Yah it can. Especially if I use too much RO water. I find it if I simply use some tap water here and there the pH stays pretty balanced. How do you manage pH?

My tank seems to be a custom built tank it’s 5ft 1inch long 16inch wide, and 14 inches high…….its said to be a 60 gallon long tank. The thing I like about this tank is it’s pretty light when empty, and really shallow” easier to clean, and do plant maintenance. I will be using it on pea puffers, and some other faster swimming community fish……It also fits on my dresser in my room perfectly. Whoever constructed this tank probably wanted a bedroom aquarium……it looks pretty damn big on the dresser. The side glass is shorter, and has abs plastic incase I want to add a canister filter on it.

I got a 29 gallon tank in my living room……..it is not a planted tank, it has glow plants, and glow fish. The only issue I have with this tank is it’s behind a window, and algae is a issue…….might change the lights to handle some plants, and put some shrimp, and snails in the 29 gallon tank…..the tank has mainly schooling fish inside it, and the added snails will take care of a lot of algae” along with the shrimp……..the snails can be a food source for my pea puffer tank. I might buy a 10 gallon tank for any pea puffer fry I get….,,I already know how to breed pea puffers” 2 male puffers 8 females I will be using peat moss on many branches with a small Tupperware with green mop head string to capture the eggs, and transfer them into the 10 gallon tank to spawn.

That red terror will probably outgrow the jaguar and have the same issue. That tank big enough for one, or maybe a breeding pair with constant supervision and a divider when problems arise. Having kept both of those fish and most others in the tank, the jaguar and red terrors are the only two ive seen that can kill another cichlid the same size in less than a minute. Tank looks awesome though. Just got back into the hobby after 10 years and will probably attempt something similar while the fish are juvinile. Came across this video because this is one thing i have never attempted and want to try. Edit: unless that is a false red terror

They are so fun to watch, they have excellent character and are always doing something new. Having their heads poking out the sand, swimming frantically like it is doing zoomies playing in the bubbles. Very fun fish for coldwater setups. Cant wait to get another one soon. I love danios, I think they show their best traits in a higher flow tank. I had 8 Zebras, 6 Mountain Minnows, and 3 panda garra in a circular flow 15gal. My most successful tank to date. I shipped the Garra and they came in skinny and weak, but all 3 recovered and that tank had no deaths or sickness in the year it was set up. Constant 0, 0, 0 ammonia, nitrite, nitrate with a huge pathos I had growing out of the filter.
