      🙂Thank you RandomGuy, I think this was an interesting discussion. Be sure to check out the other 6 parts and my original discussion with Aubrey de Grey. My objective was to cover some territory no other podcast has in some areas (or greater depth). It's in incredible geroscience community we have.

      Thank you Keith! Aubrey de Grey was a very gracious guest, I enjoyed our lively conversation. Most longevity themed podcasts are structured as question-and-answer between a host and expert. This interview felt different I think created truly novel content for the listener. It was more like a cross between an engaging lively debate/discussion between colleagues, and a fireside chat between friends. This made for going *deeper* into the science and controversy, and also made it a lot of fun! I think some of my favorite parts of this 4-part series were the segments included: 1) Deep dives probing Aubrey's paradigm and rationale for his Longevity Escape Velocity framework and conceptual basis for timetables & prediction. 2) Our discussions of controversies over how we can responsibly yet enthusiastically (optimally) relate the *value* of longevity science to the public. These were most heavily featured in parts 2 & 3 of the series, but I think every segment offered a unique and helpful contribution to the overall series experience. So buckle your seatbelt, and spread words with fiends, the Agingdoc Podcast is just getting started! "Agingdoc" ( Evidence-based Longevity Coach & optimal healthspan biohacker).

    Super knowledgeable host who perhaps needs to self-edit a bit more when asking questions. You tend to ramble quite a bit sir, often not even relevant rambling. I think it really slowed down these exchanges. Just some honest feedback to consider on your podcasting journey! I enjoy your content so far and look forward to future offerings

    • @agingdoc
      @agingdoc 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I love it Eric! Couldn't agree more with the critique. And you put that constructive feedback in such a nice way. It reminds me of the culture I'm trying to build on @agingdoc1 on Twitter (X); I have about 25,000 followers or so there and I post interesting articles and publications (many geared towards researchers) but also try to make a positive environment for everyone including all perspectives to learn from each other. In case it sound interesting to you or readers, here it is: twitter.com/agingdoc1 Aubrey de Grey's interview was literally my first interview *ever* for my podcast. Yep, all four parts were from the same ~90 minute session Aubrey graciously agreed to be part of. Truth be told I do focus on content over style, but I know that's an excuse and both are necessary. It being from my first post (and with such a *cough* modest baseline! ) hopefully no where to go but go up, but I will definitely put in an effort. Aubrey, in his customary manner was incredibly gracious and accommodating it being my first podcast. My interview with Aubrey was actually recorded before I went from an anonymous Twitter poster for 3 years to disclosing my public identity (backstory / big reveal): x.com/agingdoc1/status/1721983449907462349?s=20 ( more on my reveal from Longevity Technology longevity.technology/news/the-longevity-journey-of-agingdoc-from-commentary-to-clinic/) I wasn't sure how busy I would be once I went public and with starting the Agingdoc Podcast here at the same time so I have about 6 or 7 pre-recorded podcasts. I think the first 3 or 4 are just as bad (maybe worse) stylistically but I believe all cover new ground among podcasts featuring these prominent figures in longevity research (geroscience) and related disciplines. We covered publications and perspectives I have not seen shared elsewhere; asking unique questions is part of the fun for me following up on research studies I keep track of as a longevity coach/consultant. On that note, my other big release today was a major update of my website agingdoc.com which I hope makes it clearer what I do in this space. It's a personal moonshot, I really like doing it so hope to find clients (sorry its not priced for "at scale" since I'm quite specialized and only have a few hours a week to give to it... I have no plans to make a team like Peter Attia Rhonda Patrick, Andrew Huberman etc. all have... they are all amazing science communicators but I like being "selfish" hoarding all the one-on-one time with my clients which is most fun for me. TL;DR - 1.Appreciate the feedback, agree 100% and working on it 2. Lots more in-depth interviews coming in all recorded and released in segments just long enough for me to have time preparing it, typically Sundays 3. Would love your and other feedback on *agingdoc.com* . It's a little confusing what does it mean for an MD not to use his medical license (no official diagnosis/treatment/meds) but use broad background including PhD, lifestyle medicine training, longevity medicine training, evidence-based medicine to act as a coach and consultant to provide extra info. I know its not for everybody but I love it, and I try to "give back" by making this TH-cam channel and my content on Twitter free, no membership or anything required. I hope my more at-length reply encourages others to have the courage and spirit to make a comment to chime in. I love how deep Aubrey and I went into controversy (a lively conversation be sure you check out the other parts where we got into some great debates; Aubrey truly is a positive spirit), and (always respectful, focused on evidence) community discussion can help leverage the value of this unique content even further yet! Thanks again, you go down in history as one of my first commentators! In healthy longevity, David

    • @agingdoc
      @agingdoc 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question @CalumnMcAula ... I'm glad you asked because I think others are wondeirng the same thing... For ADG's interview we spent a good 90 minutes together, so it will be broken into parts. Not only to keep it digestable but also because I only have so much time to edit/review make sure it's a decent audio experience for everyone so I do a bit of that every week. So long story short there will several parts to the interview,, probably (not positive yet) alternating between Matt Kaeberlein and Aubrey de Grey before finishing both and continuing on to my next guest. This will make it more manageable volume wise (people can subscribe AND hit that bell icon too as not to miss an episode without fear of getting overwhelmed) and I can put it out balancing with the many other hats I wear. It was a delight getting to know Aubrey and our friendly discussion around the pros/cons different approaches to science communication and how best to make an impact. Best wishes, Agingdoc

    • @agingdoc
      @agingdoc 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a great idea Brandon, Vittorio Sebastiano, Sergio Ruiz et al @ Turn Bio are doing some very interesting work that are changing the landscape and leading edge of innovation. The podcast is an experiment in progress & began, before my "big reveal" of project 49 on agingdoc.com with interviewing a few selected thought leaders around broad themes such as a vision how to optimize efforts to accelrate the devleopment and dissemination of longevity technology to humans. I see myself potentially expanding the scope to specific novel funding and research approaches promising for bringing us to the Holy Grail of effective gerotheropeutics in humans faster. Keep the ideas coming. I am a team of 1 and generated all of this from scratch (TH-cam & agingdoc.com and the healthspancoaching.com business) in 3 months; every day is a major project of triaging priorities to optimal impact in this space. Best support anyone can give: spread word! 😉

Hitting the bell icon after subscribing makes sure you won't miss updates. I'm thinking once a week... Someone posted for Matt. Who will go down in history as the first (not counting me, agingdoc!) person to post on this historical interview. Aubrey was my very first guest, followed almost immediately by Matt so they are the two fathers of this podcast (with mothers to come within my first 4-5 ...). Echong my reply to the other vid up now: "Hard to believe but I went from conceiving I may do something different on my 49th birtday, to less than three months later launching my coaching/consulting business and the TH-cam channel. It's been an incredible learning journey. Since I'll only be working with a few folks I hope this TH-cam channel, like my @agingdoc1 Twitter account can be a way of generally being helpful in the aging biology, longevity, healthspan and lifestyle medicine communities. The conversations will assume the listener is already familiar with these fields, and in doing so I hope can elevate the level of discussion possible with my invited guests. Some special attention to how to expedite geroscience brining new therapies to patients (and healthy people!) ASAP.
