Is this in handheld or docked gameplay?
@@tlon5431 Docked.
Brotherhood runs very well for me. The same can be said for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin's Creed: Rogue. They have all run pretty damn well for me on the Nintendo Switch so far, except for Assassin's Creed III. That game is definitely in need of some very major and much needed patches. Assassin's Creed III for the Switch runs like complete ass on the switch, for me. As for the others; Assassin's Creed II, Assassins Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin's Creed: Rogue all run damn near perfect with no stuttering, no lag, no crashes, no horrible jarring graphical glitches. They have been very solid experiences for me. Assassin's Creed III is the only one that, for me, definitely lives up to the disappointment expressed by many reviewers. Sadly I had to uninstall Assassin's Creed III because it was just too much to ignore. It became way too stressful and not fun or enjoyable.
Thanks for the update vid. For me specificaly there is only one thing I care about and thats the performance. Especially on this weak ass console. Since most of the games runs like shit on it.
This games main problem is half of the game u just not play with connor😂
Bruh this port is garbage, what are you talking about ? Constant resolution and framerate drops, insane input delay in handheld who the fk plays switch docked anyway..
Not for me. Brotherhood runs very well for me, same with Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin's Creed: Rogue. Honestly they all ran very well for me on Switch, except for 1 of them. Assassin's Creed III. Now that game could stand for some major and much needed patches. Assassin's Creed III for the Switch runs like ass for me. But Assassin's Creed II, Assassins Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin's Creed: Rogue all run damn near perfect. Assassin's Creed III is the only one that, for me, definitely lives up to the disappointment.
Is it me or are there problems with the PS4 versions of the AC games. For AC 3 I've noticed some oddities. For example, the opera house in the beginning, the box seats are dark where on the switch they are lit. Just small stuff like that. In the Ezio collection, Ezio will sometimes not wear the enemies clothing and the mission will play with his assassin's robes which was wierd but it doesnt happen on the switch.
Thank you for this patched version review of AC3! I've been waiting for the physical version to be on sale so I can grab a copy.
Uhm are the crowds density as much or as low as it was in the last gen port? I haven’t played ac3 so I don’t know
I wasn’t sure about getting it for switch because of the reviews when it released, thank you so much for this review I can’t wait to play one of my favorite games of all time again!
I've been experiencing resolution dips in densely populated areas in brotherhood. Any way I could fix it? Yours seems flawless. I'm playing in handheld mode btw.
They censored the "Titans of Industry" glyph in AC2. They don't show the elephant getting electrocuted. But tbh, I'm kinda glad about this change since that was always a bit too disturbing to watch.
The shader
It would be great if they updated the visuals
Thanks for this revisit. Same thing happened with the Alan Wake release and it wasn’t until another creator revisited the game with noticeable patch enhancements, making Alan Wake enjoyable, and not the mess everyone reviewed at release, desperate to get the influencer coin, not to give at true review, major patches and all.
nice vid man subbed ur highly underrated ngl
One issues that I has been troubling me. I have not been able to unlock the Desmond outfit. I completed all of the desmond's journey and collected the used to be required amount of animus fragments but the desmond outfit remains locked. I could not re-complete Desmond's journey levels as the exit gates gets glitched on a second playthrough you just walk through them and nothing happens Apparently this has something to do with the lost archive dlc. When you start a new game in revelations you simultaneously create a new file for the lost archive dlc. With the glitch I mention in mind if you delete the save for the dlc your able to complete the desmond's journey level one more time. Only for the glitch to return when you complete them again. I'm on my second playthrough after completely deleting the save from the switchs memory to see if that fixes this issues. but I'm making sure to collected the animus fragments before doing all of desmonds journey cause before I did the levels before getting the fragments. Since in the collection desmonds journey are all unlocked from the start instead of needing to collect fragments.
