Wow! That is a lot of great info and I will definitely have to practice a lot before attempting this but it also sounds like a lot of fun as well. I cannot wait to get this going. I am definitely a lot more comfortable with a dexxer but always seems like the PKs that do the most damage to us are mages. I am thinking of either trying the archer mage or maybe a poison mage that another person recommended. The Outlands Wiki mostly has PvM templates or very basic PvP templates. Is there another source for PvP templates by chance?

Would you recommend more of a pure mage template?

Does wrestling actually do anything for the template?

There is, in the main ServUO folder you will see a folder called backups. In there, there is a folder called automatic and it has 3 folders. I it will overwrite them but you can edit the AutoSave.cs in the config folder to learn about how it is set up and then make changes if you wish to.

Thank you! The reds have gotten my backstabber a couple of times but more times than not they run by me. I am guessing there is less competition for chests and spawns when the reds are out?

That looks like a fun template, might give that a try sometime. I am looking forward to not having to sneak around all the time. I will be working my codexes up asap!

I know there are some parts that do like the smoke bomb cooldown timer but not sure how to raise it without adding stealing for a while and having to steal from mobs

@@xenokronwicked that's exactly what you have to do. but it's great for that cooldown and for the reduced mob aggro

No one truly leaves UO, they always find a way back :)

I go there sometimes but prefer more gold and xp most of the time. When it does get overly red in dungeons, I go to the overland stuff or sanctuary dungeon :)

It is hard not too, but definitely take it with a grain of salt. Some people have been GRINDING for multiple years you’re doing great for 3 months. Just surround yourself with a good group that will push and help you, and you’ll be there in no time! Monks progress slow but are great solo farming builds! Also, wilderness farming in wildlands is huge now for profit!

I am going to chalk that up as a whiny moment for me. I have been paying more attention to making sure I am using my chiv spells when I have extra holy discs and I have noticed that I rarely die on boss runs anymore. I just need to remember I am newer than the others so not as advanced but I am so competitive it is difficult to remember sometimes lol

I tried swords and switched back, but to be fair, I did not work the codex too far. I have been contemplating macing or fencing. It also may be just not enough links or the right ones. I am not sure if I should stay the course to tier 15, change weapon skill, or change aspect.

@@xenokronwicked I tried a bit of macing on the test server, it didnt blow me away. I'm gonna test earth and air aspect with wrestling

I am going to take discipline to 15 and will swap weapon skills once I max my wrestling codex which will only be about a month I think. The next weapon I think I will try will be fencing.

I know I can stay alive longer for sure but not sure how much of that is aspect or healing codex

Focus is at 100. When running solo I just use normal or shadow due to reds as seen in the video

@@xenokronwicked try to use avarhide or vanquish item id give a boost of damage to Magic weapons. Try to put 40 of item identification skill

I only use magic or higher end weapons when in a group and less likely to lose it to a group of reds. Very few solo reds running around anymore. I am usually killed by groups of 3 or more just like the end of this video.

@@xenokronwicked i know. Another thing you can do for more damage is try out fire ou mad aspect and remember Botan is always in solo red runs. 🫡

I have heard good things about void but not sure if it will benefit wrestling or if I will need to change weapon skill too

@@xenokronwicked Void will have the same benefit for you as Wrestling as it will for others, in fact, if you are stance switching, void will have more benefit.

Whatever. people like to complain. First the video is 11 minutes and by min 3 I was onto downloading the emulator. It does not say anywhere that it is a tutorial so HTFU!

Would just be nice to say "Hey I'm going to talk about Eve online and other stuff for around 5 minutes so if you want to jump right to setting up a server jump a head five minute". That's not a lot to ask is it? And this first video only talks about two minor setups. Wouldn't it have been easier to just save 5 minutes of time and use that toward getting the server up and going? Again, not hating your video, just not understanding why so little information regarding getting help for setting up a server. Now telling someone "HTFU" is hate. Should I just have posted something like "Horrible video. STFU and get on with it!". Now that would be hate. And on my part I will admit my wrong by saying it was a half hour into the video before you started talking about how to set things up. If no one comments or says anything how can you ever improve your videos? Telling someone to "HTFU" doesn't help gain you subscribers. I would have probably subscribed if not for that comment. So if your going to be sore hearted about it then go tell everyone to "HTFU" who has some criticism or even "kind" criticism toward improving videos.

