Obnoxious guy. you said yourself you didnt care what happened in the backline. Then they had a sombra killing your backline. Then you want you and winston to hold against a full team minus sombra close to their spawn, whilst their sombra is going to your backline again, making sure the cart will not move. You can not win one fight and expect not to have to fight again. Apart from all that, you speak as if you have authority about what is good play, while not communicating this play with your team.

For mauga I’ve always thought that if they tightened his dual fire spread and lowered his damage so that he’s better suited at targeting squishies it would solve alot if this problems. 1 he’s no longer a tank busting tank 2 it forces u to be more engaging with who/how u target. The only issue is that his survivability would go way down, but that’s fine honestly, and if it’s really an issue u can make it so he gets a burst of overhealth of kills or something.

So i don’t agree with every take here. But, the Kiriko one, I strongly agree with. Our new poster girl gets too much value, in too many areas and some of that value comes way too easily. Not only does she have suzu to outright deny/prevent a lot abilities. Sombra did this too, but all Kiri has to do is throw the ability down at her feet. She can time it for added benefit, but she could just use it after the face if she has enough hp to survive any incoming damage/ults to begin with. ( A JQ or Sig ult being a great example.) But not only can she use suzu, she also can just bounce whenever with a secondary get outta jail free card that also acts as a cleanse (If i remember corrrectly). This is why she can just go on wild flanks with no consequence. At least with Sombra she was essentially gone. Kiriko, just ends up right back with her team ready to go. If she just had one or the other i wouldn’t care, but her having both makes her survivability significantly annoying, because you likely won’t kill her unless she uses both abilities. I understand that in a game like overwatch you need to exhaust cooldowns as a counter-play solution. You can do this against Kiri, but a good Kiriko that knows what they’re doing, will be able to escape often. Honestly, I woudnt mine her keeping suzu, but i wish suzu didn’t work for her. I.e, she can use it to save teammates but not herself. That one change would essentially make easier counter-play, because then instead of having two life saving solutions, she has one for herself, and one for her team. Anyway, i dont hate her, but i think the value that she gets is just too easy all around.

Kiri annoying fr I kno I have mad hours on her I got her to lvl 100 within a month but I’ll say it’s really from suzu her tp is frustrating but once you rm that she needs teammates too she’s actually pretty manageable and u can catch her out consistently if you keep pursuing after she uses it from a High masters player. Suzu is crazy tho no arguments ab that

Yeah, I have this philosophy that annoying characters can't also be good; it's for this reason that Symm and Sombra are poorly designed. They're annoying and inherently can't be good, otherwise the game isn't fun. People can say "skill issue" all they want, but an invisible sombra with extra damage with the virus plus denying your abilities through hack... like there isn't any counter play if you're not with your team. Even then with the dps passive, there's been times my teammates couldn't even out-heal the onslaught of stupid Sombra mechanics. And even when they get low they just tp height and try again. Mauga on release was unkillable and one-note, making him boring and irritating to have to fight. And Symm... no one likes Symm, not my friends, not me, not my randoms, hell not even Symm players. 6 v 6 is the only way to solve the problems this game is facing at the moment; Blizzard knows it, it's just that they need someone to latch onto to continue marketing this game as "Overwatch 2." They've basically added everything back from the original game except loot boxes and 6 v 6, and they can't bring back loot boxes so they're forced to try and tune a roster of characters that can't be tuned. Long time Overwatch fan btw, every other hero-based pvp simply does it better. Yes this is a rant, sorry.

i dunno what to say people complain when lifeweaver had no impact, now that he does it's bad? should he not be able to protect his teammates? he has a lot of health and defensive options because his damage sucks. and tbh his primary healing does too.

Ball would need a buff to his primary to be a dps. If you just shrink him down and remove his shields he becomes the worst character in the game. We reduce his health to around 150 with 50 being armor. Keep the shields but it only gives around 25 per teammate around him but to ensure he doesnt instantly get bursted due to his round shape it gives 1.5 sec of cc immunity. This way he doesnt explode the moment he uses piledriver. Keep his keep his swings at 50 damage get rid of the knock up on pile driver or just lessen it, but make the damage 120 then lessen the damage on minefield but buff his primary so he can actually dive and take out supports without needing a second player with him constantly. Ball has way less survivability but keeps his identity as a hard to kill mobile hero his adaptive shield gives cc immunity because otherwise he'd be the worst dps in the game as hes round and easy to hit while being absolutely boned by any cc. He's still screwed by body blocking and while minefield is good at area denial his power is shifted to picking people one by one rather than massive area denial.

wtf is this guy talking about, half of these are garbo takes. Yeah, Ball is bad rn, but its not because of solo tank; Dive tanks are like the only tank archetype who are designed around being played solo, isolated from the rest of your team. Ball is bad because his DPS is so low that it cant follow through on any engagements his abilities setup for him, and because his defensive option requires him to get ganked.

if you think sombra is weak you are objectively wrong. the characters skill floor is one of the lowest in the entire roster and yet exudes far more pressure at her skill floor than 90% of the roster can at the middle of their skill level. a character who has burst, dps, top 3 ults in the game, the ability to virtually always enter a fight with advantage, can deny health packs, infinite invis, and silences is incapable of being weak. They should rework her again because they made her boring to play as and miserable to play against because she is just afk invis 2 feet away from you at all times waiting for you to use a cd so she can instant kill you

I've only played for a few months and Sombre popping up behind you happens in almost every game to the point where I'm used to it now. It seems like every game has a Sombre and widow in them

I think Sombra is in an okay spot, but when I'm playing as Zen it's a pain and spawn camping sombra players are a plague

sombra is in a terrible spot. People hate playing against her, and people hate playing with her. She simultaneously can make the enemy backline's life hell, while exerting no pressure on the map.

playing sombra into counters is just playing to get the enemy teams attention, pretty much a worse version of ball, i don't like this iteration of sombra either :/

I disagree with the Brig pick. As a Brig main it is insanely easy for a Sombra to just hack you out of shield and virus you. Sombra can just play at a distance and kill Brig. Sure she is usually has her other supports help, but often Sombra can just kill Brig insanely quickly and then kill the other support. Love a character that counters every hero that is ability dependent.

17:47 Maybe a hot take but I think switching to sombra to counter sombra might be a something, like if they got a good sombra, like she's always in your backline killing your supports it might be lowkey pretty good to just stay in stealth around your supports to peel for them. I tend to do this when I get diffed by an enemy sombra, like I'm there waiting with my hack hand out and insta hack her when she gets out of stealth. Then you're in a 2v1 so it's pretty easy to kill her and Igo get your sombra work done while she's dead. I managed to force some way better players than me by doing this. I feel kinda bad cause I'm preventing them from playing, but I'm a sombra main, I like being bad, it makes me happy (+ I can play other characters if I don't want to be petty lmao) And the soldier one I'm mixed, like most of the time I manage to kill them fairly easily 'cause they have a pretty large hitbox, but if I have a bad aim day I just absolutely can't do shit to them xD
