Hello friends. My name is Brad and I am passionate about looking for, digging up, and interpreting history. This channel will chronicle my finds, and I'll be sharing the fascinating history behind them. I have always been curious of the natural world, and I hope this channel spurs your curiosity as well. I believe history teaches us about ourselves and there is always something new to learn about life and the human spirit. Thanks for stopping by. Stay curious my friends!
*While passionate about history and digging, I acknowledge the controversies and ethical concerns of digging up the past. I respect the people who were here before us and hope to do my best to respectful and considerate of others.*

Awesome save ,
@@Blanco_e25 Thank you!
Very nice point , congratulations and thanks for sharing
Thanks Warren!!
Wow it’s pristine.
Nice save!!
@@Im_nobody_special Thank you!
That's a cool looking point!🏹
@@thearrowheadreapers8668 Thank you. I like how polished it is!
Beautiful point. Great find!!!👍👍
@@Istc_outdoors Many thanks!
Now that's a sweet point. 👍👍 Is it ground on the base?
@@advisingconsumer599 It is not ground though I do have one that is similar shaped that does have a heavily ground base
That’s sweet , if I could frame it like that I would
I’m always amazed that these delicate looking artifacts have existed mostly intact beneath our feet all these years. Thanks for sharing this beauty!
@@SavageRockHunter Many people came before us for a very long time.
Even with the nick it's a beauty!
@@flinteastwood7179 Thank you! I agree!
Beautiful piece! 👍👍
Definitely a useful tool in its time
That’s awesome man , that’s rare around here . Very cool
@@warrenmink2429 It’s pretty common to find it here. I still enjoy collecting a few pieces especially the ones with nice colors and crystallizations!
Wood can become fossilized in as little as 10 ten thousand years
Good to know! I always thought it took millions. 😂
@curious_archeology So did I..
Amen.
Beautiful saves🎉
That is beautiful! I have never seen one with such a long stem.
@@normaferro8054 TY Norma! Me either!
Neat artifacts! It’s always a happy day when you can bring home treasures like that.🎉
Awesome stemmed point
@@TheCreekHuntsmen Thank you :) I am happy to have found it!!
isn't digging like that on public land illegal?
@@standingbear998 Hi Standing Bear. The land I dig on is private property. Digging on public land in TX IS illegal.
Nice point man, I know that felt good. Good luck out there!
Yes it did! Thank you
great!
Did you say Evant or Evans points?
@@closertohome-b7m I believe in tx this shape falls under Evant is see an evans point that is double notched
@@curious_archeology I was looking in my Overstreet and could not find a Levant point??
@@closertohome-b7m it is the stone artifacts of Texas Indians books
@@curious_archeology Yes...texas has many different points Thanks
@@closertohome-b7m you are welcome
How do you find all these good spots to dig at?
This is all o e site in central TX. Know your states laws and get envolved with the local artifact community!
those flint things are like the massive rotting cities, layers of crumbling plastic detritus and billions of cars left abandoned everywhere, of the past. humans literally can't help pumping out a st t ton of their crappy artefacts for their descendants to enjoy.
Hammerstein as well as a bearing stone For breaking flints, for bearing down drills and friction sticks to create 🔥
Nice rock
@@russelllayne8908 Thank you Russell!!
That's a beauty
❤
Whoa , what a killer surface save ! Congratulations, great job .
@@warrenmink2429 Thanks Warren! It was a rush when I first glimpsed at it!
Looking good👍🏻
@@rockhunter6260 Thank you
I absolutely love those long stem points. 👍👍
@@advisingconsumer599 Me too! And for the record, I’m not 100% sure it’s an Andice. I posted it on FB and received many different opinions on this artifact. I just happened to have made the video before reviewing others inputs and opinions. It is a study piece at the least!
Great finds. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Grasshopper!
Looks to be a Hell Gap lancelot @@curious_archeology
Incredible finds!! Nice milling stone and great point. I also like the flake tools because they're very specific to the individual crafter. Awesome stuff!
Thank you!
Excellent find!!!👏👏👏
@@Istc_outdoors Thank you sir!
Neat Arrowhead. I need to find friends like yours!😅
I’d guess a somewhat multi-tool handblade. When I am making smaller tools for working antler and wood, I like to leave a patch of coretex as a grip for my thumb so I can really wrench in to carve out needles and hooks. They look very similar to this. The beak shape to the tip almost makes me suspect is was used as a burin. Beautiful find, I’m envious of the material quality alone.
Great info! Thanks Mac!! Can you provide a little more info for “used as a burin”? I’m guessing the break was intentional?
Wow , gem 💎
Congratulations bud , keep up the good work
Thanks, will do!
What critter was kicking the dirt out of that small hole?
@@flinteastwood7179 Either a frog or small gopher. I make sure not to harm them and leave them be.
@curious_archeology what a fabulous discovery!
Beautiful!
@@andyamysarizonaadventures5450 Thank you!!
Beautiful point ! Congratulations
@@warrenmink2429 TY! This is a well made dart point.
These are just as exciting to find as any projectile point to me. Thanks for sharing.😮
@@EricWest-c3f I agree, they are just as important.
Maybe worked down zorra?
@@JacobCarwile-d3x I didn’t think of Zorra but that’s another possibility! Thanks Jacob. Good luck today! Y’all find something good
Cool stuff, new subscribers
@@andyamysarizonaadventures5450 Thank you!
Totally awesome blade on BET was part of a chalky nodule
Wow!!! I found one almost identical to this late last summer on a job site. Same material. In Bloomington Indiana. Thanks for sharing.
@@EricWest-c3f Really cool info! Thanks for sharing.
Unknown type?? I can solve this for you… it’s Native American. 😂…just glad I could help 👍🏼👍🏼
Universal tool, of course. 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