Same exact issue happened to me which really pissed me off and i seriously can’t believe how the Ezio Collection is so buggy that it even affects the outfits that you unlock during your playthrough, even on AC Brotherhood there are annoying glitches where the Medici and Venetian capes are not in my inventory and i lost my Raiden outfit after taking a 3 days break from the game after unlocking it and the Ubisoft Support Team told me to try to get the skin again in a new save file but honestly screw that, these glitches are the only reason of why i'm so disappointed with this trilogy and plus always on Brotherhood there’s a very old glitch which doesn’t show the Fast Poison in your inventory and knowing the Devs they will never fix that for how incompetent they are, plus on Revelations we can’t even find the last 4 wells to unlock because in total they are 31 but only 27 are the ones with the wooden planks when the other 4 are already open so this probably means that they were supposed to be closed too but Ubisoft messed up with those causing even a white square on our DNA sections to not fully become white since the wells were probably supposed to be collectibles but idk.
Nice one Sir, I subscribe right away and support you.
Thanks mate =D
@@ConsoleDaddy I am glad that someone still play The Ezio Collection. I also play it on Nintendo switch edition. Never regret pick it up. Skyrim is my next list
@@benthanos91gaming The old AC games are always a winner. Ezio's story is hard to beat.
@@ConsoleDaddy Never tired walking around in Ezio game, the music always touch my soul. Home In Florence is my favorite so far. This game inspire me to learn parkour and blend in the crowd.
You have no idea how helpful this was, thank you sir.
Thank you for making patched reviews for the collection!
I picked up the mega bundle of 6 games for $45
Thanks for doing this. It is important to acknowledge the patches and how they can fix an initial launch. The patches for The Outer Worlds on Switch were really transformative.
Hi, I've seen reviews by other youtubers saying that the Switch version of all the 3 games has fewer NPCs and more technical issues like popping or worse sound quality than the rest of versions. Also that AC2 has a weird fog in the ground and the blood has been censored (in the ground, in the enemies during the battles, etc) and the "sex" scenes (like the begining one when Ezio climbs into the window of a girl lover and she put her clothes off). With the latest patch has it been fixed all this tecnical issues? Did you note the blood/sex censhorship or is it an exaggeration?
Wow. Lots of interesting stuff there. A lot of the pop/tech issues you discuss have been resolved with the patch. I didnt notice any glaring audio issues. The weird "fog" you mentioned was in the PS4 version, so I didnt put it in my review. Now the censorship issues you have mentioned I am going to have to research. I would find it odd they would censor blood and sex in an M rated game, but Ill check it out. Gonna break my Xbox 360 out of the archive!
@@ConsoleDaddy nice, let me know when you have a conclusion. You should do a post-patch vídeo about the 3 games, not just Revelations, if there are individual fixes for each one.
@Pol Tergeist I did a brief post patch review for revelations. Still working on AC2.
It looks obviously worse than the wii u version it has downgrade draw distance and bloom effects and more pop in
Thank you for this. This helped.
I cant choose which one to buy between ac 3 and black flag, pls help me 😭
Thanks for the review really appreciate it.
I just got a switch and even though I do have ac3 remastered on ps4 and the original on pc something just was drawing me in to wanna have it on the switch and so far everything you said has been true it’s running really nice. Definitely see myself playing through all of it once again but on switch.👏🏼👏🏼
no lags?
@@nahoking1 like lagging? No! no issues so far
Wish I would of watched this sooner I ended up buying the rebel collection. I loved 3 but the videos I seen before patch scared me off even for xboxone/ps4
Hey gang- the patch released since this video was made fixed some of the issues I pointed out in this review. I will try to get an updated video out soon, but be aware my review is out of date!!!
You consistently ignore (I want to think you're not lying on purpose) REAL performance problems of this version. Been playing for the last week on my brand new Switch OLED and it chugs like crazy in many random areas and cinematics. I believe the patches were an improvement but it's still below 30 fps like 40% of the time, which is not exactly a small fraction of the gameplay. Plus it chugs even in areas where it shouldn't (Achilles' house basement, for example). Add the buggy nature of the game itself and what you get is a mediocre feeeling, unpolished product that shouldn't be bought on Switch unless you have no other console. This video is poorly made and doesn't depic the current state of the game.
