An unusually friendly Echidna noticed I was filming and made its way down to say hello. Location: Anstey Hill Recreation Park, South Australia.
Ronnie is great!!!
I couldn't finish watching this ... Bad skit
@@Dwayne-u7b No one forced you to watch or comment. That sounds like a "you" problem!
Frank was a SGT in WWII. Awarded the bronze star and purple heart. That's how he was able to portray a drill sergeant convincingly! He was perfect doing it.
Corporal Slater.
About 1:42, is this the first time? Every week, Ronnie Schell did the same thing, on this program, the audience enjoyed it a lot when he was “so drunk” he was sliding down the stairs - not walking them, doesn’t anyone, besides me, remember that? 😮
These sketches were my favorite part of the show.
Do you have any more clips from this show? I am in search of Jim’s performance of “Listen to the Band”
Frank Sutton was the one reason we watched Gomer Pyle. My dad was a Sgt in the Marine Corps in WWII. He was great!
Frank was so great!!
I see Ronnie Schell every Friday morning so I’ll ask him next week and figure out the date for ya! Thanks for posting this!! Hope I can find more!
Gomer Pyle USMC civil version
Sometimes I wonder why Mr Sutton didn't have posters made. He was seriously CUTE.
Thanks so much for uploading this!!! 😂 Rest in peace to Jim & Frank 💔🕊
Of all the southern actors on the Andy Griffith show and Gomer Pyle USMC Frank Sutton is the only one of the southern actors who did not have a southern accent, he sounds more like he grew up in Brooklyn NYC.
probably due to the fact that he moved to New York City as a teenager to attend college at Columbia University. He probably acquired his New York-like accent there
@@jimnething1264 Could be.
One of Frank Suttons appearience in Marty. Marty was filmed in The Bronx.
@@mhbbej1 Yes, I remember him in the movie Marty.
Frank Sutton, definitely was the lifeline on gomer Pyle. I totally miss _ Mr.sutton.
I agree with W.😢😢😢❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I wonder why Barbara Stuart aka Miss Bunny didn't appear on this show? Or Elizabeth McRae aka Lou Ann Poovy?
Ms. Bunny or Louann should have[at least guest appearances]✔️
Without Frank Sutton Gomer Pyle would have flooped.
Absolutely
Yep, no doubt about it
What a living doll Mr Sutton was. OMG!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Frank Sutton left us too soon .
way too soon! ☹
I have never seen this!!! I didn't know this show ever existed..Please play more.....❤❤❤❤❤.....
That's Karen Morrow who played Frank Sutton's character's wife and Jim Nabors' character's sister.
Thank you! Do you happen to know the date it was aired, too?
@@DV-zv4ox Not too clear about when this aired since I found this searching for the Jim Nabors Hour on here but I'm guessing sometime in the first season (1969-1970).
yes
Ah ok, I didn't know he got married in the series.
