Function Packed EDC Sling: Hyphenate Street-Slang 3.5 Review
Great review. I thought I wanted x-pac material but all of these reviews confirm how loud these bags are when using and opening. Is this a good observation or is it amplified being in close proximity to the microphone? Is it a real concern?? I think I want the older material that is more pliable.
I'd suggest scripting your video in the future to get rid of all the extra fluff and waffle
would you know if it would fit a 16in Macbook?
Hi there! The X-Tote is going to be a little small for a 16" Macbook unfortunately. We recommend getting the bigger X-Case instead. Thanks for watching!
Can’t wait for the Mars pack to finally ship.
Us too! Hopefully by the end of this month 🤞
Show an actual use case
Yes! We'll be making another video soon 👍
It was great to hear an update from you Eddie! All the best with the shopfront, its going to be an exciting time for Brooklyn once you guys open up!
Thanks for letting me know. Every little thing really does encourage me to keep pushing! I definitely hope to see you there during our grand opening!
Is it possible to somehow wash it inside after sweety days?
Hi there! Code of Bell recommends using a soft, moist cloth to clean the BASI[X] hat, then hang dry away from direct sunlight. It is not possible to machine wash it.
great video
Thanks for watching!
How is the soft cloth material with creating dust?
Hi! We've been using our laptop sleeve for a couple weeks now and haven't had any issues so far. A gentle pass with a lint roller should be enough to clean the inner area though in case it does get a little dusty.
Great review! I kind of want both, but I think I’m going to start with the A5 because I often take notes without a desk and it’s just a little bit easier to handle. Question for you, though; does the front of the A5 model also fold all the way around so you can hold it in one hand or is the A4 the only one capable of that?
They both should do the same thing essentially. One is just bigger than the other!
@@urbancred Thank you! I ended up ordering the A5 in Terracotta, but who knows, maybe an A4 is in my future as well. Thanks again!
Could you show us how the annex case attaches to the x-tote? There's no pics or videos with this but it's advertised to be able to do so.
Hi there! The X-Tote comes with plastic clips that help you attach the Annex series to the vertical webbing on the sides. You can see it demonstrated in this Pack Hacker review of the X-Case: th-cam.com/video/J2DXqQmtaFU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=MY1hEs3vMYyL1dbj&t=857
@@urbancred thanks bro!!!
Thanks for this! Gotta check it out asap
Please do! Hope you like it!
What's that gundam pack behind you on your right?
A special pack we'll have very soon in our shop. ;) hush hush.
This is the best sling bag on the market, I have the black one but I want one in every color.
Agreed! We're pretty big fans of the Tropic and Daybreak colorway too 🔥
House-ton! Not hooston

I stand corrected. 🫡 I will now go cry in a corner now. 😂
cool store! I literally didn't have enough time to go into the London one when I was over, but maybe next time, I can share that 😄 love the content 👍🏻
Thanks for the support! 🙏 Would love to know what the London store is like! 👀

😅 Thanks for the support!
Love these update videos! Excited for your pop up at Windup in May :)
Come visit! 😉
No pass-through sleeve for airport
Yep, no passthrough but if you're traveling with it, it won't be as heavy as other carry on bags since it's a smaller size!
Wow I need to buy this for my husband!
I'm sure he'll love it!
Seeing you fill the bag with stuff would help see the functionality and structure of the bag.
Totally! We'll make sure to do that for our next bag review. Thanks for watching!
Love the review!
Wow, thanks a ton for the love! 🙌 Really glad you dug the review! Means a lot. Would love to get you on a podcast interview sometime!
When you have other pouches or bags dangling around at your main bag, that means you need a bigger bag😂 it looks weird to have too many bags attached to your straps😂
So you're saying to buy a bigger bag to put my other smaller bags into...
Seems dopey. I got a stainless steel set on Amazon with knife, fork, spoon, chopsticks, two straws, pipe cleaner, and bag for 1/3 the cost of these titanium ones.
Absolutely, the materials definitely play a big role in the price difference! But honestly, what matters most is that they work for you. If you're happy with them, that's all that counts!
I bought this bad boy because I travel a lot and I needed something durable for any occasion that could hold all my essentials i.e. passport, credit cards, ID, and keys. So far I love it and it works as intended. The only draw back (for me) is the strap that adjusts the length is kind of weirdly designed where it either drapes down unclipped like in the video shown worn by the model, or if its clipped leaves an akward loop. I don't get why they wouldn't just make it like any other adjustable strap where it can be adjusted and worn flush with the main strap. I guess its an aesthetic that some people may find cool or unique but I personally prefer practical use over aesthetics.
Yep! Wearing it inside your jacket also makes it more secure as well if you need to. I will pass on your suggestions to the COFB and let them know your thoughts!
Was the ear buds/wallet pouch suppose to come with the bag purchase ? Because I just got mine but there was only the sling. 😮
@@damonmeisner2008 nah, thats seperate but I guess they showcased it because it pairs well and illustrates how you can accessorize the case with the multiple clip points. That's the zipper case you're referring to, which goes for a separate $20 but looks to be currently sold out as of writing this.
I have the old version, and it goes in my daily rotation from time to time. Frankly, I can't imagine even more padding on the straps, as they already feel like overkill on a bag this size. The upgraded liner and sternum strap would be nice, but not enough for me to want to repurchase the new version. As for color, one thing to note is that the green is actually a different material from the other 2- VX42 as opposed to VX21. This makes the bag slightly heavier and stiffer feeling, but also significantly more abrasion resistant.
I agree, it's similar to a new car! Nice new features but not enough to warrant buying a new replacement. Thanks for your thoughts!
Nice review. You should have worn it as well.
Next time! It's a learning process and we'll showing bags being worn in future videos. Thanks!
Nice reivew! is it heavy to hold for long time?
The bag itself isn't very heavy if you hold it for a long period of time but it of course depends on what you fill it with.
The back panel sucks. Your back will sweat even in moderate temps. Other than that, it is a great bag.
Fingers crossed on taking your feedback and improving it more in the future.
Is your comment about the back panel based on lived experience with the bag or just an observation of what you think will happen? I’ve seen this comment a few times but no reviewer has expressed a big issue with it. Thanks.
@@geep8591 IIt's from my experience wearing the XPAC version. I also own a Ripstop version but haven't tried it out yet.
The shoulder pad is very hard for me. It hurts.
The V2 should be an improvement over the V1. The straps themselves are much more cushioned compared to the first version.
Relatable back problems 😂
A sign of maturity but mostly just getting old. 😭
@@urbancred 😂🥲

