Easy Installation of a RH Sportster Swingarm Bag
Tips on how to quickly install a righthand swingarm bag on a Sportster. How to route the straps and snug the bag up to the frame. Detail on the parts that will give you trouble.
I'm installing on a Sportster Iron 1200, but it would be the same for any other recent 883 or 1200, unless you've removed your chain or belt guard, since the bag is secured to it. The product listed below doesn't come with any instructions.

Installing Passenger Footpegs on Sportster Iron 1200 (REMOVING THE EXHAUST SYSTEM)
มุมมอง 7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This is my How-to for installing passenger pegs on a Sportster Iron 1200. I read other youtubers who said they could do it without removing the pipes. I didn't like what I saw. For me, removing the pipes is no big deal. So here's THE VERSION WHERE YOU REMOVE THE EXHAUST. It also includes my left turn when the bolts I needed were missing and/or the bolt holes were the wrong size/pitch and having...

Do you have any problems with it basically rubbing the shocks? I always compromise how out of the way it is with keeping from being able to touch the shock You can get a small roll of paint protection film and put just little strips of it where the straps or bag might rub. I it on the rear fender where stuff from the solo rack might contact, and i put it on the tank where my Mustang seat makes contact. That stuff is a pain to put on if you're doing a large area but for little spots, especially where it's covered and doesn't have to be perfect anyway, takes no time.

Can passengers still put their feet on the pegs still?

Thanks for sharing your experience. I was contemplating ordering passenger pegs off Amazon or Ebay, but sort of glad I didn’t. I was lucky enough to find a guy selling some off his bike and they appear to be genuine HD. I haven’t installed them yet, but plan to do so in a few weeks when the weather turns. I hope I don’t run into the same issue regarding the brake res bolts, but if I do, I’ll know what I can do to get them on.

Thank for the video. My question is can you close your footpeg’s passenger with this bag or it’s impossible ?

Sorry for responding so late. No, you can't flip the passenger foot pegs up with this bag installed. But the bag sticks out about the same distance as the peg, so it really doesn't matter, in my opinion.

Thanks for the video, I installed the LH bag a few months ago and been wanting to get a RH bag, saw your video and bought one a few days ago... I installed the RH bag, took me a few minutes to get the straps over the frame behind the oil tank but got them through. I got enough room for the strap, it's right next to the belt wheel... it is sitting really tight. I have about the same space light yours from the muffler. Cheers

Not boring at all. Thank you for sharing your experience. I was going to buy an off brand but now I’m pretty sure I’ll just pick up the HD brand.
