You see, that is the cost that covers for my thumbnails, video editing costs and animations that I will be adding from next month. I am providing things for free as is. I don’t charge you for anything. I am already doing the things that most youtubers or other programmers wont. Because it doesn’t generate views. The core concept I provide is for free. The paid content is more niche things. They are for developers mostly.

Why did you make a macro to set an enum variable? It's an extra unnecesary step, apart from that, great tutorial and series!
To keep the concept of a setter. I could have used a function true. But I was gonna change it with tag. So kept it as macro as is.
@@unrealnoob72 Why not set it directly into the variable? I get that if you want to keep the variable private and change it in the future by another class, you can have a setter function, but a macro is to help you to "replace" multiple nodes by a single one on compile time, basically when you compile that blueprint, all the calls you had to that macro will be replaced by the same nodes that are inside it, in this case is only one, that is why I said its unnecesary, I haven't seen the future videos of the series, if in the future you plan adding more logic to that macro It would make sense to convert it to a macro then, but for this video it could end up confusing some people
@SejuruVT i have changed it in the next one. Check it mate. I usually keep no macros at all. Its just that I wanted a note to myself to change that one out later. Setter logic aren’t unnecessary in coding, but using a macro isn’t the right choice either.
What do you mean confusing? A macro is a force replace.

There wont be a BP version of this unfortunately. But you can follow along as is to make the system. Doing this in BP would mean I have to store variables in player or component and then access those to set values in ANS which impacts performance. And performance is a huge issue in terms of any development.
Wish you made this in blueprints. Wondering if I could just translate each line to a node or at least adapt the concepts 🤔
I was trying to. But there will be some limits to what you can do in Bp. So i am trying to have everything exposed to bp as much as I can. While utilizing c++ to make the perfect freeflow component.
Also a question. Are my c++ lectures hard to follow? Something that is not adequate in explanation?

Hey I started this series and in Episode 1, Sphere overlay actor is not returning any actor even though I have multiple actors in that radius. I have set them as Pawn only but still nothing. Any idea what it might be? Btw love this series and nice explanation ❤
Can you please come to discord for support? That would help me a lot. Also make sure capsule collision on enemies and mesh has a collision of type pawn incase you changed it to something. And they have generate overlap events set to true.

Hey, I am kinda new to UE and followed your tutorial. Works kinda great. Only thing that does not work is, when I press Q or any other key I binded my Animation Montage to, it only lasts around half a second. What I want to achive: Holding a Flashlight in the right hand and ALWAYS keep that arm up with a flashlight in his Hand while doing other animations normally. I hope you know what I mean ^^
You can use additives. Or just simply use animation layered blend node. If you need help debugging get in the discord server as it helps me to understand the issue in more detail.

@yamikanikalonge2346 yes. It is possible. If you are asking if i will. Yes. After AI, I will add gadgets, gliding. Stealth takedowns and so on.

Follow the tutorials, the issue has been fixed. you need a valid check before you set current enemy.

I havent thought of adding sfx yet for now. But will add some vfx for the attack trails in future videos.

If you want them to surround you, using the EQS system will enable them to find an open spot and occupy it.
Yes. Thats the general way. But that doesnt make them rotate around you in a smooth way.

can you do combat like in berserk ps2. In that game the most impressive part is how player can cut enemies and sword feels heavy and moves the player along the swing(super satisfactory gameplay)
Right now I have no plans for something like it because a complete freeflow system with all game features will take some time. But do go ahead and jump in discord for suggestions. If a lot of people ask for it. I might make one.

Please don't give up on this tutorial series there's no real good hand to hand combat tutorial on youtube that uses the correct unreal engine techniques. If you keep working on this system adding some finshers, launching a player in the air with an uppercut/kick , and a parry system would make this the best on yt. Also want to say thanks for the work you've done so far I've learned a lot watching these tuts.
I have no plans on stopping on this series. Or the horror one either. But yes. This is a weekly series. So it will carry on for quite sometime now before i publish the next horror one.

It will depend on your choice of animation. I would probably add them later. But the logic remains the same.
If I need jump animation so where should I implement it I mean at which code should I add montage to play ??
I didn’t understand your question. This video covers how these animations are being set to traverse through enemy to enemy using motion warping. Which works through montages.
