xx and xy may be involved but theres more than the xx xy involved and trans start in the womb as all humans are female during the first few weeks in the womb but then although boys are separate from girls in the womb the actual hormones can get mixed up which causes the individual in life after birth to be the opposite gender in the mind Dan. I knew I was different from a early age :)

I think this video is fantastic. It informs cispeople what things they sometimes do to offend transpeople, as well as why and how would be offended by, in a way they would understand, with wit and sarcasm. Thank you for this. ^^

so funny to see this video... I just got carded at a sex expo at the door and my new co-workers keep making comments about how young I am... they like think I am only like 21 or something... It is so hard to fight against the boxes that people put us in or assume we belong in... Good Luck fighting the good fight... Hearing you read what you wrote helped me more clearly see what I've been struggling with and differentiate what I /want/ rather than /what/ I am. You're a very good writer btw.

@lucidwinds You're absolutely right. I tend to take things from a trans perspective because I can only represent my own experiences (as I am not intersex), but I totally recognize that intersex people are forced to take a deeper look at gender much like trans people.

I think this is the most throughout video you have done! You did a great way describing the binaries as well as showing that they are stereotypical. "Men have muscle" lmao. I very much did enjoy it and I applaud you for being very in-depth. Can't wait to see more videos like this. Inspirational!

@lucidwinds Also, I didn't say everything I know about intersexuality (or any of these terms, really. I could go much more in depth but I wanted to keep it general here) in this video, but if there is anything about it you feel that I got wrong or that I could have addressed more clearly, I would really love to hear about it. @drum4ica lol i'm just in this weird funk where some days I wanna come out and tell the world and live my life the way I want to and other days I just want to curl up in a box and have everything be normal. Today is one of those curl up in a box days, and so I feel all embarrassed when people know (that's why I didn't tell anyone on my facebook or anything). That, and I always worry if I seem legitimate enough to people I know.

@QueerlyK I hope this isn't awkward... Believe me I don't talk to anyone anyhow... especially now that is summmer... you are actually one of the few I have actually been able to corresponde with so far this summer... I was just thinking out loud as well... I too hate gender neutral pronouns, I just go by whatever... I am just in this funk where I hate both masculine and feminine... Why can't we just be where we are!!!!

@drum4ica That said, I have no objections to "sie" or "they", so I would feel totally fine if someone addressed me as those, I just wouldn't go so far as to specifically state that one of those is my preferred pronoun. (oh and by the way, i'm sorry if all this is kinda awkward lol. I hadn't intended to come out to all the people at Miami just yet...i'm just taking things one step at a time.

@drum4ica Yeah i've thought about a lot of different options. But I found that using the gender-neutrals (be it "they", "sie", or what have you), for me, were more awkward than they were worth and didn't really afford me any extra comfort. And as I said, while I don't identify as a MAN, I do feel more comfortable on the more "masculine" side of things. But either way, a pronoun can't by any means encompass the whole of my identity anyway, so I try not to put too much weight on it.

Thanks for the post vlog message, I was wondering about the connection between the two. I was thinking... Have you considered non-gendered pronouns? Using pronouns such as "they" are easy and non-defining, which can be very freeing for all parties involved.

@drum4ica Oh no you found me! Lol I was trying to fly under the radar. But yeah, i've been really trying to connect with the FTM/genderqueer community on TH-cam. The channel started as a project for WMS 202, but now I intend it to serve both as another voice for people who may be in my shoes and a log for my own journey. And Don't worry...my vlog skills should improve. Right now i'm working on cutting out the ums, looking at the camera, and being more concise.
