When you get your thank set up and the water to the right temp you can add fish right away. If you use dechlorinator. If not let it set a few days. If you put fish in right away only do one fish. Also VERY important do not over feed. For the first two months feed once or twice a day but very little. Also do about 10 to 20 percent water change twice a week for a month or so. How Liquid Moves Between Bottles The movement of liquid is controlled by pressure differences in the system: Triggering the Reaction: You squeeze Bottle A to push some citric acid solution into Bottle B. When citric acid enters Bottle B, it reacts with the baking soda, releasing CO2 gas. Pressure Build-Up: The CO2 gas builds pressure inside Bottle B, which pushes liquid from Bottle B back into Bottle A through the connecting tube. Cyclic Reaction: As pressure equalizes between the bottles, the process stabilizes, and the chemical reaction continues at a steady rate, producing CO2 gas.

@ I did subscribe, have done it three times with boiled maple leaf tea, with about 150-200 fry each time, donated to a LFS with a 250gal display tank ( I did end up with a free 75gal tank at the end)

They are lasting me a little longer than 2 weeks. I shut mine off at night. And I don’t turn it up high when using it. And my plants are doing great. Thanks for the question and I hope you are subscribed

@ I have a bubble counter in my diffuser. It’s the one I link in the description if you want to get it. It’s cheap and works great. I do a bubble every 1.5 seconds approximately

@ so this DIY co2 system you have to Manuel turn on and off right?

@@coolwater411 Yes. I turn mine off in the evening. It’s really easy to do. When the lights are off the plants don’t use c02 so it’s a waist to leave it on.

I’m speaking of the one I have linked in the description. There are other types so I can’t really speak to them.

I got into planted tank for aquarium in 2015 and I FREAKING LOVE IT and i noticed without co2 live aquarium plants thrive, but co2 really help them like in their natural environment! U fill your 2 liters soda bottles all the way to the top and how long it last?

How long should you soak the. Driftwood ?

Mine just keeps going. I do have it at a low output and I turn it off at night. That’s a great idea with the fire extinguisher. I’ll give it a try. Have you done it?

@@AnimalJeff-lh7fh Yes i personally had. To be honest the capacity is higher than Regular Aquarium cylinder. Try for the used Cease fire Liquid co2 Cylinders.

No you don’t need one. They do very well in no filter setups that are done right. Just make sure the water is clean with good water parameters. Thanks for the question.

@@AnimalJeff-lh7fh I'm from Norway and have been watching aquarium(mainly betta-focused) videos for about two years now. I think I'm a bit obsessed. It's just money and terrified of messing up that is holding me back. First risking the plants and money spent on that if I fail. And then the life of a fish I love so much even if I don't even have a fish lol I might subscribe if I stumble over your videos more, I really enjoyed that you took time to show us how you set the tank up.
