Hi Dan,, i have a kangoo 1.6 Expression 06 plate petrol automatic. When turning the key, the car sometimes has a blank spot at the first rotation of the starter . It starts fine but every 4th 5th time i start the car this pause/ blank spot kicks in.. its like a hiccup before it fires up lol.. im thinking crank or cam sensor could be at fault. Iv had a guy put his code finder connected up but no faults were found at all.. the car has just done 100,000 and runs ok the battery/ alternator are ok but, this is niggling me ..
Sounds like the starter or maybe the ring gear on the fly wheel it’s hard for me to say
Fab detailed
Thank you Kevin 👍

(P0299) That Turbo is a huge problem for Mazda and they will mostly not admit it. It's not a Mazda Turbo though so it might be in more car brands. I had my wastegate flap fall of like that, go inside the Turbo and wreck havoc on the blades (on the smaller Turbo) and i needed a new Turbo. I'm surprised yours didn't loose more power with the blades like that, because mine were the same. But good news that its possible to weld and find the broken part. My Mazda dealer said the part would end there in the Intercooler. I asked if they would look for it when the put a new turbo in, but got some weird answers. I was so pissed of at the dealer i said i want the "broken" Turbo, you are not keeping it to sell it or fix it.
Yes luckily that turbo survived but like your one I have had to replace the turbo on other Mazda’s when that flap broke off important to find the broken parts of the turbo and get them out so not to cause more damage
@@deisediagnostics629 a broken part can damage the turbine ? it was never found after it broke down.
Hello, what diagnosis are you using in the video?
It was the Topdon phoenix pro scan tool I now have the Topdon phoenix smart
A stupid little fuse caused all that, gotta love those French electrics
Noice - have a customers Landcruiser Prado (a 90's one) in that was a barely cranks, no start & had been everywhere before it landed here last Sat off a recovery truck. 2 new batteries fitted (it has 2 batteries) - when jumped, it would start, barely, but ran like a ball.. When charged fully off a charger, it would go flat within 4 or 5 hours. Everyone baffled. We were asked to do a parasitic draw test & replace the alternator. Cool, I ordered up an alternator. Was looking at it with the other Lad, went in under, pulled the b******d of a starter off (they're a sod to remove on these) - it tested fine when off - put it back on. Zero parasitic draw with ignition off. Gave it another 2 coats of looking at. Ran it, tested to see were the batteries charging - battery 2 was charging nicely, 13.5V, battery 1 wasn't. Eh? That's odd. Pulled at more wires - and up pops the + lead off battery 1. Connected to nothing, shorting off the chassis, hidden down low. I connected it to the + on battery 2 (laziest solution) - bingo, spinning like Michael Collins in his grave. Starting mint. Still running like a ball. Ruff as a bears. Diagnosis : some wally didn't connect the lead off battery 1 to anything at the hidden end, it requires 2 batteries to spin & injector 3 is focked. Solution, connect battery 1 into the system & do the 4 injectors. That, somehow, baffled Irelands finest minds.. which is worrying as I'm pretty thick on the grand scale of things. Factors moaned at getting the alternator back. But that's to be expected. Not connecting the battery to anything kinda wasn't. We only ever get the stuff that has been everywhere else first - almost always. Dunno why.
It’s because you get the job done well done good find and fix there an interesting one mechanics are getting scarce now
Fantastic sir
Thank you sir 👍
great job alan . and when battery votlage drops amps increase fuses blow .so bad battery setting off other problems 🔵⚪🔵⚪ 🥎😪
Thank you Sam 👍
Hi,i been stressing about this problem all day and i come across your video. I am going to disconnect the camera in the morning. I will update you! Many thanks. Now i can sleep, thank you !!
Cool I hope it fixes it for you 🤞
@deisediagnostics629 it is fixed!!!! Thank you so much!!! You made a huge difference and made my day stress free and cost free. I took me less than 10 mins to disconnect the camera, which was already rusted. Many thanks !!!
Brilliant well done 👍
Could you cut the worn plastic ball from slave cylinder arm, make a thread inside plastic arm put diy steel ball?
You could go for it 👍
Hello, can you please tell me why my engine warning light is on with the exclamation mark, and the service key ,the car modrl is Peugeot expert 2018. Pleasse answer me.
Sorry man I have no idea
Very nice job, Alan.
Thanks Michael 👍
No bother to you Alan 💪💪💪
Another blocked vaporizer 😁3 in a short amount of time
Some tools Alan, once in a lifetime purchase 💪💪
Yes if I don’t leave them under a bonnet 😁
I have the same Snap On ratchet spanner’s very very useful they weren’t cheap £350 if I remember 3 years ago. My employer also has a set he has Brocken a couple which Snap On have replaced but the replacements do not have the box section on one side and without it they are not as good he’s thrown them back to him; coupled with the length it’s the box end that makes them so good.
