I want to pick up Medevil and play it, either the original or remake. I played the demo for the remake and enjoyed it.

That was a nice touch to show the classic outfit afterwards, but the new outfit looks awesome.

Two awesome trailers back to back with awesome SNK characters. I can't wait to see how Mai is in SF 6, but COTW looks amazing and I can't wait to play it!

@@JonMcBon yeaaaah, dude, saaame. l would love to see mai's supers in SF6, it is like exact same thing as KOF XIV & XV, expect to level 3 / critical arts supers, it is all new one. and yeah, probably we're getting mai's release from SF6, which is january or feburary.

@axelhunter321 That's probably my guess for Mai's release for SF 6. This also makes me more curious to see who is going to make the roster for COTW, both base and DLC.

@Shinky I'm thinking it'll be like KOF XV and we get two season passes for this one.

It's interesting that we're getting the base roster plus season 1, otherwise it would be just 17 characters.

I know the sound in Doom doesn't get talked about much, but that's a great example of how effective it was and can still be today. It really helped the atmosphere and build a sense of dread and scares.

Why do you say that?

Play with the lights on, have someone you trust with you while you play, just think happy thoughts. I don't know if they will help, but it's a suggestion lol.

To be fair, my picks weren't in any order either. Those are some great selections, and it's nice to see Half-Life and Unreal. Those are amazing games and definitely deserve to be there. I didn't play Pokémon Gold, I got Silver at the time. I think the difference was that some Pokémon were exclusive to each version, right?

@@JonMcBon Thanks, man! I enjoyed hearing your list too. Yes, Pokémon Gold/Silver just have some version-specific exclusive Pokémon and different in-battle Pokémon sprites.

They have great replayability, agreed. Heart of Winter was a good expansion as well for Icewind Dale. I would hope to see a third entry someday.

The jump to 3D is something that you had to be there to experience and understand the impact it had. Mario 64 is something that changed the landscape and I'd also say that Quake I'd another example of that for their respective genres. It's nice to revisit the classics and see how far things have come.

It might have been the jump to VR display, but alas.

@@murderdoggg VR is still something I haven't tried myself for gaming yet. I did see a video with it, but I think it would be cool. I really want to try Resident Evil in VR.

This one was focused more on games when I was younger. I wasn't young when Ys VII came out lol. That would be for a different video, modern games that make / define me.

@@hybridvigga I've heard of the Touhou game, but haven't dived into them. Do you think that two would be a good one to start with? Those are all excellent choices and classic games in their own rights. I was actually playing Outrun recently on Switch and Coast 2 Coast on PC. Such a great series.

@@JonMcBon the PC-88 games are all awesome (1-5 where she's riding a turtle for some reason that is never mentioned again, then 6 is the first windows style PC one) but the first game isn't a shooter, it's like a an arkanoid style game with an animated character instead of just a bat. It's worth going through just to hear the music to be honest. but yeah, 2, 3 and 5 are proper shmups, while 4 is like twinkle star sprites if you ever played that, like a versus shmup with you and your enemy having separate screens and getting combos to mess each other up (not alt-tabbing and researching it or nowt, but it could be 3 is like twinkle star sprites and 4 is the shmup.) Seriously though, if you start with 2 it's all good, the first level is just a level, but when that music kicks and the pace of the level picks up in time with it on stage two, THAT moment is to 'getting' Touhou games like hitting your first combo in Streetfighter II was for getting that one. But if you want to start out with just two to play to give them a shot, start with 2 on emulators (NEKO core in retroarch, I don't do batocera so pass on that one) then try either 6 or 7 as the first PC ones. The fighting game spin-offs aren't super great fighters, but all of the shmup games (and a lot of the fan shmup games) are awesome. Turned me from a Hori fan to Vert guy, before I played it, Thunderforce IV would have been on that list instead, and even though they don't actually have a tate mode, getting that into verts ss what inspired me to put my old telly on a gimble so I can play other ones better, instead of getting rid of it when I got a 4K one.

Icewind Dale 1 is awesome! Better than Baldur's Gate in a lot of ways. It's much less character driven tho since you build the whole party.

In it's ways, I agree. I like how you can create your own party and the game is designed that way. It feels like a big adventure.

I've heard of Sled Storm, but not Rogue Trip. What is that game about? I wish there was more split screen games to play, they need to come back.

When you do get to finishing Resident Evil 3, let me know what you think of it. It was a different game compared to 1 and 2, but I think it still holds up today. For Resident Evil, I played the Remake before playing the original. The differences were big, but they didn't take away from the original vision. It was a great experience, but 2 did take it to the next level, for sure. I have Dark Alliance on PS2, I think. I only played the opening section of it. It's a different game than what I thought, but it seems like a fun one. I wonder how it's sequel is. I have to check out the GBA version and see how that one is.

@@JonMcBon Dark Alliance on PS2 is kind of like Diablo. There's a story, but the focus is on getting loot and equipping your character with the best gear. The local multiplayer made it so much fun to play with my brother and sister. The sequel is more of what the first game was, so it you like the first game, you'll like the 2nd. They've brought the PS2 games to modern consoles and PC but I don't know if they're good ports. The GBA game is a 2D isometric version of the PS2 game. It's not a 1 to 1 copy of the PS2 game, but it does such a good job of replicating the gameplay of the PS2 game. Since GBA games are usually entirely different from their console counterparts, it's crazy how faithful it is to them.

@wes773105333 I did see Dark Alliance 1 and 2 come out on modern systems, but I haven't heard if they're good either. If there's still the two player option, then the console may be the best bet for it. Thanks for the information on this.

RE2 was epic. Completed it when I borrowed it off a mate for PS1, and then bought it the day it came out for Dreamcast, completed it again the other way around (if you do claire first, then leon, there are technically four ways through it as leon first, then claire, are both slightly different.) 4 changed too much for me (and 3 lost the multi-path thing, but to be fair it WAS supposed to be a low budget spin-off, and Code Veronica on DC was gonna be Resi 3, but SONY paid to get the numbered sequel put on the game that was never meant as one), didn't 'feel the love' for another resi till remake on the gamecube.

@@hybridvigga Two is still the classic to me with thr multiple playthroughs and being different, but interconnected with the other character. I believe the canon for story is Claire first, then Leon second. Three was a bit more simplified, but was more of a side story turned into a main entry. I still enjoyed it, none the less. Four did change things a lot and sent the series in the action first direction for a while. It's nice to see it go back to horror, where it belongs.

@@JonMcBon the original trilogy is on gamepass, and I think VideoGamesPlus had it on sale recently. Unfortunately the original trilogy didn’t get a physical release in NA but it got an Asian English release
