PSA: Use caution when swinging hammers against hardened materials.
Friend was doing some undercarriage work on a small excavator and trying to beat something back into place when a chip broke off and punctured his leg.
Always make sure to wear proper PPE when using hammers and extra caution when striking hardened components.

Removing Injector Return Line Clips on Ford 6.7L Powerstroke
มุมมอง 60K3 ปีที่แล้ว
While working on a Ford F-350, 6.7 PowerStroke diesel, the injector return lines were not coming off easily. I couldn’t find any simple to follow information online to remove them, so I threw this video together to help someone else in a similar situation. Make sure to use lots of lube on reassembly. I managed to cut one of the small o-rings during reinstallation causing a fuel leak and then ha...

OFF-HIGHWAY LOAD IN NANAIMO LAKES

T880 hauling full length logs to the log sort. There wasn’t a lot of room for the processor to work in the landing so they hauled the wood full length to a sort before the public roads where they were then processed into mill spec lengths. The tops dragging on the ground posed a bit of a problem and more than once a truck came into the sort with the tops on fire.

Inspecting and resetting a EATON SOLO self adjusting clutch. This unit has a hydraulic clutch and requires no gap between the release forks and bearing, on units with mechanical linkage you should be looking for aprx. 1/8" gap which should be there if you have the correct free play on your pedal in the cab. this truck came in with a compliant of not having free play on the clutch pedal, from wh...
Cummins 870 with aerated return fuel. WHY!!!

Had a truck in the shop a little while ago with a complaint of a hard start and intermittent low power, and ended up hooking a clear line on the return fuel and was pretty shocked at how aerated the fuel was coming out of the engine. we replaced the injectors on the truck, removing them the o-rings looked good not likely leaking, and installed new injectors with new o-rings and there was no cha...

still my favorite snowrunner truck, especially early game. if you know the route and go prepared you can get it in as little as 1hour. makes doing any small truck rescue mission in any region up to amur a complete non issue. ironically its not particularly great at logging since there are faster early game trucks at your disposal like the white western star.

About 15 to 20 years ago a dumb kid in the shop I used to work for was using a metal chop saw to cut some steel rods when the disk exploded. Shrapnel went everywhere. By some miracle the kid was unharmed but both the boss and I caught pieces of the disk. Boss caught a 4in shard in the crotch half an inch to the left of his dick while I caught a shard in the left shoulder. Boss nearly bled out on the way to the hospital. They managed to remove most of the bit from my shoulder but I've still got some very tiny fragments in the joint. Think grains of sand. After this accident the boss got all of us up to date safety gear and made sure the tool stations had cages around them so that should one fail at worst only the operator gets hurt. I know someone is going to ask this, yes they saved my boss's dick and according to his wife its still able to do the job.
