And the drummer adds some guitar...
You would think this song was written with him in mind because he seemed to be the one was enjoying himself jamming along the way through the song...thank you Garry for the music you left us with
My fave
The Way Up is sheer genius, and a commitment to musical endurance. Everyone on that stage literally ran a music marathon in terms of length. Over an hour, non stop, no conductor, no breaks, just straight up brilliance.
I’m am so glaaaaaaaaad they found Antonio for this group. He was the missing link to their whole entire soundscape. Gotleib was second.
I understand the standing and shifting of body weight to get all that phrasing pulse out of the horn. Ultimate conviction!
This is taking music to the absolute next level. I wish I could travel back in time just to experience this
2 0 O 5. The last group work The famous last word METHENY group 😊
Utterly Sublime! And easily ranks of one of the greatest ballad standards of all time! Gary Peacock: My All-Time Favourite Acoustic Bassist - just listen to his lyrical inspection improvisation; and nobody does better walking-bass melodic and compositional diversity than Peacock. PLS, SHOW ME, OTHERWISE!!! RIEP
The Way Up and First Circle are total timeless, bad-ass MATERPIECES.🎶🎶🎶
I fell in love with this piece (especially the outro) back in the late 1980s. It still sounds sublime. Thank you Keith, Gary, and Jack. Your music has really helped me live life better.
Czy tu potrzebne są słowa. Wystarczy otwarte serce , umysł i nieskażony bzdurami słuch. Naprzód Keith i Jack
Bravo.
The extension (6:50 ~) is one of the best dance music I've ever heard. Let's start dancing!!
fantastic compositions and performances of the great PMG...missing Lyle 😔
such mutual joy....
Per sempre eterni❤❤❤
I prefer the versions with the European quartet. Keith Jarret had several periods, as we know, I chose mine. With Garbarek.
To see Mr. Peacock’s facial expression during this performance says it all.
:)
Magnifique ❤
I hear almost 50yrs of their music all rolled up in this album. You really don't want the music to end.
I have listened to this concert and this trio for years. Perfection! God bless them all and to all of you as well
This is one of those performances that no matter how many times I hear it, every time still feels like the first. It conjures up emotions in me that I can’t even explain. One of my absolute favorites.
The rhythm and the notes are a movement that bring the mind into stages of continuous pleasure and exaltation. Are you located?
This tune is a masterpiece, I feel.
It’s like he’s shredding on an acoustic
You put 3 brilliant musicians together and this is what you get. They work so beautifully together.
❤ What a power
Lyle Mays’s reaction at the end of the build 🔥🔥
Rodby satisfied too.
Magic when public applauds after three incredible solos, crazy energy !!
I listen to this frequently-amazing amazing amazing ❤
The wonderful Gary Peacock -a truly great bassist and a musician who contributed so much to every group he was involved with.
Some groove! Thanks for the upload!
I could listen to that ride bell all day
These phenomenal musicians play as an incredibly tight unit. Imo Lyle and Pat were one of most creative and lyrical composers ever since they burst on the music scene in the 1970s. They were an exceptional team that I dearly miss. Bravo!
Sublime musique de vie... la transition @ 6:51 Magnifique
This is serious modern music.
This is really serious
Jarrett/Peacock/De Johnette únicos e irrepetibles!!
No words to describe this
I was fortunate enough to see Gary with Keith J and Jack live in Boston a few times what a magnificent player Gary was being a drummer l would have loved to have played with him l can’t imagine what that would have been like RIP Gary
Trios make all the sound and feel you need !
All things must pass ...But could not someone have made an exception in this case ...
RIP!
