Conveyor Broken Bearing Replace On Jobsite
How much torque required to tighten the bolt ??
Not correct way to remove bearing
Very informative Thank you
It's a good practice if you steel brush or sand the shaft before pulling out the bearing.
Couple things here. 1. End of shaft is mushroomed. Meaning it will be alot harder to remove. You gotta sand down the end of the shaft before applying lube and pulling. 2. Shaft is shot. Needs replace.
He made the wrong assembly. He did not install the new bearing on the axis correctly. The bearing will break again in a short time or break the bearing opposite it. Making such a repair means doing it again in a short time. Double repair cost.
Thanks for this video, good job, no time wasting intro and straight to the point.
Mickey Mouse, that’s the wrong way😂
I think most of these comments comes from people who have never set their foot in the mining field 😂
Thanks Man
Explain what you're doing verbally. It would make the video better
Good job..is it alegator MR2..
The second item you tried removing with the puller is called a locking collar, its supposed to be loosened before its removed.
to me you are amateurs. the first sleeve must be knocked off. This bearing model is clamped with this bushing. the end of the shaft was beaten with a hammer, you can see it. and this shaft is damaged, lack of alignment, replacing the bearing will help for a while
Absolutely your correct if we go on proper fixing this bearing but for the situation depends in the time you need it must, so we go how just to run that conveyor asap. Thank you for your precious comment.
honestly, this is kinda subjective and all, but i spotted several things that should be done differently.
Yes you are correct. There are unnecessary need to fix on that bearing but because no available parts to use in that time so we're just fix it temporary permanent lol
Thank for the tip. I used a dremel to do the same thing. Sucks you can’t pull the hub since it’s a single sealed unit. Honda should have left a slot or clearance to pull the stud out.
You're correct I can pull that hub but need some part to remove. I did this for rush job for this old car lol. Thanks for your comment
Lock out safety?
Yes I was but ms to included in my video clip sorry. Next time I will promise. Thanks Buddy
Another OSHA idiot 😂 how the hell is he going to work on an energized mechine that can start up at any time plus some conveyors have local isolation , you just wanted to point out the overly safe comment that nobody ever needed 😂
By the way you cannot centralize the conveyor when it's not in motion 😂😂😂 your comment wasn't needed old man😂
are you guys ilocanos? lol
yep. I'm from Mt. Province from north😍
So the bearings don’t need washers?
Nope but its up to you if need so
What a hacker ! Damn man shim ? Nah grease? Nah cmon this is awful
Thanks for your comment made me aware on my jobs. Every jobs varies mostly from the book written to follow, that is basic, but we need to think in a situations where we at. We do sometimes modifying called by nature if we must need so. I'm happy to teach you in related into that job. Appreciated much thanks
Container loading varieties also for grains😂
Thank you Sir
Excelente!
Thank you Sir
Good job buddy👌
Thanks for the visit
Do you buy the alligator splices in bulk?? I can’t find them in bulk anywhere!
Did anyone use saftey padlocks to lock off the main power and isolate it?
yeah we call it lock out tag out
Yes sir, but I've showed only shutting off circuit breaker and not included LOTO in my video. Thank you for reminding me and hoping next not to forget LOTO include in my video. Thanks appreciated much.
and don't worry about locking off the power supply
I ms to include it in my videos
heat gun ffs
Lets just cut the shit out of the whole assembly and fix the stud, you sir are a piece of work .....
Looks good, not just basic but also advanced lol 😅
Thanks much
That shaft has wore.
Yes correct, Just want to run that machine asap for lots of farmers waiting to unload their product
I have never used fasteners like that just the flexco fasteners
Ye, flexco fastener is better for this kind of conveyor belt. Thanks for your comment
They probably have no many to remplace that pulley. And the other bearings!!
No available parts that time just modified to run it very badly
honda sure makes these difficult. An easy job and they don't provide the space it. I have the same issue, I'm going to have to grind that section
That is the easy way and maybe cheapest way lol Thanks Bro
Nice job only one thing I'll do differently is using a brass hammer.
Yes Buds, you can use any hammer as long as you are comfortable using it. Thanks
감사합니다 !! 회사에서 베어링이 가끔 고장나서 교체를 해야하는데 하는 방법을 몰라 혼났었는데 덕분에 배웠습니다 !
Thank you Sir

First time working on Bearings?????? th-cam.com/video/pWhSAr3Ii1A/w-d-xo.html
Informative 😮
Thanks appreciated
Dude even my lazy eyed cousin can see the shaft is worn or you have wrong size bearing or collar forcyhe bearing lol Better luck next time I guess
Yes you're correct. Shaft was worn out and because we need to run that machine and their was no available roller that time so, nothing else we can do just to made it like that lol
How to remove stuck up shafting of drive roller?
use penetrating fluid if doesn't work torch it or else otherwise cut worn-out bearing
I want to do this for my Honda I only payed $300 for it and I need to get my winter tires on before it’s to late 😂
Don't let winter chase you, do it while still behind you
Hoping there was LOTOTO after power was shut off
LOTO is must before start your job. I ms to include it in my video lol. Thanks for reminding me Bro
@@jambasicskills1970 worked maintenance at Michelin and LOTOTO was a Cardinal Rule... fail to do it and get caught... you were marched to gate and terminated on the spot... like wearing arc-flash jacket with open electrical cabinets with 480VAC 3ph power
Good job Bro 👏
Informative Buds
He forgot to grease the new bearing.
And also forgot to put his personal lock on the disconnect.
Yes Buddy. I ms to show in my video about installing LOTO before starting the project. Thanks for reminding me appreciated.
F**d the job
Sabagay may point kayo. May inukit o desenyong pwedi itulak palabas dun.
Informative Buddy😊
Glad you liked it
The vibration gonna be Willy Nelson high now
Maybe your right buddy but as this time it is still properly working lol
Awesome Buddy😮
duh.
Next time use a soft face hammer to drive your bearings on and that’s an eccentric locking collar on the bearing. You’re suppose to use a punch in the hole that the set screw doesn’t go into and tap it around in the direction of shaft rotation.
Your correct buddy. video shows how to do it in basic ways but it's up to maintenance guy how they provide proper tools for every project available.. in that time we did just to run it for it will needed it very badly in the middle of busy operation..
