I was friends with Kevin back in the 90's. In my most humble and honest opinion. I heard many negative things about him. But I can honestly say, I have been around him when he was handling out food to homeless people. I have stood in the Jack Murphy parking lot when he handed out signed baseballs and bats to Padre and Giants fans. I have seen him sign autographs for people. The Year he won the NL MVP, he worked out with me in the gym and prepared his body for baseball success. We worked 5 days a week, lifting weights and conditioning and he was a dedicated, hard worker. Before I met him, I had heard all the negative stories. But as a man and as a friend, I can honestly say he was a "Good Guy" he always conducted himself like a gentleman. I see him every now and then and all I can say is that he is a nice person. He is always trying to help young men develop their baseball skills and he is very down to earth.
