Low Cost Off Grid Camping at Lake Dunn, Queensland - What a Great Spot!
We enjoyed camping for 3 nights at Lake Dunn. Being in an unpowered site gave us so much space and we had front row seats to so much birdlife on the periphery of the lake, including a flock of brolgas who entertained us with their antics and bird calls. No need for tv reception here!
On the way to and from the campground we travelled along the Lake Dunn Sculpture Trail on the sealed road section from Aramac and checked out some of the sculptures along the way. We picked up a very informative brochure about the trail from the Visitor Information Centre in Barcaldine.

A Favourite Campsite at Silks Rest, Einasleigh, QLD! | Copperfield Gorge is So Accessible!
มุมมอง 192หลายเดือนก่อน
We had a great 2 night stay at Silks Rest campground at Einasleigh, a tiny town in the Etheridge Shire, Queensland. It was a great spot to stay, very laidback and lots of open space around us and a friendly owner who imparted lots of local knowledge. We were blown away by Copperfield Gorge, a stunning spot in the town! It was so accessible and very photogenic, even on a gloomy day! #visitqueens...
Wowed by Cobbold Gorge, Queensland! | Off Grid Camping | Stand Up Paddleboarding in the Gorge
มุมมอง 3242 หลายเดือนก่อน
We had a wonderful 3 night stay camping at Cobbold Village in outback north Queensland. From the village, the Gorge is accessed by guided tours - we went on an early morning SUP tour which was fantastic (didn't fall in the water!) and a mid morning walking tour up to the top of the gorge to the famous glass bridge, followed by a tour by electric boat through the gorge. @cobboldgorge The Savanna...

We had excellent home-made pies from the local hotel which we didn't film!

The Undara Lava Tubes are the best preserved lava tubes in the world and are the longest flows originating from a single volcano. To experience the Tubes you have to go on a guided tour which we did! We particularly enjoyed the bush walks located in the park precinct...

In this episode we stay at the Big 4 Outback Oasis in Charters Towers. We used it a as base to take a little break, restock our supplies and do a bit of washing before heading further north. We spent one night at the free camp just out of Springsure in Queensland. The drawcard is that the camp has Virgin Rock as its backdrop. Having been there before we knew that it gets illuminated at night so we wanted to be on the spot. Not only was it a sight to see but the sun rising on the rocks in the morning was a sight to see. We took LOTS of photos! We arrived at this campground before lu...

Thank you for your feedback! We were hoping to convey how beautiful this spot is - we were there mid week so it may have been less busy. Hoping to get to WA in the near future - it looks amazing!
Next time come across the road from the caravan park for a beer!🍻
Thank you for that. We are about to buy a caravan very similar to yours. It made feel better about the decision.
So glad to have been helpful. I hope you enjoy your new caravan as much as we have enjoyed ours!

@@russellwyborn3667 Thank you Russell. We were at Lara Wetlands in mid May 2024.

Awesome clip. We were in Charters Towers only 2 weeks ago. We stayed at Bivouac Camp Ground which is 20 kms towards Townsville on the Burdekin River. Its great to stay out there as you can have camp fires and also be plugged into power and water too or underpowered right on the Burkedin River. Check it out next time. Travel safety.
Hi, thanks for watching again and for your tip - had a look at that campground and it indeed looks awesome & the type of place we prefer to camp. Will put on our bucket list!

One of favourite areas. Just don’t tell anybody about it. Stayed several times at thr Pelican, however the price has become to much to stay too often.
It's a great spot! We love the north coast region so much. Used to visit Nambucca as a child and it has grown so much! Thanks for watching.

Hello sir! can I talk to you about your TH-cam channel? I wanna give you some secret tips about your TH-cam channel You will benefit from it. I think you are thinking something serious about your TH-cam channel in the future from where you can generate a passive income. You have already a lot of published videos on your channel but none of the videos are getting good views. Because your video SEO score is very low. If you want to grow your channel video SEO score to 95 then we can talk about it.
Hi, enjoying the videos, just wondering how the Triton goes with towing the Solera van?
I had concerns when I first started towing (and this is also our first caravan so a steep learning curve). Being a 6 speed manual I found that I was constantly changing gears to keep momentum and if I missed the right gear, it certainly became awkward. I then decided to have a dyno tune done and it has made a world of difference. The Triton pulls the van much better and I have found that I do not have to change gears as much and given the right circumstances I can easily tow in 6th gear. I would also say it has made the fuel consumption slightly better. Hope this answers your question and we are glad you are enjoying the videos. Thank you.
@@aussietravelgold4873 Thanks for the reply.

Hi Richard and Debbie Myself and my partner are looking at buying a solera 12 . Are you happy with yours and did you go for any of the optional extras . Thinking of buying standard and adding extras as we go if needed . Thanks Shane and Jenny
Hi Shane, we are very happy with our Solera 12. It's a good size for the two of us both to stay in and tow. (We had not towed before). It's like a luxury home away from home when we go on trips whilst retaining the camping feeling. We did go for optional extras such as the dust reduction system (so far so good but we haven't been on really dusty roads yet); gas heater which we use sparingly but was great for taking the chill off during winter mornings and nights; lithium batteries - all these were installed by Jawa prior to handover. We have since had an air assisted roof lifter installed by Jawa as neither of us could lift up the front of the pop top by ourselves (we are both in our 60s). We mention this addition in our next video. We are having a great time in our van, hoping to explore the Flinders Ranges next year. Thanks for watching!
We hope to get there one day, it looks beautiful ❤ love the macro pics, the detail is fantastic 👌🏼
Thanks for your feedback! It was a great spot to relax and unwind for a couple of days🔥
