Amazing!
This is a great video of how to put realistic eyes on your models. thanks for the info . just one thing what size do you print the eyes ?. Thanks in advace
Hey, about 1,9mm for 1:6 scale heads, its calculated from average human size iris 🙂
@@3DPainting Thanks
When you say you add soft dry pastel what exactly is that do you mean a different type of paint ???? I’m trying to highlight areas and am struggling please help
Its a dry pigment, similar like make up. Try to google dry soft pastel
Stunning job, I have the 3 versions from gecco, I mean I had to buy 2 of the regular one and one battle damaged, so I have them on display with the helmet closed and the katana, helmet open and laser gun and the battle damaged
Thats what I call dedication 😂 Now I need to make another with closed helmet 😁
Hola Q pincel usas para pintar los ojos ?
hi, check the description
Hi love the video, I was wondering what varnish you use to seal your heads sculpt? Thanks
Hey, thank you, after all these years 😁 currently my favorite is citadel varnish. Also a good one is from army painter anti-shine matt. For an air brush, I love mr color super clear iii
@@3DPaintingthanks 😊
Great job
Did you cut out the hair in the model so you could add your own?
Yes, I even made some holes to be able to cut it out. It was messy.
@@3DPainting Yeah I as going to say, it looks like a nightmare. I think I see the holes you're talking about on the side of his leg, you clayed it. I'm working with the model right now going to print it 1/3 scale. Can you link the fake hair/fur you used on it the effect turned out amazing? Thanks!
Yeah, definitely a way how to cause yourself some troubles 😅. The fur I used is just fake lamb skin I picked in my local JYSK store. Like this one just lighter I guess: jysk.sk/domacnost/koza/umela-ovcia-koza-taks-60x90-svetlohneda
@@3DPainting Thanks. Yeah I might just print it and dremel out the fur instead.
Do you take any commissions? This cloud came out great
Thanks, I think the second one I made came out better 🙂
What is the scale size of the head?
1:6
What is the double-ended white rod you use for cleaning?
At what time am I using it?
Good job bro!👏👍
Incredible results and so great tutorial! Thnx!
Do a paint tutorial
Amazing! I think I want to try! I doubt it will come out nearly as good but it seems like a fun hobby of love
You should see my first paintjobs :D But getting better with each one, step by step
amazing bro hope u can read this, i want to try the eye trick in scale 1/18 can u help me with this how many mm are?
Hi, at that small scale its about 0.7mm and I don't think its technically possible, either print and also cut and place
I'm going to be hand painting my first headsculpt pretty soon and I'm an Artist and actually abit nervous .Have you rooted hair before? I'll be doing that as well .
Yeah, it can be messy but not too hard with a bit of practice. But I don't have any local access to good hair and its also a bit too pricy so I don't doo that.
What mix of Aerith’s theme is playing at the end?
That I don't remember
@@3DPainting cant you open your edit save and just look ?
@bladerj i don't keep old video files
This is the best tutorial ever, also very cheap! Not all of us can use and buy pastels. The only intimidating step would be varnish since it's not the same i would get in my country (argentina) that other people would have easy access to. It's cool to see that you used mostly paint and just used pastels for just some parts
Did you mix the color with water?
Nope, I use Vallejo airbrush thinner. Water only for washes
How do I buy this

@@3DPainting how in the world am I gonna find that on patreon
Los 4 Fantástico Wolverine Spiderman Doctor Octopus
Also what do you seal the black pastels with so it just don’t rub off
Clear varnish. I useed the one from citadel, or satin from army painter or you can use again airbrush. Best one is super clear III from mr. Hobby
@@3DPainting can I use Krylon UV-Resistant Clear Matte Spray can?
I guess so 🙂 just give it a try off the model if it "likes" your paints so you won't potentially ruin it
@@3DPainting ok thank you.
Would you recommend black wash or the powder shading you were using?
Only with airbrush
Disney Pixar Los Increíbles 2 La Película
Did I miss what you do for the best natural skin tone?
Well, been a while I made this one but I would say layers. Layers of different shades put on with different techniques to create depth and structure.
WOW! Excellent work. This is next level. I am impressed and inspired.
Wow fantastic
Great work! What did you use for the helmet?
Thanks! I don't get the question tho. For the helmet I used helmet that came with the model 🙂
Thank you for your advise.
Outstanding guide. Thank you, from this beginner. What varnish product do you use ? Brush on or air brush ??
Yw. You have to use lacquer varnish so its durable, also you have to spray it, so either airbrush or can, I use can cause its fast. Citadel varnish is a good one but can't get it anymore here so I switched to army painter satin
Amazing job. Great lesson too. Thx.
What is the value of this painting, ready? Great work congratulations!!!! 😃😃👏👏
I am to sure, this is 30+ hours of work for which I would take 300 at least, and that is just painting. There is also printing, material, cleaning.. Which makes this type of hobby difficult to make money of. Thanks tho.
Hi! What exactly is in that little bottle that you spray into the skin? I'm trying to understand your proccess for that amazing skin, but prob I'm too noob to get it.
Its 99% isopropyl alcohol, you can get it in most hobby stores, I use it to diturb upper layer of the paint. To protect other layers you need to seal it with varnish and let it dry, but still be careful, gentle and quick because alcohol can get trough varnish, you can even dilute it with water
Hi, werei can download the file for 3d print this cap????
Hi, its a garage kit bought from china
Master Painter, Awesome!
i'm subscribed to nomnom, because of their Final Fantasy collection lol. Awesome job
Amazing. I never thought of using dry pastels for shade. Thank you
Nice work, subbed
Senza barba sembra rocco siffredi
Amazing
Can you please explain the pigment on the facial hair. do you apply it dry? and seal with "Tamiya xf-86 and lacquer thinner". do you add any liquid to help the pigment stick to the figure?
You apply it dry on mat surface, it sticks well dont worry. Then you seal it with varnish of your choice. For example I usually use Army Painter Anti-Shine from can of Mr Hobby Super Clear III for AirBrush
Were to get it?
NomNom figures
So do you seal after every layer application in case of a mistake?
Well, I seal mainly when necessary, when you do washes you must seal because synthetic varnish is resistant to acrylic thinner and it dries fast. Otherwise you would destroy previous layer
This is the 1st tutorial ive watched that made sence to me. Others seem to rush through the highlights without showing exactly what color or in a order i can follow. I have several 1/6 and 1/16 faces ive been using as my practice heads and faces. Once i wake up a little more im going to spend the entire day trying to get my heads and faces looking as close as possible to this video. Ill actually post them once im happy with how they turn out. 1 thing i realize i was doing was rushing the process and attempting to paint the next shade or wash to soon. Thank you so much
Great work. It's a shame i`m a stupid talentless person :(
Talent has nothing to do with it bro, practice, dedication and patience.
Awesome idea !!!
In the video, you break the helmet off in several pieces, did you have glue the helmet back together?
I've printed two heads with helmet, I cut off helmet from the first, and cut off the head from the second. Then I painted it and glued them together.
@@3DPainting thanks for the reply. Yeah sorry, I understood that correctly. I guess I was surprised it was so easy to cut it out so cleanly. Great video. Thank you.
@@3DPainting now I just gotta figure out how not to break it when cutting off the helmet:) I’m 0-2 so far
I used dremel
