How Mobile Can You Go? TRANSPORTING THE CART.
Whenever I arrive at an event, the host says something like “Woah! How did you transport all of THAT in THIS car?!” Well, now I guess I can just share this video! 😹
A big piece to keeping this cart venture within reach was making sure it could all fit in the vehicle we already own. Buying a trailer seems like a must for many mobile coffee cart owners. But it doesn’t need to be! Yes, it’s a lot of work. However, by loading and unloading you get a chance to familiarize yourself with each piece and it forces you to really only take what is NECESSARY. This is supposed to be the most simple version of a mobile espresso setup. And using a minivan sure helps keep it simple.
I’ve come a long way. I used to need help with the sink and generator but now i can do it all solo.
Today I didn’t need my generator. When I do bring It, I remove one of the middle pilot seats and put the generator there. 💪🏻
Below is my packing list that I refer to for each and every event. I know when I first started, I scoured the internet to get some guidance on what I’d need. Hopefully this list helps someone else!
Let me know if i can answer any questions!

Hello! I plan on doing a setup similar to this. I am making a separate handwashing station/3bin sink setup due to health code regulation. Do I need the Flojet to connect to these or can I just fill the hot water heater and use it as a standalone system?

So for my coffee cart my water heater is only giving me lukewarm water instead of hot. Have you ever had an issue with this? And if so, how did you resolve it? I've called a ton of maintenance guy and the product company and no one seems to know how to fix it. My inspection was today and I had to cancel because of it so I'm trying to figure it out asap. Any input helps.

Great informative video! Just so people aren’t getting confused when they’re headed to buy materials, the clear hose is called vinyl hose, not PEX. The other 3/8” white hose that you have comes in white (or even clear-ish white) and is called polypropylene. You actually CAN connect the John Guest push connect fitting to true PEX quite easily- the adapter can be bought at Home Depot or Lowe’s. Unfortunately most employees at Lowe’s and Home Depot are just associates and have very basic knowledge of the department they work in.

I know it differs by location, but were you required to have a commissary? I'm researching the permits and paperwork required for a cart and like you mentioned, most info is regarding coffee trucks, so it's been a bit confusing as to what's actually required.

Hi Katey! Love your channel so far, thanks for sharing your journey! :) I'm opening my own coffee cart in Atlanta and have been doing hourssss of research on espresso machines. The GS3 and the Linea Mini come up consistently, but they're super pricey and I'm looking to keep the startup costs down so the Vivaldi II looks like an attractive option! How has it been working for in a commercial capacity given that it's technically a home use machine? What's the highest volume that you've been able to produce per hour? I appreciate your help!

Hey there! The Vivaldi does an awesome job! That’s the max I’ve served and I had to swap out my fresh water and grey water tank. I always bring two of each to an event. Besides that, if you’re plugged into the host’s electrical the machine can certainly handle it. I do think it’s probably the max for the machine, in my experience. I noticed during an event where lots of people asked for tea and americanos, I was using the hot water outlet a lot and that started to lose volume. So now I bring a carafe of super hot water to supplement!
