There are so many writing groups in my area I just need to get out and try to find one that works for me

I wish I had a physical writing group!! I know there's gotta be more here, but im so thankful for our little discord! EDIT: regarding reaching out to friends online, how do you get the courage to reach out without feeling a little crazy haha

🦀I found 2 authors by going to author signings🐬 one of them is self published and she’s going to beta read my novel 😊 I’m printing some out and giving then notebooks to log their thoughts.

I made a writing friend by reviewing a couple of her books on Insta! We used to be in the same book fandom and she'd make these fun little fact videos. When she announced she'd written her own book, I got curious as someone who also wanted to start writing outside of fanfiction. One day she sent me a DM thanking me for the review and we just got talking from there really. I feel bad since this was back in like 2020/2021 and I've still yet to publish anything (RIP) but whenever we talk, she always says she's looking forward to my books and her support just makes me wanna cry lol

I had a local IG friend reach out to me a few months ago to ask if she started a writing group, if that's something I'd potentially be interested in. Sounded like it was in the early brainstorming stages yet, so I'm hoping something might come of it. I know she has several fantasy writer friends, so being in a group that's geared toward a certain genre would be a lot of fun, I think! Where you all meet looks so dreamy and perfect!! ✨
