I actually enjoyed reading this book but not as much as the previous book. I liked the references to T.E Lawrence and Helen Seymour from Young Indy Chronicles. The Vatican setting with Mussolini was cool and is very Great Circle before Great Circle. I honestly can’t remember what happens in the third act but I remember not liking it much.

Has there been some sort of an update for the English translation project of the three remaining volumes so far? (Ich kann eigentlich auch Deutsch lesen und habe die Bücher gekauft, bin aber kein Muttersprachler und es wäre viel besser sie auf English lesen zu können.)

As an Indiana Jones fan, it does feel like being an outsider. I do wish they made more Indy novels & comics.

Bin heute mit dem Band fertig geworden. Und ich fand’s wirklich schön. Auch wenn ich’s etwas schade fand, dass einige Mitglieder der Sonderstaffel nach wie vor eher nur wenig ne Rolle gespielt haben

Ich muss gestehen, in dem Band hab ich die ganze Zeit drauf gewartet, wer der Verräter in der Sonderstaffel ist. Und um ehrlich zu sein, bin ich froh, dass ich mich hab mehrmals irreführen lassen 😅

Bisschen schade, wie die ganzen Kommentare zu der High Republic stehen. Sie sind zwar eindeutig nicht so gut wie beispielsweise die X-Wing Bücher, aber trotzdem finde ich persönlich sie eigentlich ganz cool. Und so schlecht, wie viele hier das finden, ist es meiner Meinung nach auch wieder nicht 😅

Es ist ein gutes Zeichen dass wir jetzt ein gutes Indy Spiel bekommen haben. Es sieht so aus als würden die Veränderungen in der Gesellschaft langsam Disney und selbst Kennedy in die Knie zwingen, sodass endlich wieder alles möglich wird.

I agree: I remember this episode fondly and I watched it as a teenager, so it was easy to bore me out, but this episode maintained what it promised: smart entertainment.

Hello there! I recently found your channel and I really enjoy your Indy novel reviews. Have you reviewed Pyramid of the Sorcerer and Mystery of Mt Sinai? I really enjoyed reading those books.

Oh my god! YOU are using MY cusom covers for Gypsy´s Kiss (and for Rauchende Spiegel). I guess you found them on THE RAVEN (and yes, I am Klaus Kerner there). I also recommend "Secret of Nan Mandol", formerly known as "Lost Continent" by Monkey/Primate as well. Pimate´s books have a unique pacing and kept me on the edge. I loved Vadoma. But both books really have disapointing endings. I have read a lot of Indy-fanfics and I still think those are among the best Indyfanfics despite their endings. IMO better than Staff of Kings and the Fate of Atlantis fan-novelizations. I would also recommend "IJ and the lost crowns of Illyria", which is also a fanfic that was released in serial format

If you're interested in more good Indy fanfiction books, there's the fan novelization of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis by Dale Dassel. The novelization includes a lot more from the video game that wasn't in the comic adaptation, alongside some of its own ideas, and is kinda considered an honorary 90s Indy novel, in the same vein at the prequel books from the 90s. There's also Indiana Jones and the Curse of the Golden Idol, a German fan novel by Andre Milewski, which was translated into English by Rachel Schneider, who also did a few of the English fan translations of the official German Indy novels.

You say you've ran out of official materials to review, but have you covered the Scholastic "Untold Adventures" books? Indiana Jones and the Pyramid of the Sorcerer and Indiana Jones and the Mystery of Mount Sinai specifically. There's also Rob MacGregor's novelization of Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, which was approved and meant to be published alongside the game, although never released due to scheduling issues. It has been released by him online for free, however!

It's great to see someone make a comprehensive history of Indy's EU. The Indy EU has so little attention compared to the Star Wars EU, but he has some pretty deep lore to him, through the movies, games, prequel novels, German novels, comics, etc. Will this also cover stuff like the Find Your Fate books, the German books, the RPG stories, and the obscure Facebook game?
