I followed these instructions, unfortunately, the hook plastic hook that broke was the one on the door itself not the latch.

Yeah I did the same mistake, replaced the valve cover gasket, then got to know about this stupid thing just after that. On the other side there is another plug like this though, odds are it will be leaking too, so I think it's better just the re-do the valve cover gasket again... plus it's easier.

Yup, that's where mine is leaking and there is no way I can do this job with my bad back and problems with my right hand. Thanks for showing this.

Bro you might've just saved me serious money. For the longest I thought it was pieces of glass that got into my AC vent system. (Unfortunately they had broken into my car and the glass went everywhere) They were chattering inside but most of the glass got out by now. But the sound is exactly like you said and only after a certain mileage per hour. I'm going to try the blue tape method and see if it makes the noise

Good job.....with the connector.. you need to pry the white plastic holder...it does come out.. you then use a paper clip with a flatten end to pick a small plastic tab holding the spade crimp terminal.

I have an older Honda Accord. I believe I need to replace my thermostat. I’ve been having trouble with loosening the plastic drain plug. It’s just stuck shut and it doesn’t do anything it just won’t turn.

I need to do this one bad on my old girl. We have done the valve cover, crankshaft seal, the oil pump seal, and the transmission seal. And now this one is leaking bad on the engine, tran, and exhaust causing it to smoke. How long would you say it took you to do this process?

Do we need to drain or add oil before or after? Not sure if oil has to be drained before pulling cam plug. Great video.

I have a 2004 Toyota Avalon and the AC worked a few months ago then the light started blinking then it never turned on ever again there’s no leaks and it’s full of refrigerant what do you think it could be ? Please help me

2006 Civic fan was making a buzzing noise. Inspected the fan and didn't find anything. Went to pick-a-part, found a perfectly good one for $13, popped it in, 3- T20screws, done! No more noise.

The latch won’t come off I pulled it uo and tried to take it off so I can fix the string but it won’t come off

It's so much easier just to remove the cam cover. Replace the little hall moon plug and install a new cam cover gasket. I do appreciate your video because I want to remove my throttle body.

Did you really need to erase the SSD? It was already formatted properly, and it was empty. You could rename the drive after installing the OS.

Thanks for making this video. I didn't know that this was a possible to have a leak here. Turns out I did. Like other commented, I replaced the plug by taking off the valve cover. But it doesn't give a good access to be able to remove the existing plug like your method does. But, there is plenty of room in that cylindrical hole that holds the plug to have two plugs. So, I didn't remove the old plug, I just put rtv in the hole and on the new plug and just inserted it in series with the old plug. I changed out the existing valve cover gasket and presto, no more leak. Thanks again.

You're supposed to take the valve cover off you fool.

Is the fix still holding up? Wondering how long until it breaks again since the tension is higher and still a small piece of plastic to hold it.

2 minute fix. Spent 20 minutes trying to slide the microwave from under the counter just to learn that I didn't even have to. The opposite side of the spring broke on mine. Which made it easier to fix. Just latched it to a slot in the door and done.
