You can still play any of the old games and rulesets you want. And not games were simple as you say. As far as new games go unless you’re playing in an official tournament there’s no reason why you can’t house rule games down to as simple as you like. This ability is one of the things IMO that makes this type of game better than video games where rules are set in stone. ✌️

Around 1:46 The guide said that withdraw is not allowed after an attack. However, the document says that "Creature troopers can attack and withdraw during the same activation." So, it looks allowed. Was there any exception in this game?

Neat terrain! The big steps are effectively area heavy if the attacker is at lower elevation. That's because of the geometry of tracing a line to the back of the defending unit's base.

Okay I liked and commented early but the end got kinda weird. Scoring at the end, it looked like blue got one point for primary and zero for secondary because they dropped their scanner. Red secured three bunkers and was ruled in their deployment so didn't score secondary. That goes to kill points, no?

Good game! There was a shot for the clone player at 1:44:01 with the AT-RT. Notched bases get a free 90 degree rotation at the start of a move, so a turn to the right could have gotten into melee with the scouts and sent 3r into them with no cover or low profile. Would have extended the game a round by denying the secure.

Great video, just one thing I need to ask... at 2:04 do you choose them from a face down position so it's random or do you choose which one you want to do? Same with the Vito-ing part?

Oh thank you. I'd played about a dozen games at home and haven't totally understood the changes.

Needlessly overcomplicated. I remember the good old days (1985) when games were short and to the point on rule sets. BattleTech, Car Wars, and Star Trek spaceship battle tabletop games. These days it seems every company wants to add these senseless rules and stupidity to make themselves look in-depth. It's not a good thing.

Comprehensive video. One note though: it would be worth mentioning that you need 3 corps units in your roster (outside of battleforce) :)

What a great game. The Imperial player saw multiple openings and crushed each time. Even with the Republic player trying to cut corners for weird rules advantages, the game wasn't close. Kudos to Empire for trying to stay friendly despite the vibes.

These are good. Looks like you could use more traction but your breakdown was a unique perspective on the AAT (at least to me), and most unit breakdowns are outdated now. If you made more of these, I’d definitely watch!

16:15 you can spend one surge from commander to get one 3 move, not two 3 move. Nor can you spend two surges with the same unit to get two speed 3 in the same round.

This 6 mins video actually feels like a 30+ mins video. Thanks for the effort!

The second was that after the game started, I should have played assault and order Echo, then directed to the rocket P1s and fire supported into Bossk to try and take him out of the game.

I think I made two choices earlier in the game that I regretted. The first was deployment. I believe I should have put everything in the right DZ and used the large structure to be able to control the center intercept and the right intercept points.