Thanks for the feedback there fella. I was wondering how long it would take for a troll to invade this review. I stand behind my video and the game speaks for itself. I tried many times in the video to crash the framerate and failed to do so. The engine holds well. The Charles Lee chase was obviously very rough which is why I made sure to display it so people knew the ugly part of the port before buying it. There are still parts of the game where it does dip, but its usually brief and doesnt impact play (I dont care if I walk through Achilles house at 25FPS). The team did a GREAT job with this port despite the limitations of the Switch. If you cant be happy with it, Im sorry to hear that. Be well.
@@ConsoleDaddy Imagine pretending to take criticism well after calling me a troll for experiencing a much worse product than what you depict in your video. Is that's how professional you want your channel to be? To whoever reads this comment: the game is playable but this review fails to cover many of its technical imperfections. The fps is very unstable, check any other review, which will be closer to the DOCKED experience. The patch improved the audio but the performance boost was marginal. This video is not accurate nor informative enoguh, sadly, because there was clear effort. Not enough, of course, free roaming in one town (without actually running much, which is what would force the GPU via spawning elements on screen) isnt representative of the game. There will be many action scenes and the frontier, where the foliage slows the game down. The cutscene displays higher quality models at the cost of a very unstable fps (consistently <25). Is it enjoyable? Well, yes, but it's a very poor adaptation of the WII U's version, and far from a remake. There isnt enough optimization and its the most mediocre of the AC versions available on the Switch. Thankfully, its price is decent. I will not comment again, since I don't want to give this video more spotlight as I don't agree with it. I think your review is too partial compared to the actual game experience, call me a troll but I have just played through the whole game and I don't have the need to be destructive towards the game, the console or your channel. I am sure other people would agree with me. Maybe your standards are lower than mine but there's still not enough details about the game's flaws. Have a good day.
@@jesuscorrales8909 Implying right out of the gate that I am a liar isnt criticism, but trolling, so your words ring hallow. Your analysis is nice, but is not what I experienced. I have played this game since launch in 2012, so I think I have a good feel for the title. I have a feeling you're judging it based on leftover glitches from the 2012 version. Which I point out do exist, and I did not factor them into my review. But we will have to agree to disagree. But I will leave your comments here for other viewers to read and make up their own minds.
FUCK?I BOUGHT THAT SHIT FOR THAT VIDEO ,AND THE FRAME RATE IS A VERG SHIT ,DONT BUY THIS GAME ON SWITCH,BUY THE REBEL COLLECTION THAT IS OPTIMAZED AND FPS ARE STABLE NOT THAT CRAP
Or buy a fucking series x to play this at solid smooth 60fps
Love your videos you’re so underrated
Thanks for the kind words my friend! Would love a million subscribers obviously, but I still have fun here with the amount I have!
Did a patch fix It?
Yes. This video actually needs an update as the patch surprisingly fixed a LOT of visual issues. Will try to do a quick 5 min video this weekend if I can get my new studio up and running.
I love AC3 and when I saw all the problems with initial release of the remaster I was bummed out. Now seeing what it looks like with the patch it made me really excited to go back to it. Thanks for putting the time into reviewing the patches.
You never did the Altair check cuz for some reason the outfit is still the original even tho it was supposed to change but the switch didn’t get the Altair update
i forgot how stupid those big axes looked in this game, sheathed like a rapier
I LOVE your reviews of the Assassin's Creed III and Ezio Collection for the Nintendo Switch. Please, can you do the same with the Rebel Collection and its current state (last patches, etc), especially knowing that you gave it a 10/10 for a remaster (at least you said that in the AC3 Switch video). Also I discovered your channel because of that video, because I was searching for the patches and its improvements and Google recomended me the video because of the title you put it). Also I love the little hits, the little noises the microphone catches sometimes, like ASMR vibes xD
Hahaha. Yes my old MIC does give some interesting clicks. I have actually invested in a new one and I hope to take it for a spin soon. I have a lot of bass in my voice, so my old mic gets overwhelmed quite quickly and creates those funny sounds. Hopefully I can do more reviews soon.
