact you to pick your brain?
Howdy.. You can send me an email and I’ll connect via zalo. It’s in our contact details.. gialaibrewing@gmail.com
I didn’t know one could buy a self standing home in Vietnam as a foreigner…. How did you manage?
lets all get behind the royster doyster. lets share this channel and by the end of the year lets get him 2 million subscribers
niiiiiiice
It says "tiệc cưới" which means wedding party. Are you sure it's just a housewarming party? That's a hell of a housewarming party if so haha
It’s a rental tent and catering.. usually for weddings. It was 100% a house warming party. Cheers
I have been to so many parties like this in the past 4 years. It could be a wedding reception, birthday party or high school reunion. They are so much fun even though I do not speak the language. Children giggle when I mispronounce Vietnamese words. I do know how to greet people and thank them. Most importantly I know how to do "Cheers" the Vietnamese way, which gives me much credence. I just got my E-Visa a couple of hours ago so I will be coming back to Vietnam for Honeymoon part 3.
Enjoy the honeymoon.. its cool up North so perhaps Saigon or Da Nang. Cheers!
@@adventuresinvietnamI understand Saigon is very warm now. We have been to Đà Lạt twice and it has been very nice. None of the hotels had air conditioning, they do not need it. We have been to Da Nang twice and it has perfect beach weather but if you get away from the beach it was very warm. Now if you want to spend a cool day get on the cable car tram and go up the mountain to The Golden Bridge (Cầu Vàng) at Sun World. That day Sun Wrld was one of the best days of my life. Our first trip when I get back to Viet Nam we will be going to CON DAO island. I have been doing some research on the internet and it looks like Con DON DAO has some nice resorts and much history. Being from the West I have so much to learn about Vietnamese culture and history. That is not a chore for me because I enjoy learning.
😂😇😊🦘🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻 getting on veitjet from Brisbane in 8 hours to Saigon! Wife and daughter in advance 2 weeks to meet grandparents after 4 years of this and that ! 😊🤞
Have fun! Its boiling hot of recent.. and nice to sit out at night eating. cheers!
Great to see you posting again .. hope the tiling goes well. What a job removing them. I'm up there shortly to visit friends in HCMC
Thanks 👍
No need to go to the gym with the pounding of the soil. At least it's not under water like most of England. It has rained nearly every day since the beginning of February. Expect potatoes and veg to double (again) in price.
tám trăm triệu eight hundred million dong roy😊
Inside looks nice with the ceiling and skylights. It also looks termite proof with no wood construction. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
That’s a beautiful area too. So roughly around 60,000 for land and the house.
😊🍻👍👍👍👍👍
👍👍👍👍👍🍻
👍👍👍👍👍
How many m2 section and house you have?
I think the land is 230m2 and the house I coudnt tell you space. We have 5 bedrooms and 2 toilets.. the upstairs has an odd design but its bright and airy. Cheers
Great to see you back making content again.
Thanks. I have been super busy teaching all over the city with little time to document much. Also the kids needed more attention... having daddy behind the camera or editing videos isnt ideal for family life. Cheers!
Looks great! Dark grey bro imo
Thanks!
One thing you know for sure, your house is built great and strong the way that floor is coming up. 👍
welcome back .
House is looking great now Roy
Glad to see you back on the channel Roy. Been missing your videos. 😊
