Holy cow is that the regional champion, springfest chamipion, world championship qualifier Juan on his own channel
I feel like the mono player should have just left the Vm with 1hp and just hard play mono get few bodies on board and swung for 5 Since he had alpha drive line up for next turn and ways to clear the ward
I'm still shocked some people think sword isn't that good. Deck has to be BDIF.
The deck is SOOO strong. It’s got power, consistency, defense, strong removal options - definitely top tier imo
@@Shadowversus @BurnOneSVE I think it's because of the playstyle of the deck. As a sword main who desperately tried to like this deck, every game with this deck boiled down to "does my opponent draw removal." None of the sword units are particularly robust (with both viridia evo and bayleon evo sitting at 4 hp) and most removal in the meta can do 4 damage. Like this match showcase, every win has been b/c my opponent couldn't find the out. I do think natura sword is strong, but personally don't like it b/c the win condition went from "pray my topdecks are good" to "pray my opponent's topdecks are bad."
sword player didn't win. he survived. rune had that if he played turn 6 differently
Barely escaped with my life
If veridia wasn't so expensive id think about playing this deck
The other popular option this set is Mono Abyss, which requires 3x technolords (currently at ~$30ish on tcg) and 3x playsets of mono base + evo (around $7 and $10 respectively). So about the same price honestly. For reference, at this time viridia base is ~$15 and evo is a little under $30.
Absolutely keep it slowed down..! A few uploads ago you had one that was too sped for my liking. Didnt even watch it to the end. I chill wathcing you, watch the games, and its entertaining to hear you talk :) What are you using for recording the games at your local? Have been wondering if I should try and get some recorded, but would be a lot more confident in trying it if I had some pointers on what it takes :) Also, it's AWESOME that you do a life counter!
@@TheRealThirdME thanks for the feedback! I think eventually I will host my own tournaments locally and stream them for the community to watch with me. Definitely a goal for early next year

@@Shadowversusevery other game it's in my early mills ruining my grave ratios
Music is definitely louder than i intended it to be in this one 😂 hope you all still enjoy!
I felt the sword player's pain at the end. As a sword main, I think Natura sword feels like the weakest midrange sword deck *relative to the current set*. - The biggest weakness is that it lacks the reach to close games out past turns 7-8 whereas sword had leonidas and narita brian in sets 2-3 to get it over the finish line. - It does not have any efficient board clears like Alexander like in set 2. Most midranged decks have some form of wide board removal. Sword has... cyclone blade. - It lacks explosive turns like the turn 3-4 floral fencer evo, turn 3 heroic entry and turn 6 valiant fencer in set 3, or the turn 6 courtly dance in set 6. - It's main win condition is storm, which is hard countered by wards (coughfuckgintetsu) and heals, the latter of which is more abundant than ever this set. Natura sword runs out of gas by turns 7-8 and heavily relies on top-deck storms to win while praying the opponent doesn't have the out. It feels like it wants to be an aggro deck but is held back by the midranged archtype that requires you to give up pressure turns 1-3 in exchange for setting up value oriented plays turns 4-6. Whereas other classes have cards that go plus, most natura sword cards are very one for one. Overall, natura sword feels like a very fair deck in an unfair meta.
Damn lets go jorge!
I wasn't a big fan of Natura Forest and I've been waiting for an excuse to use Cosmo Fang for something and well turns out Fable Forest is exactly the place for it. A few test games later now I prefer Fable Forest to Pixie as well.
@@elin111 it’s definitely a deck that deserves some respect - B&B gets big FAST
@@Shadowversus The big problem that made Cosmo Fang so awkward was that she didn't have any good targets to search from deck (Those plushies they gave her back in Set 3 moronically need to evolve when Cosmo Fang bounces them TO evolve 🤦♀), now Chesire Cat is THE perfect target for Cosmo Fang and also bridges her into actually having good synergy with the rest of the Fables too.
im glad there are people out there that realize machina rune can put in work. how about natura dragon or natura forest next?
@@Solus_Fenryr both of those are definitely coming!
Yo lets go more to watch at work
Pixie feels a lot less annoying to play now that there's Cynthia so the deck isn't "Find Amataz or die"
machina ward next? or Machine haven/Natura sword
Can look into that 😉
want to point out that mistolina's effect of buffing herself is not once per turn. sword guy could have ended the game by playing a tree in ex using the buff twice and swinging for game.
