I have been playing this game since its beta and i have got to say that duels has been a shitshow back then too, the people you will meet there will be the most obnoxious and annoying players you will find, from ppl who run the clock as soon as they get a point advantage, to characters camping in one spot of the map, and marksman players being the bane of everyone's existance

good to see theres at least someone out there who still enjoyes this game lol. i was a day 1 loyal player but especially after they added enchantments my enjoyment really took a nosedive and i havent kept since javert released. i cant speak of the new/current player experience, i imagine the gameplay hasnt gotten less good or fun, but everything surrounding it just stops feeling good after a while

notefor the grey buff for kinsetic, i believe it also gives you better height when jumping with the glaive and air game is better

I mained insect glaive my whole mhw playthrough and I was really stingy on armors and weapons so id beat every monster with 5 minutes remaining

Kinsect glaive main here- getting all 3 buffs also makes you unable to get knocked back while doing air attacks and you have to get juice 5x less often on rise than on world.

As a Lance main, you lost me at no defense options

I think it's worth mentioning that the game isn't quite finished, and the story will be one of the last things to get an update apparently.

3:42 for me it sounds more like funny metaphor of Terraria being from (uncreative) childish people, and Minecraft for (creative) mature people :P (no hate for Terraria players, everyone can like pretty much whatever he/she wants... even though I would never understanding them liking Terraria even closely as much as Minecraft not to mention more). Also... well I would say that being 2D instead of 3D is even (much) more limiting than fact of having this streamlined progression. And beating ender dragon is a sidequest at best. Or really just barrier to get to shulkers/elytra more comfortably and leave the End. Nothing in Minecraft is a goal - well not more than you make it a goal yourself. Because that what true sandbox is really about: setting own goals and find most enjoyable way to reach them. (So yest, I don't consider Terraria a true sandbox). That also includes achievements of course. Self-made goals are pretty much always more fun to do and give more feel like some achievement. You can even make Your own rewards for them, after all Minecraft is about setting Your own rules (though it should be way flexible about it... I would enjoy the most if I could just turn on creative-like flying, being on peacefull mode (yeah I don't really enjoy minecraft combat part like... at all. It's pretty much just annoying detraction from real core of the game) BUT have hunger active, and have villagers being able to work on farm but creeper explosions not destroying terrain... but I can't really do that in vanilla) - like for example when making Your own village You can spawn one per home. I think good home deserves inhabitant after all.

I just checked Steam charts. So, Warfeame sits at a comfortable 50k-ish players at any given time. TFD launched to 230k players, but, in the weeks since launch, has diminished to 70k players, and is still on a downward trend. There absolutely exists spqce in this genre for good healthy competition. And TFD has differentiated itself from WF or D2 through being very fan service laiden.

speedrunning is actually the reason i quit, it had come after i had really gotten into the game, built several megabases and insane farms in a few worlds and turned to speedrunning to keep it interesting. however, after i beat the game in under 30 minutes several times (my personal best was 21 36) i kind of lost interest in the game. it took the last aspect that was challenging, conquering the game, and made it extremely easy. and as much as i like creative freedom it just wasnt something i could share with anyone because of my lack of wifi as a kid. so eventually not having rules became boring i guess

maybe if you changed that stupid ass lil character u got going on your video would get pushed out to the algorithm

nope, at least not in this state. It needs a lot of qol improvements and trading at least is a bare minimum, that alone will elevate it a ton

Another tip, just to be fancy maybe or stylish, once your kinsect made enough of dusts on the air, shoot a flashbug, and every dust in the air will explode, I call this Flash Dusts!

The First Descendant lacks the most important things Warframe has... matchmaking, pretty much everything in Warframe can be done using matchmaking while in the First descendant you have to go to the mission on an instance map and hope there are other players already there or will show up. And without trading getting certain things ingame is a pain, especially if you can't find or create a party to do the missions to farm the item because of the lack of matchmaking or lfg system ingame. You'll get all these parts before you get the actually part you spent hours farming for and if there was trading maybe you could trade like in warframe to get the items from other players.

I feel like this argument of Pay to win in a game that you play for the grind is such garbage. You pay to skip, and in a game where the part you skip is the gameplay which is the main factor of the game, you are paying to loose. So it´s pay 2 Loose. Especially for warframe, you can´t even buy the most valuable upgrades with Platinum, and that which you can, you can Trade to get it from others. Really this argument is just old and a weak criticism. especially when the game is free, like it´s amazing how greedy some people are, complaining that Characters are hard to get, and if so cost 10 bucks, while the game itself is the base of a 60 dollar game, while the last 60 AAA games we got, were about 5 years ago. Since everything new is just reused, Virtue signaling garbage, or from fromsoftware. Warframe deserves criticism, but if you never pay a dime, and only play the main quest, there is barely anything wrong with it. You can make the argument of lack of information, incoherence that drags the story, but honestly if you payed attention it´s just a good game for it´s age. And they get better each year, my only wish is that they´d bring the content from 6 years ago to the level of polish they do the past 4 years.

When Final Shape released in June for Destiny, they created a pack that includes all older dlc into a pack that's MUCH cheaper than buying them separately. And at one point, they made it like $30 for everything, but it's back to $60 now, I believe. And tbf all you really need as a new player is Final Shape as it's the newest and most relevant content. And if they like everything there and finish up the expansion, they can go back and get the older stuff later, though the current Episodes should give enough for them to do unless they start playing as a real hardcore player.

They actually had to change a ton of icons in the game that were ripped exactly from or changed very slightly from Destiny icons.

My personal opinion, but The First Descendant has got to be one of the most soulless and mediocre-looking game I've seen for a long time, it's kind of a common thing with a lot of these Asian-made games, it's got that exact aesthetics with all the flashy and over-the-top graphics and over-detailed models...like for the sake of being over-the-top and that's it. Coomer-bait character designs, etc.... yada yada yada. I dunno about the gameplay cuz I haven't played but in terms of aesthetics and art-direction, I don't think it'll outlast Warframe or Destiny. Looking at The First Descendant I'm not even sure what the game's trying to be...it's like they're trying to cram in as much "cool things" into the game as possible. It's like Once Awake, where it's supposed to be this "gritty eldritch survivor horror" but you BARELY get that vibe with all the clashing aesthetics and obvious "inspirations" from other games.
