I go with my friend Don to get his RV that’s in tarpon springs Florida and bring it back to Tennessee. The 2nd Hurricane is heading to Florida and is going to bad. So, after getting the engine back in the lark. The rest of the parts for the rear end are here. Ethan and I got the rear end centered and the spring perches tack in place. Now it’s time to pull it back out and finish welding the perches up, then out of the blue my back goes out on me. After about 4 days of rest it’s time to get back to work. After changing the oil pan and pickup tube on engine for the Lark, we got it installed in the car. We started to get the engine harness plugged in on the engine side, still have to figure out where everything is going to land inside the car.     I don't think the gen 3 hemi has much of a problem with detonation. I have a charger rt 170k on it. Engine was like new. Dropped a valve seat. 😢 I have an complete VVT eagle head Engine going back in it. Pain in the ass to swap that tone ring. Buying a cam kit for a gen 3 hemi makes my wallet hurt. For my money force induction is the ticket.

    Watched this just to see what this motor looks like apart. I have a 2009 Challenger SRT8 with a 6.1. I’ve had it for just over 6 years and keep up with oil changes religiously. I had 69 K miles on it when I got it and now 109K. Still runs great. I have no idea if the previous owner kept up on oil changes, but seem like it as it runs so well. Hope mine is as clean as this example. Cheers

      For my personal stuff I use 600/800 emery cloth with WD-40 or atf . For other people I send it to the machine shop and have them do it.

    I just had my lifters replaced and cam, 2015 hemi ram and I still have a tick at warm idle with 26psi and it’s not the hemi tick, when I throttle it it goes away, I had the high flow melling oil pump installed also

    Q for mopar AL , I have an 05 Jeep Hemi engine , I have a set of 6.1 heads , I also have 6.4 vvt cam , lifters push rods springs MDS solenoids , And I have early dual quad carb set up ….. would like dual carbs + 6.1 heads on my 05 Hemi , i want to put this in an A body . Cheers

      6.4 VVT cam will not work in your 05 block., the Edelbrock 2X4bbl intake for the G3 wasn't a bad intake they just didn't sell enough to justify the cost, the Indy Mod man with a 2x4bbl top, is fine for EFI with 2 4bbl throttle bodies...But stay away from it as a Carb set up, too many fueling issues in "part throttle" driving , center 4 cylinders run real rich , cylinder #5 steals too much From #7 and leans it out bad. Really good intake for that combo is OCperformance's dual plane.