Love the commentary, would be helpful for new players is maybe also having an image of what cards are being played up on the screen for maybe 2 seconds? I know for me im a visual learner but don't always know what's being played half the time 😅
Thanks for the feedback!
I second this VERY HEAVILY

the 1c is disciple of lust 4c is Apostle of silence, vania is pay 1 sac a bat deal 3 to an enemy follower and burn opponent for 1, ginsetsu didn't matter on swing the disciple kills him if he did that. glad to see more sve content homie
Yeah about time
Hoping to see more content again soon, just started the game and really enjoy the gameplay
At the 17 minute mark, if im not mistaken you flash back Truth's Adjutant? It seemed you only did the 3 damage. If you have 2 merlins on board, thats 2 mages, which let you pick 2 options on the card. He had no followers to hit, but could have drawn 2, unless there was a fear of deck out. But i could have missed something.
definitely missed that if so, good catch!
Any tips for dragon players for how to play against kuon? I always seem to have a tough time against Kuon :(
I actually think Jorge's list in this video is on the right path for this meta. Big heals and strong removals seems the way to go. You also can probably comfortably activate Dragonic Fervor more often than not.
@@Shadowversusoh really? Is it possible to see the deck list? 🙂
@@ninjaraccoon9914 Jorge thinks it is 7B3G8. he is often playing more than 40 cards
@@Shadowversusi couldnt find anything. But its ok no worries 🙂
@@ninjaraccoon9914 Dragon inherently being a late game deck gives Kuon time to set up. Kuon typically has a harder time against more Aggro decks that either kill it quick or force it to commit more plays to slow down the aggro which in turn makes it harder for them to set up comfortably.
Your confusion was correct; the fairy dancer that buffs the backrow fairies isn't actually a crystalia follower, it's just a pixie follower. Lily can grab crystalia OR pixie followers, which is why she can grab it~
Pixie Forest has to be the fastest I've gone from "super hyped" to "I think I'll try something else". Pixie is way too piece reliant but is nowhere near consitent enough to get said pieces reliably not to mention it is so ridiculously over-dependent on Amataz that if you don't see it well Game Over. Even Spinaria who is supposed to get you to your pieces, is piece reliant herself.
Agreed!
@@Shadowversus Pixie Forest very much feels like a "When it works" kind of deck. When it works the thing works like a charm.... when it works that is. It also has some pretty bad matchups when playing against non-Kuon decks. Aggro decks steamroll you long before you can get the full setup and don't have enough control to manage big boards, and Wards pretty much shutdown the big play. For real I've had a single Bellringer make my planned kill turn fail more than once.
And yet it's the one deck that kept placing from starter decks till Vampires started doing the aggro tokens thing better in BP9.
Hmm, i always thought you could only use a quick after they hit you, but you can do it as they attack you?
@@Maikeru305 when they declare an attack and at the end phase!
@@Shadowversus i would have won more games 🥲😂 thank you for the clarification. Great match
Lily is strong in this deck because being able to grab pixies is insane in this deck
She also sends Amataz to the bottom of deck a lot which is a death sentence.
Kuon is pretty busted imo with that dimension shift :/ unfortunately. And deck strength gap is really big
Well, that was pretty one sided!!
Yeah, lol. Drew a bunch of my early game cards, but not a ton of hand ripping or late game cards unfortunately.
I don't think Kuon is that strong. In my experience, it loses to sword but that's a natural prey. Kuon loses to Ginsetsu or Eachtar.
Kuon dominates sword and easily beats Yokai/Eachtar though. It has a ton of early and midgame removal and has access to good board clears this set.
Appreciate the great content again bro! I actually had a little idea for you, if you’re interested. Since you only use the SVE Sidekick app to display the player’s health points, you can crop the app and then use that extra real estate below the app to display the cards that are currently being played. I understand that you’re already narrating what cards are being played, but I think some newer SVE players are more visually focused on what’s happening on the screen. I know it’s a little extra to do on the editing side, but it’s just an idea that I think would add a bit more value to your already solid content. Sorry for the essay 😂 - TASTY
That rune player sucks!
Wow! Total bummer at the end there… Good to that point though!!
rip. rimwind only target non evolved follower. misplay on kuon part. great video
