Central Oregon is different than SW Washington. As cooler weather comes on the ability to handle cooler weather increases. Roof top tents are good fore mild weather. A good 4 season travel trailer is good for cold weather.

Winter is the best time of the year to camp in Central Oregon. We are heading to Crooked River for Thanksgiving. We have 8 inches of snow at our cabin but forecast is for clear and cool for Thanksgiving. As for nice Keep sticky traps in rigs to catch mice. We are mature and camp with an Imperial Outdoors X 185 travel trailer. Life is short but good.

Nice, looks like no one else was there. That is a beautiful campground. You made a new little friend. Frustrating but it was a cute little thing. I had one get in the back of my truck a couple years ago and heard it scurrying around. It finally ran out though a gap in the tailgate and I used duct tape to seal it up as a temporary fix.

Nooo, we picked up a mouse on our last trip too. Cheeky fucker made a nest under our back seats out of materials from the car, and would come out looking for food every night while we slept, we set all sorts of traps to catch him but we never managed to, little guy was too clever

Thank you for sharing. Camped here for a night a few years ago. It was amazing and beautiful. A little crowded even on a weeknight and the mosquitos were horrific. Despite that the lake and back drop are beyond amazing.
