NOVRTISCH SSE18 Review - WATCH before you buy!
มุมมอง 53K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Wittering on about electric airsoft pistols for which I have a passion and considering the SSE18 as a viable product.
Update?
There is a gen 5 by the shop you briefly showed and it's even better, It has better bearings, gears a programmable ETU with microswitch trigger, it already comes with an 11.1v lipo and can be pre- upgraded with a 50k motor for absurd firerate. It has ~230 fps and can be gotten to ~300fps with the eagle6 spring because of perfect airseal.
I know this is 3 years old but I too wish it was snappier. They have recently came out with a gen 2 version with upgraded mosfet and it is available for $16 on the website, it is supposed to make it much snappier
"If you're after a product review which this isn't really" good one 😆 I clicked on title "SSE 18 review" cause that's what I was looking for. Almost tricked me that it wasn't a review. Phew, glad I stayed I got a good review, thanks for the great video!
Getting that battery in is a fking nightmare
Man pleas help me how do I get the metal cap off to install the unit tracer?? Was tryi g to get it off whole day
There have been reports of this weapon not feeding very well. How's your experience?
The motor adjustment on the bottom of the mag.. what do u do w it??😊
i love how he just casually pushes bugs away lol
Does that GN3 battery have a product code? can't seem to find it anywhere.
Hello, can you send me a link to this gun holster you are showing? And I would also like to clarify if by changing the spring you can increase the power to 350 fps?
What did you do to the slide od SSE-18?? It looks cool!
can i have to motor link
nice
Hi could you make a vid on assebling of this gun, i took trigger apart completly, and im having troubles putting it back together, and there is no tutorial on that on novritch page
The gun stinks. DO NOT BUY
After almost 7 minutes you didn't say anything. Waste of time.
Really can’t find a 11.1v battery that fits, can anyone help with a link for one?
Know is a bit late but do you have links to the 11.1v batteries used?
What a borrring story...
Mine only shoots at +- 150 fps , any1 knows how i can fix this ? It's a gen2 as well
If i just wanted to up the jules to say .9 or so could i just drop in a stronger spring or do i have to do anything else
how did you get the M80 to fit? Did you like just press really hard or use a special tool to hold it in place?
No special tool but it is fiddly! With one hand you need to press the components in to the frame while the other compresses the spring. It does take some effort along with the risk of everything sproinging out the chassis...
The M80 spring would not fit when I added it. It would like jump out of the gearbox
How did you get the LiPo 350 battery to connect to the Sse18 because the one I bought doesn't connect.
What's the name of the 11.1v battery you used?
the video is certainly helpful, but to compare a cheap vs expensive sidearm quality, theres gonna be an obvious difference. also, i highly believe stuff even 15 years ago was made of far higher quality than today. in EVERYTHING.
Definitely a treasure without hesitating. Full Auto more reliable bc electric extremely cheap cheaper while using bc u don’t need gas you can give it many upgrades and it looks cool
I'd pay another $50 if it came out the box like this...
Sweet video although few more notes on teardown procedure would have been nice for anyone wanting a go. Bit gutted you didn't try the 3s lipo on the original spring too, seems shame not to know how effective just the spring is being.
They actually went for bushings on the SSe18 over bearings, apparently for durability. Sounds like cheapo copout to me, just sell spares for goodness sake and all is well without losing performance.
Hey nice review, you have inspired me to not need GBB
Can you make a video on how u can upgrade it
Like this one?: th-cam.com/video/a49qmvB6q94/w-d-xo.html
These are constantly out of stock on their website. What would you suggest as a comparable out there?
he literally hate novritsh
Great review and honest thoughts! I have an MK23 secondary for sniper, but looking to get something full auto. Just wondering would you recommend the SSE18 over a micro-SMG like the Tokoyo Mariu MP5K high cycle?
I'd always recommend a Marui over a CYMA. The MP5K has a full size gearbox (I believe) so I would say is more of a CQB gun, rather than a secondary. A good choice if you have a sling solution and know that you're going to transition to it. Lousy for one handed operation and if you need to transition quickly. The MP7 is an AEP gearbox but has the same considerations as above. Personally I'd stick to a large frame AEP in a pistol format (USP, M93R, M92).