@@urbancred 😂
It’s hard to justify that price. Good review though. I’m glad I found it.
Hey! Thanks for your thoughts! I feel like when you see the right pack and get it in your hands, you'll know if it's worth it. This may not be it but I'm sure there's one that's the perfect one for you!
Just got it brand new for $40
Great review mate 😊
Thanks! 👍
Good review. Don’t need a sternum strap on a 13L bag. Think I’m gonna get this for my oldest daughter. I’m going to get the Able Carry Daily Plus for myself.
Yeah, for a 13 L backpack, you probably don't need a sternum strap unless you'll be lugging goruck plates!
This company is full of trash. Their backpacks errant or errant pro die pretty quickly in the sun and quickly crack and die. They won't read your emails or respond to you. No guarantees. Complete ignorance of your problems. And the backpack was thrown into a landfill. Their accessories also crack quickly. For example a bag aux.
Did they ever offer it to the general public with the grey xpac and the gold interior? I only ever saw reviewers with it. I like the olive/grey color they offer, but I'd prefer the xpac.
I think I know which one you're talking about. It seems to be an earlier version that was updated to be without the brighter yellow/gold interior.
Love the way this was done! Keep it up mate!
Thanks a ton! I appreciate the feedback in the other video. Thanks for your support good sir!
First of very nice amount of details and really a no nonsense kinda review so thumbs-up to that! Finally, heres some unsolicited advice ( you knew this was coming 😂) may be try running off a script so you can focus more on the delivery as occasionally it became dry and monotone. Adding photos from top down angle maybe? Hope to see more stuff from you already subscribed after watching one video! Cheers!
Much appreciated! You make some great suggestions. I will try the script idea. The top down idea is great as well! Much love from NYC!
Great review! There's only 2 reviews in total out here on youtube for this X-Tote 3-way, so much appreciated man for your awesome review! Quick question, how do you find this in comparison to the X-Case? Is the Tote like a smaller version of the X-Case but without the double shoulder backpack carry mode? And also, have you experienced any case where the messenger carry sling buckle comes off easily?
Hey, that's pretty much how I would call it. It's more nuanced but that's the general idea. The messenger strap buckle holds tight so you don't need to worry about that. If you're ever in NYC, you can see them both in person at our popup shop!
Great video! What is the model of the laptop you showed in the laptop sleeve? I am asking because I have a 2019 MBP16, which is quite big, but it usually fits in 14" sleeves. Thanks!
Hey there. Thanks for watching. I am using an older model of the ROG Zephyrus G14.
MBP16 fits👍
"promosm" 😡
:/
Watch at least 1.25 speed. A lot of essential features demonstrations were skipped while other things should’ve been skipped about this review.
What are some of the features we missed? Share it with everyone else!
Good Video. How feasible would it be to replace the shoulder strap with for example a axis sling? Is the shoulder sling removeable at all? Also the review could have shown the carry options a bit more :)
One our first videos! It's a work in progress so we appreciate the feedback. Regards to the sling strap. If you're talking about the axis from Orbitgear, than the attachment points I believe are different in size so it wouldn't work. The width specifically.
I’m considering this bag alongside the Remote Equipment Alpha 31 and Attitude Supply ATD1. I’m looking for EDC that can expand when I go grocery shopping. Do you have any opinions on how they compare and if you have a preference. Thanks!
Oh wow. Those two are really great bags. We've even reviewed the ATD series on this channel before! Our friend Bo Ismono often uses ATD bags for grocery shopping. For this bag, the significant difference would be the capacity. This X-Type is a 17-20ish capacity backpack. So you can fit two cartons of milk and about two toilet paper rolls. But the ATD1 should be able to fit more + the roll top function. We don't offer Remote Equipment on our site (hit us up, Remote Equipment!), but their expansion only expands a few liters. So, if you're really getting a bunch of groceries and that's really important to you, the ATD1 expands from 20-55 L and would be able to fit much more. FYI, our website has the ATD1 for Pre-Order for 10% off! Just a heads up. :) urbancred.com/products/atd1-backpack-ecopak%C2%AE-600d-edition