Yes definitely need the box end Kevin and the snap on life time warranty is another reason why I bought these if one breaks they hand you over and new one no questions asked
Too much money. I have the Carlyle version of those ratcheting spanners with the box end. My ones are very light tho, would be interesting to compare them
That would be interesting to compare my ones seem top class now I have to say but OMG the price was a bit of a shocker 😬
@@deisediagnostics629 I think I paid about £150 sterling for the Carlyle set. Skips 11mm if I recall
Good value what you think of them pliers
@@deisediagnostics629 pliers are quality, very sturdy don't twist like ordinary long nosers
Very good 👍
I see the last commenter called you Desie 😂😂😂 good fix AL 💪💪
😂😂thanks dude 👍
Brilliant video and great skills. I would definitely want you to work on my car. 😊
Thank you and thanks for watching 👍
Is oil dumping a symtom of piston failure
They say injector failure and a software update solves the issue
I know this is an old video now. But just had to replace 3 & 4 glow plugs due to failure although changed all four. Like you I now have this code/issue and I’m wondering if undoing the sensor and turning it 90 degrees to access the intake bolt it’s damaged it or become dirty etc. now you showing the voltage of good vs bad I can test this on forscan. Thanks for the video and hopefully this is my easy fix 👍🏻
Thank you man glad the video was helpful 👍
@@deisediagnostics629 Sure enough forscan was showing it settled at 0.45v then 0.55v when running. Lucky enough a friend breaks and fixes transits and I managed to swap over an old one of his and straight away back to normal 😅 thanks again 👍🏻
Brilliant man good job 👍
It's similar to the pipe leading to the pressure sensor upstream the turbine on dci / Renault dacia engins. Congratulations on the craftsmanship.
Yes I have seen them pipes blocked too and the rubber pipes to split not easy to change on them Renaults
That is a problem pipe with all the Mazda sixes good fix desie
Thank you sir 👍
Wish I could have taken you Mazda 6 to you. I had this light coming up on my Mazda 6 2.2 sky active, took it to Mazda which was a nightmare. They said carbon build up in pipes. changed me over 3k to replace some pipes and other things and had the car for over a month. They said it was fixed. Ended up blowing the turbo apparently back pressure from the exhaust caused the failure.
Wow there is a lot of things that goes wrong with these Mazda’s we are seeing lots of them these days great car when they are running right
Where it can buy this
Toyota main dealership is where I got mine
Is that parts number same for 2007 auris uk? I would like to buy one myself for my auris. Garage cannot resolve. Replacing seems the best option. Where can i buy one in uk? Please send me a link if you could. Many thanks.
I don’t know man Toyota main dealership is where I got mine
Ok thanks
Slava Ukraini
That list of fault codes just what i have. spent £800 on new sensors and cam chain then find out it is probably a very small wire. Thank you.
Glad it helped you cheers 👍
You could have spent an hour looking for the fault and got nowhere, I will remember that one 👍
Yes Kevin that’s twice now same issue on a VW Caddy a while and a simple battery reset was the fix 👍
I’ll remember that one 👍
To verify if its ECU or a real short you can use your test light from battery + to the shorted 5v ref, if it lights up you have a sensor short revealing a real short to ground, if it doesn`t the ECU is at fault.
Very good 👍
Great Thank you, same problem on my i40. Fantastic video, very well explained, save me some cash definitely. All the best, will be following.👍👍👍
Cheers man thank you glad it helped 👍
Good, good thanks for the excellent video!
Thank you David 👍
Brilliant!
Thank you 👍
Thanks for the video No problem on the airbag then? Is this solution permanent?
Yep 100% fixed 👍
"Alan is going to fix it, lads." Yes, he is. Great job, Alan
😂😂thanks Michael 👍
Very interesting a great video.
Thank you Kevin had a Ford Kuga in today with the same issue blocked vaporizer 😀
I love you so much… my outlander was not accelerating and had engine light. I went and brought a cheap OBD2 reader and it had many error codes. Cleared them all and this one came back the second I went for a test drive. I cleaned the pipe and cleared the code and my car feels like it’s new again! It always felt sluggish, now it’s so fast to accelerate!
Brilliant well done man and thanks for watching glad I was helped 👍
Is there a way to either delete or bypass the EGR valve to prevent this nightmare ?
You could get it mapped out but I don’t think that’s a good idea better to keep things original
@@deisediagnostics629 ok, thank you sir
Hi there can you tell me the part number so it would be easy for me to buy 🙏🏻
Sorry I don’t have a part number it was a long time ago when I did that job I do know I got the part from the main dealership
It’s alright bud I appreciate ur help and sure i probably get in touch with them and ask them to sort it out thanks 🙏🏻
Howdy i have p15b3 code. Same behavior fault comes after car starts. What additive needs to be put into this tank? Cheers
Diesel additive or PATsfluid (not adblue)
th-cam.com/video/qindpGpvrUg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=a-5A01XsD7qSVWFI Thats mine, new 8mm and noise in could
Good job ! I have the same problem with a citroen Jumpy , How yo do with the p1163 i do the process but the code still here
I did have to swap over to the Autel scan tool and it was on the Autel that got me through that teach in process maybe you need to try a different scanner
lovely hurling as always alan .. what also could be the problem with these is lose pin connection or breal in the bcm . tipical poor french wiring type problems🥎⚾🔵⚪
Yes it was a strange one I don’t like them ones but it is still going strong 3 weeks since the video I reckon a battery reset would have done the trick too
Was the exhaust pressure pipe actually blocked and if so how did you clear it ?
If the exhaust pressure pipe is blocked we use heat and shop air to unblock it always works 👍
What was the fix
Petrol in it
5v ref code open when its short to ground , who writes the software for codes the new starter 🙃😄
😃👍
I’ve seen it a lot before on kangoo , traffic and master. Taking a lead of the battery and reconnect , is enough to wake up the uch, it a common problem
It’s a pity I didn’t try that first
INTERESTING VIDEO. COULD YOU TELL ME WHERE TO GET ONE OF THOSE SMALL SCOPES PLEASE. THANKS
AESwave is where I got the scope handy tool
@@deisediagnostics629 thanks
No bother to you Alan
