I see a lot of this at goodwill, dollar store items mark for $2 even 😤

So if I accidentally bought fake Tommy at goodwill but mine doesn’t accept returns should i toss it or re donate?

The Goodwills in South Jersey stopped doing the 50% off colors of the week. Did they do that where you live? The prices on certain brands were raised a little months ago as well. It’s making it so much harder to find quality deals.

I just learned today that apparently North Face had a ton of fakes out a few years ago. Made me RUN to my listing to make sure I had the real deal. Maybe do a video on spotting fakes of various brands?

I stop shopping at goodwill a long time ago because their just ripping people off

I work at a thrift store. Here our minimum wage has went up a dollar for the last 4 years or so..each year. Power bills have went up, water bills, grocery bills..this is more a reflection of our economy than always a certain place. Employees have to be paid, overhead is higher, rent is high..it’s a ripple effect. All connected. Places even like this would go out of business, be unable to support their employees and/or the charities they serve without raised prices like everything else honestly. It’s simple, not complicated. Just because a place gets free things donated, it goes towards keeping the establishment running and people employed plus pays for the organizations that offer help to homeless, feed people, food pantries etc. Without budgeting like the rest of the State/Nation there would be no second hand stores or no organizations offering shelter and food to those in need. When it comes to the Ross prices and things one could buy at a Dollar store, it’s not that people are doing it purposely most likely. It is more a matter of those working there and being somewhat incompetent to price or pay attrition to those things. They don’t have experts in there doing all this. They have volunteers or underpaid people making very little with no benefits. It helps us broke low income workers who can’t get a good job anywhere else.. you help or you hurt. We got it made in the USA. Quit having such a poverty mindset.

I quit shopping at Goodwill. I go to other smaller places. They need to go broke for marking prices up on free stuff😠

I used to work at good will and for clothes they’ll be generous but for wares if they can make profit they will.

I wear gloves, you don't know where this stuff has been.

Goodwill is literally a giant scam. Depending on your area, they will jack prices up on everything. It’s no longer a bargain to shop there.

I found a Christmas wreath sold at Walmart for 9.99 marked at 19.99 at goodwill. Stickers from dollar tree that had some missing, $2. Idk if they really look at these items sometimes.