This was never listed as an instructional or tutorial video. It was me going through and setting it up for the first time. I decided I might as well make a video. I never once stated it was a tutorial or that I was trying to teach anyone how to set up a server. I was documenting me setting one up so it would have been pointless to skip that in the video. I am not going to please everyone and that's okay. I also have the right to respond to negative criticism when it is not correct. It was not a tutorial and never advertised as one and I could not have talked for 30 minutes on a 11 minute video. It was 7 days before I responded so you saying you would have subscribed was not true as well. So, yeah, I am going to call you out. You are the only person I have responded to with HTFU and I stand by that. It was not hate, your response was whiny about me talking about my past when you could have closed it out at any time. Harden up means just that, don't be soft and whine. You could have simply left a message asking for a true tutorial. You could have also just reached out to me on discord like a few others have asking for assistance which I happily gave them.

On the weekends, it will always be busy with both blues and reds. I def play more groups on the weekends than I do solo.

If not for reds, the gold you earn would have less value. Going into a dungeon and pulling out loot without getting killed makes for more sense of accomplishment for me at least.

That is UO and any multiplayer game in a nutshell. Some PKs suck and only attack low level characters in the low level areas of a dungeon. My backstabber got ganked last night by 3 in Oss where they used tracking to get me. I have gone in and out of dungeons and probably cleared 400k in gold and another 10-15 cores plus other stuff and lost 12k and a few arcane scrolls the 2 times I have died on him. WoW has people at high levels cruising the low level areas. You have bullies in real life and in games. Some PKs are good and ignore the low level characters in levels 1 and 2 and only go for the better ones. Bottom line is that there are many other non-pvp servers as well. Choices can be made. Outlands is a good mix and while frustrating when you die, regearing is cheap and easy (in a guild anyways, if you aren't in a guild, join one) and you are on your way again.

Of course there is going to be a blue zerg at times. Has to be expected, but getting ganked solo by 4-6 reds sucks too. It evens out in the end. I do runs with my guild in groups but groups are not always available. In the end, I have made way more than I have lost. I am not complaining. I am telling people that Outlands is viable to play and progress if you play smart.

@@xenokronwicked i know. What i am saying is ways to advoid. A good tip is never pvm in a room whit only one exit. Ps: almost the time I do solo pk runs and blues prefer to run and do not help the another blue... Against groups of reds Just try to hide ir run tô the gate

So true, I have cleared WAY more than I have lost.

I don't seem to have good luck with pilfering. Even with all points in camo I seem to get revealed more than not. The gains seem to be the same as if I kill the mob as well.

I have had it happen a couple of times in a dungeon waiting on stealth but mostly in my house.

Glad it is not me, sometimes it happens within 30 seconds of logging in if I don't move right away. I am starting to think it is a stealth fix to save bandwidth or something with the huge influx of players with the expansion.

@@xenokronwicked Same, I figured it was some sort of bandwidth saving measure as well. But it isn't consistent, unless it is doing it as needed.

This happens to me all the time. I'll go run and get my kid a snack or change a channel on the TV super quick and I have to log out and back in.

Yes, I won a house. I upgraded to a mage tower when it was allowed. I got my monk to tier 11 and my mage tamer to tier 10. I have disco summoner to tier 7 and working on a backstabber as well. I am all over the place!

Sadly found out any razor action with a hotkey stops scripts and macros both. Oh well, there are worse things. I have made a few changes that seem to be working better.

Stealth to 120 is on the template. I will have to make some changes because I do not have stealing or snooping on there yet.

oh I remember I used to go in the tunnel that goes under Urk that pops up in the room with the blood ogre mage, the boss room and just outside could be good as well

Ossuary is decent as well, things like skeletons and lots of doors and corners on level 1

Yeah it was another macro that was causing it to stop and I did not know that it would reveal me :(

you can heal before you hide, the heal will go off while hidden.

Yep, got things squared away now and running pretty smooth. Found out that popping a heal pot while hidden reveals me as well. I also realized that my shadow aspect heals me some while moving stealthed so will be dropping anat and heal for some mugging action!
