So did this song bring you out of your slump? You mentioned you lost everything before this. Was this collaboration your saving grace? Did the wife come back?
Hah! Same thing happen to a group called Mazerati, one of Prince's groups. Supposedly he gave a rough demo to one of his producers, David Z., to work on. Listening to the changes David made, Prince thought the song sounded pretty good, so after he also made some changes and additions, he decided to keep it off Mazerati's debut album and add it to his own upcoming album. The song turned out to be the #1 Billboard smash "Kiss" 😄
Last disco blockbooster song of the disco era. Lind original structure was better but string produced arrangement and PB angel voice, what a treat
That’s my big brother and he is the man! Still working! The most honest man I know! He is FAH and tells the truth! You might not like what he says but it will 💯 be the truth! 😂❤
Yes, you did an awesome job❤❤❤
It's Really Sad That The Emotions did,nt get Any money for this Song. They Scam them
This is not the first time that a song that was written for a group is given to someone else, and it becomes a big hit for them. "I'll be there" was written for Sammy Davis, Jr. but Berry Gordy decided it should go to the Jackson 5 and the rest is history.
Great song ... great vocal RIP James Ingram ... great production ... kodos Mr. Benjamin Wright
Wow ... and all this time I'm thinking Quincy wrote those string parts ... what a talent, what a story and what a stellar career!
It’s 2024 😮 thank you for such a beautiful timeless song ❤
LOVE the timpani!!!
The I am album was nice too. I bought it when I was 15yrs old on pay day.😂
Bro, I enjoy listening to your stories. But most of all I enjoy hearing you give all the credit to our Heavenly Father, because He is the root of all our success!
WOW!
Such an amazing performance. Thank you for sharing this with us.
As God would have it.......checks are still coming
Ya heard!
Lol!!! I love listening to Benjamin tells his stories. What a sense of humour and he's such a great story teller of his many musical encounters with the great acts that he has worked with.
👍👍👍👍
👍👍👍👍
What a story Benjamin LOL. When you are a great arranger and musician, you warm-ups can create master pieces and created one LOL. I met the White brothers at the complex back in the 80's. Maurice had the eagle-eye and a razor sharp vision. He always knew what he was looking for and he knew when he round it.
Great masterpiece of music!!!! Whoever, this gentleman is speaking on behalf of the song, "Boogie Wonderland," this guy did a great job on this song. 😊🎵
He's Benjamin Wright, strings and horn section arranger,he's freakin awesome. Check out his string arrangements on Michael Jackson's ' Don't Stop Till You Get Enough".
Benjamin Wright you know I love you and the family to the moon. Much love Mama B
The Emotions vocals really brought the song togerther.
Maurice White didn't pay The Emotions for their contribution to Boogie Wonderland !...not cool
Boogie Wonderland is an absolute masterpiece. So many levels thematically, musically.
This goes to show you that when something is destined, nothing can stop it.
This guy speaking is effed up in the head. He don't know if he wants to be happy, sad, upset or what. Effin old people. Smh
It gets that way as you get older. You'll understand eventually. We all will.
my, how music has taken a horrible turn
So what!?
Big brother you are silly.
Ahhh, a Engineer George Massenburg mention.
❤️❤️❤️👆🏾

Legendary, you defined an era and an artist! What an amazing collaboration 🔥
Too many words make your point clear , how did the the group The Emotions become to be a part of the video.
Benjamin is my 1st cousin's Uncle. I met Benjamin back in the late 80's. Nice 'cat'.
@PepperWilliams One Love Fam...
Man!!!!! His work with strings and horns is amazing. I love his work man.
Nervous NOT Benjamin Wright...no way. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great story teller
Love these stories! Very inspiring, my man.:)
Great story and Find One Hundred Ways is a great song.
This song was actually written by a white couple and it was based on a life style of drug addiction, and fast life style. The couple even admitted they were surprised with the content of the song that earth, wind and fire wanted it.
Wow, I did not know that....
Yes, the song was written by Allee Willis. She died a while ago. Yes, she was white!
So Booger Sugar Wonderland...I get it 😂
She wrote/co-wrote half of the songs on the I Am album. Add David Foster, who also contributed to the other half and include Bill Champlain of the group Chicago, who wrote the lyrics to Foster's music for After The Love is Gone then you can say practically the entire Album was written by white folk. The point is, and paraphrasing Maurice, "Never let skin color get in the way of a groove. "
@@Nclght He said never let WORDS get in the way of a groove.
Great story! I know this man's musical history so he's just letting you know what the deal was...thank you!
Im part of it
That’s my big brother!
2,021AD Brittany in France 🇫🇷 🇫🇷 JUNE 28th. Anniversary Reunion, vibrations , Jackie Venson playing Antone’s at Austin - Texas , “ JOY ALIVE “ on my mind as JOY BRADSHAW , I am her Son and this 10 years in Faro District Hospital , her Journey to paradise commenced so I clicked on my iPad and you appear only to mention Mr. Don Myrick , Genius . Last-time we said farewell in front of Groman’s Chinese Theatre, Don said , “ Pete , get-down “. To-day I write thinking of Don and Family , “ Well Hell , yeah , Lord Jesus , I would dearly like to meet you , as we are the Survivors “ . Thank-you from Pete , Praise the Lord in our Sunset Years. See me , apb …..adieu, Mr. Wright , 2,021AD .
This guy isn't credible! He sounds like He has nothing to back up his story and Maurice is not there to collaborate These claims! It wasn't that easy to put Songs together and it sounds like Maurice was involved with writing the Song with the Curtis brothers and did invest cash in the production! Boogie Wonderland is nothing without the 🎶 🎼 musical and 💃 dance 💃 Arrangement and staging done by Maestro Maurice White! The 👦 guy Speaking sounds like he is just an Old disgruntled man who was never A success with 🎶 music or anything!
Christine Timmons, Google him, he ‘s not a disgruntled failure
@@kennynym This disgruntled old Man is a failure for what he wanted to be and he's obviously jealous of the great Success Maurice White had! I don't want to Google this old has been or wannabe! He can say negative things of Maurice, But no one is listening! The songs this Old man speaks of didn't become songs Until Maurice White's EWF performed Them with his magnificent body and Choreography! He gave a life to songs! Now that he's passed, this old failure Wanna be thinks he can throw shade on Maurice White the Great Maestro and Singer/Choreographer! That old guy Acts like he has Alzheimer's and in The last stage of dementia! He cannot Throw shade in his crazy dementia!
Christine Timmons, You've missed the whole point of what this very well-respected musician / arranger was talking about! You are so typical of what is wrong with a lot of people today....You go off on a misguided tangent, and you don't even have all the facts, have NO CLUE of who this man is, nor his contribution to the world of music~ Let me CLUE YOU IN DEAR.... He and Maurice White were comrades in the music game. They respected each other...He was not bashing Maurice. Yes, you do need to read up and educate yourself on a lot of things before you go off the cliff & into the ABYSS OF DUMB!!!! What An IMBECILE You Are---AND PROUD OF IT TOO! **Apparently**
Charles Stepney in reality … ask Bailey . Fight the good fight , believe .
@@dariusdiamante317 We Love you, vibrations , everyone is entitled to their own opinions . I came onto You Tube , June 28th 2,021AD to hear Jackie Venson at Austin Texas , Jackie Venson , “ Joy Alive “ and by chance I am here from 1979AD on Sunset .