Good review. The funny thing here is that the Switch version has not antialiasing neither depth of field so the image is way creasper than the PS4 or PS5 version that looks pretty blury or washed out , especially in cutscenes
I noticed that too. There were parts of the game that seemed crisper than the PS4/PS5 version which to me was a little mind blowing.
I bought this a month ago, so i never saw how it looked or ran before, but at the actual state i can say i'm pretty satisfied about the game. AC III runs almost always at 30-27 fps (depending on area) and it looks beautiful with full 720p in handled. On the other hand, unfortunately, i cannot say the same about AC Liberation. With Liberation i got so many crashes and so many fps drops (even huge) mostly swamp area and even though i managed to end it, it wasn't a pleasant experience all the time
Liberation does have some issues and I did not touch on it in my review obviously. But yeah, most resources clearly went to AC3 for this port.
So they still didn’t fix the sound of the charged shot? That’s one little feature that you can tell the game wasn’t really finished being made.
Bro I just passed my 10th And father asked should he buy me a PS5 or a Switch(oled) What should I say, I have never had a console before... Edit: I'm 15 tho
ps5 has a ton of better games imo but if you're into mario games or something or portable games such as these ported ones which I would say is probably the only reason I bought a switch is enough of a reason to get one.
@@nomad4699 thank you for replying
How's the framerate for the patched version?
hey thanks for doing these. I'm really grateful and have gotten the two switch versions based on your opinions. can you make a video for the Rebel Collection with your thoughts on whether or not that one is good too? i've never gotten into these games (I played AC1 when it came out when I was a teenager for a bit but got bored) and I want to get into it on my switch so I'm just wondering if that one is also worth it. thank you, even if you don't make another video!
Yeah I wanna know if the Rebel collection has some audio patch like the AC3 version too, as well as this Ezio Collection
@@foxsights yessss I already purcheased it and looks incredible o.O
I did a "quickfire" review on the rebel collection, but yes I need to do a more detailed review soon.
It’s probably even better now and on sale for cheap
And clowns say this game looks terrible on switch
It's AC3. Arguably the worst AC game. If you've played it once you probably don't need to play it again. If you've played it twice definitely don't play it again. But this is nice for someone who only owns Nintendo and hasn't played this.
th-cam.com/video/6fstPbNoAFU/w-d-xo.html Ok guys sorry for the delay, but the review for the Switch version of AC Revelations is UP. Brotherhood is next!
Hi! My names is Chris. Even though I have played through all assassin’s creed games from one to three on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. I bought the Ezio collection ports on ps4 in 2017 and sold my ps3 copy of assassin’s creed II because since I am a self proclaimed historian and I wanted to feel like I was experiencing these historical events. That was the souI purpose of me repurchasing these games on better hardware. Imust say I am pleased with the results. As amazing as the switch version is I have a strong preference for the ps4/Xbox one version because the the textures look so realistic and life like especially in the sunlight. It gives me the feeling that I am inhabiting the city in real life. I don’t really get that feeling when looking at the switch version but that’s just my opinion feel free to voice yours.
Yeah I still rate the PS4 as the best version...but the Switch isnt far off.
They took away most of the fog in revelations on Switch, so in some sense it's a cut back when compared to the original, but still better in other ways .
Yo I have a question since it appears on my copy of AC3 on the switch but fore the animal spirit Costume does the hidden blade bracers appear? For me they don't so I wanna know if this is an issue with just my game or if it's wide spread
bruh the no remaster original game for the ps3 lagged hard pretty much unplayable.
