Reflex_Essential: LEGO Education SPIKE Essential reflex game #InternationalDayOfPlay [English|HD]
Due to the #InternationalDayOfPlay, I built an alternative model for the LEGO Education SPKE Essential Set: a reflex testing game. The faster you are, the more points you get. But you lost if you are too fast or too slow.

LEGO Raspberry Pi Build Hat MOC: Tag-Remote for movies [English|HD]
มุมมอง 166หลายเดือนก่อน
The simple goal of this project was to test the Raspberry Pi Build Hat for a future project. I think that it's easier to give an informed opinion on a product if I tested it in a practical project. Well, it turned out that the project wasn't that easy. The Raspberry Pi is used as a remote for a movie player that's available for many devices like Windows, Linux, Raspberry Pi, Android, Fire TV an...
Direct connection between XBOX Controllers & LEGO Powered Up hubs possible (pybricks) [English|HD]

Some LEGO Powered Up fans have been waiting for this for a long time but now it's possible to connect XBOX video game controllers directly to LEGO Powered Up Hubs to remote control them. The advantage of "proper" controllers in comparison to the official LEGO remote is a better feeling. Also, most video game controllers have more buttons and "analog" input options. It's not limited to on or off...

    Ciao I’m using powered up to control the liebherr lr13000. Because I’ve modified some parts the standard app doesn’t work properly anymore. So I’m recreating the commands. Till now all works even the retiurn on “zero” position. Now I’m starting to put some limit to the movements. Can’t figure out how to do. First I tray to put a stop button on the return on zero. No success… then I give up and start to figure out hot to stop the manual movements at zero and the upper limit… no clue! Can you give me some advices? I’m not good to programming.. thanks!!

      I'm not exactly sure what you want as I don't have the model, but maybe you can try to "map" the actual motor values to the values between 0 and 100 or -100 and 100 with a mathematical function. You will have to add or substract something from the actual motor value to get to 0 or -100 and then you can use multiplication to get the "area" between min and max value to 100 or 200 (depending on if it's from 0 to 100 or -100 to 100). In the end, you will want to have something like motor angle = (slider value - offset) * sliderRange/motorAngleRange I think

    Hi, thanks for the reboot! You say in both versions of the video that large motor, xl motor and angular motors work with both the powered up hub and the boost hub. I finally managed to get my motors working with the powered up hub after forcing an upgrade of the hub Firmware. For the boost hub, I finally found out how to force Firmware Upgrade through the powered up app... But my motors are still not recognized through the powered up app when connected to the boat hub. Only the boost motor is recognized. Is there a special way to proceed to get the appropriate boost hub Firmware Upgrade?

      Hmm. It worked at one point for sure but it's possible that the boost hub can't be used with the "large" motors anymore :/ It will probably still work with pybricks but it might not work with the official powered up app

    I usually use a power bank for my RPi, like a power bank you use to charge on the go. I'm pretty sure you can power it via the GPIO headers too?

    • @technicmaster0tutorials
      @technicmaster0tutorials หลายเดือนก่อน

      The pi needs an external power source for the lego motors since they use both a higher voltage and more amps than most pi accessories do (it can be around 7.2V with 1A which would be 7.2W). For example a normal RPI 3 power supply does 5V and 2.5A which would result into 12.5W. That's more than 7.2W but not enough to also power the RPI at the same time. Most lego sensors work fine with 3.3V but I used motors, too. The Pi is powered via the hat which uses the GPIO pins if you use the build hat with an external power supply. /edit Another thing to keep in mind is that the hat as 4 motor ports. That would result in 4*7.2W=28.8W. That's probably above most RPI power source specs.

If i put the 88010 to the top of the list, only that will work. I if put the 88012 to the top of the list, only that work. The two together never. It is the Powered up app which looks totally different than this. The boost app does not seen to support the 88010. Can you please suggest?

      There will be an update for this video in the future because the powered up design changed

      No. The remote doesn't need anything. There is only a short moment after starting the program to connect the remote. Make sure to do both more or less at the same time.

    This is pretty disastrous for those of us still committed to using WeDo and EV3. I hope that someone can pick up the Android versions of the app for installation and host them somewhere

      There are already mirrors of the apks floating around the net. But I don't know which of them actually work and there is always a risk of installing something that you don't want

    Please can you make a video working with widgets? I only find videos with the old app, nothing helpful

    Good explanation but unfortunately outdated because Lego has upgraded the Powered-up app and now uses different symbols. Is there also an explanation with new symbols, that would be nice

      I started a new series for the new icons. There is a new part (more or less) every 2 weeks and the latest part is part 3 :)

    I have done coding for 42160 LEGO Technic Control+ Audi RS Q e-tron. It works rather perfectly.. But I need to do some modifications of my own.. Nevertheless we can use lego remote without any issues.. I will upload the code to hit and share it here once done.. Thanks for the video.. ❤

      Good to hear. What do you need to modify?

    • @mosikud
      @mosikud 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@technicmaster0tutorials currently it has only one speed when you press the button.. I am modifying the code such that when you press the button initially, the speed will be less, then if you keep the button pressed the speed should gradually increase..

    That's pretty sweet. Your layout pretty similar to the setup I have under my tree. I have the Christmas train, and the Christmas station, and a sensor stopping the train at the station.
