You are right about the issues in Africa, just with slavery, it was the Africans selling there own people into slavery. Its a corruption issues, a lack of human rights ... Which is why everyone tries to get to either the UK or France or the US

The most surprising thing for me is that white women were a kind of special target for slavery... Of all I knew, there were never a special target placed on woman of any color... Primarily because it doesn't make sense to target and enslave women instead of men (unless its not for work if you know what I mean, because, biologicaly wise, men can work harder and harsher)... PS.: I know that theres a whole set of works that women do better than men, and I would like to not put this in discussion here, just because most of those were not a thing in those times... It was post slavery that women started to get proper jobs and those in where they do better than men.

This video contains a lot of misinformation. Most slaves that Berber pirates took were European, not 'mainly' American sailors. Also, the American Civil War was not about slaves but the expansion (and thus power) of the southern slave states. It was a political and economic issue. And it was the British that started to ban slave trade. This was also for political and economic reasons. With a blockade of the Atlantic slave trade the British colonies (that wanted independence) would be effected as it had an industry that did lean heavy on use of slaves.

The number of people that have no idea that slavery was not invented by the evil white men in America is ridiculous. Slavery has been around throughout history and all skin colors have been slaves, including white. Widespread slavery was actually stopped by the evil white men in America and Europe though even right now today, black people are sold into slavery by other black people in Africa.

I've seen this docu many times now, but I will watch it again just to see the faces of people that were not told this history. Nobody in the America's gets told where the word "Slave" came from. I have Irish genes, and if you wonder why there are so many Irish in America, watch "the Irish slave trade". Half of the Irish population was enslaved and sold to America before anybody had ever seen an Afrikan an far before that. I have friends from Suriname an Guinea that were told only black people were slaves. Candice Owens did a good speetch about white people didn't invent slavery, they ended it and there is only slavery today in non-white countries, sad but true.

The word SLAVE comes from the slavs a white group of Eastern and South Eastern European origin from Greece in the south to the Baltic states in the North, it was mainly North-Africans and Muslims who took women, girls and boys as sex slaves because they fought white people were the most beautiful of the races, it began way earlier than the Sub-Sharan slave trade and continues for much longer under much more horrific circumstances too. Another slave trade that is not spoken about is at the same time as the white people were enslaved arabs and Muslims also took Sub-Saharan Africans as slaves as the work force it started also much earlier than the American slave trade and both these markets stills goes on today not so much white but still some but the black slave trade is still alive and kicking by Muslims/Islamic people and Arabs but they "recently" also have been enslaving East-Asians since the white slave trade is thinning out. The Greeks for example were enslaved for over 1000 years you do not hear anything about Arabs, Muslims /North-Africans should pay reparations for that. 80% of the Greeks were wiped out when the country became free, but the Greeks should just shut up for they are white-ish still it is the people in Europe with most African DNA long before they were enslaved. The sad thing is that so so many just think it was black Africans that were enslaved, the question we all must face today why do we let the Islamic world continue with this practice of enslaving Asians, whites, blacks, Jews and many others maybe we should do something about this practice that Muslims/Islamists refuse to give up, instead of blaming white people for everything bad.