Went with the SSE18 and very impressed so far! It just works and is a bit more wieldly than the Mk23 in fast draw situations, particularly with a single stage trigger. I know it will never be as silent as the Mk23 (and that’s fine, it’s not hugely loud anyway), but just wondering any thoughts on reducing the noise signature (or making it more of a dull thud than a ‘braaat’? I’ve tried different hand positions and it seems the majority of noise is coming from the grip where the gear box is. Wondering about installing foam/rubber panels internally? I’m pretty adapt with tuning spring guns/VSRs, but new to AEG/AEPs. Thoughts or advice?
@@rdb9936 Try a cut bicycle inner tube round the grip - that will soften the gear noise. Also helps with grip - the plastic is quite slippery. That's about all you can do - you'll always have the noise of the piston hitting the cylinder head. Anything more turns in to an exercise in frustration and wasted time (ask me how I know). Suppressors and/or longer barrels make no practicable difference.
@@theairsoftveteran6427 Thanks! The suppressor helped a bit actually - changed the sound signature to be more of a dull sound and quietened it a bit. I already have some Jack Pyke tape around the grip, but will try putting some rubber/inner tube round or something. I know it’s never going to be completely silent, so cba to shim gears etc for maximal gains like you say. I spent enough time tweaking my VSR to perfection, I just want a reliable side arm and SSE18 seems to be that - just looking for some quick easy fixes to quieten/dampen it a bit. Will try the inner tube - thanks for the advice!
You mentioned that you used a lot of electric pistols. I was wanting to pick one up. Which one would you recommend?
A Marui. If you want to modify it get something with a big frame like the USP, M93R or the newer M92. The quality is much higher than the Chinese versions
Why not choose brushless?
Couldn't find one in a 380 form factor - would be interested in where to get one if you know...
@@theairsoftveteran6427 seems to be plenty on the market. Amazon and hobbyking. Are you familiar with what the gear reduction ratio is? Seems like an old design that might be able to be cleaned up and simplified.
@@David_Mash Yes, it really is old tech. I can't check the gear reduction from where I am now as I don't have access to my workshop.
@@theairsoftveteran6427 hobby/rc motors have advanced so much in the last 5 years alone, I would think one could nearly achieve direct drive
@@theairsoftveteran6427 I don't know if you're still in the sport, but Kingdom of Airsoft recently released (almost) drop in brushless motors for AEPs and CMGs
You've had an AEP for 16years?! You'd be the expert to ask if the market supports self defense worthy power upgrades yet? Co2 doesn't cut it in the winter and we get bobcats and bears that I prefer carry pepper rounds against than anything lethal
Dear God! Dont try using one for a self defense application! Bear spray would be my recommendation.
Where did you get slide?
This is great, would love to see more vids like this on various guns
What Aep would you recommend
Keep up the good work man
Changing the gen 2 mosfet into this thing made a huge difference to mine. Not only it now works under 10C but the trigger response is almost gbb level
Great info for the AEP noon like me. I wish you made more videos for YT. Great knowledge.
Chinese......
I just had a weird moment of curiosity. And wanted to know what the inside of an aep looked like, and it is so weird. I'm only used to working on aeg m4, and Gbbp's so this is foreign territory for me. I don't own one but seems neat
Should I get this or the game face gfap13?
Does anyone know the threading size for this guns barrel??? I cant find it anywhere
When you upgraded the battery to the 11.4 did you have a problem with the gun wanting to shoot auto in single?
No. Are you having this problem (I know why you would have this problem and what the solution is)?
@@michaelclements8360 yes
@@deweywilliams7247 OK - I'm assuming you haven't upgraded the spring yet. If so, the higher voltage battery is overspining the gears. The solution is to put the bigger spring in - this will slow the gearbox down and prevent the over spin. Hope that's useful.
@@michaelclements8360 ok that makes since I have a bigger spring to put in it. I did the battery first since it was easiest lol
@@michaelclements8360 what spring did you go with?
